Contrary to the damaged form Zuke had seen in the original, the Red Hot Chili Pepper before him was clearly intact.
"Good. I knew you wouldn't sit idly in prison," Zuke smirked. His suspicions about Akira were correct.
Though Akira feared Jotaro's Star Platinum and stayed in prison without attempting to escape, he had been secretly restoring his Stand.
Red Hot Chili Pepper only needed electricity to recover, and prisons are never without power. By siphoning small amounts of electricity each day, Akira had managed to bring his Stand back to full strength.
It was likely that once Jotaro left Morioh, Akira would attempt an escape.
This wasn't confirmed in the original story, but given Akira's sly nature, it was highly probable.
This outcome suited Zuke just fine. Akira's efforts saved him the time and trouble of forcing a recovery.
In 2001, the current timeline of the JoJo universe, Red Hot Chili Pepper's ability to manipulate electricity wasn't too remarkable. Its full potential would shine in the modern world, dominated by technology and the internet.

A black bird materialized beside Zuke.
In an instant, before Akira could react, it grabbed Red Hot Chili Pepper by the throat.
Despite the massive strength Red Hot Chili Pepper had accumulated in prison—enough to rival top-tier Stands like Star Platinum—it was helpless against the bird's overwhelming power.
"What… What is this strength? Impossible…"
Red Hot Chili Pepper, choking under the bird's grip, clawed desperately at its captor's fingers but couldn't budge them.
The sight terrified Akira. With his Stand's neck being crushed, he felt as if his own neck were about to snap.
While he was confident in his Stand's power against Star Platinum in a direct confrontation, Zuke's abilities had shattered that confidence entirely.
Without hesitation, Zuke's bird brutally tore Red Hot Chili Pepper apart, reducing it to golden fragments.
"Gaaaahhh!!"
The Stand let out a shrill scream before the black bird devoured it without mercy.
Although Red Hot Chili Pepper resisted fiercely, attacking with both punches and electricity, the black bird's movements remained unaffected.
Soon, the Stand was completely consumed, leaving Akira collapsed on the ground, silent and motionless.
