章節 150: This Trainee Fatui Harbinger is Too Unreliable [150]

[Seed of Rebirth: Repairs fragmented souls and reshapes the body. The restored body will not regain previous strength, limited to the power level of an ordinary human.]

[PS: Has a one-year cooldown after use.]

"Why do I keep getting these life-saving items?" Luo Qing muttered as he read the system's description of the new item.

With the system's quirky nature, anything it gave him would definitely have its use in the future.

So far, the system had handed him two golden life-saving items back to back—a revival armor and now the Seed of Rebirth.

"But only Rosalyne dies in the Inazuma storyline, right? Why so many life-saving items? Or... could it be that I'll be in danger too?"

He scratched his head in confusion.

The only real powerhouse in Inazuma was the Raiden Shogun, and thanks to the Favorability Card, she was almost molded into his ideal version of a housewife. She wouldn't dare lift a blade against him now.

In fact, if she could look at Luo Qing without blushing, it was a testament to her iron will.

"Whatever, let's just focus on collecting enough pulls first..."

Since the system gave it to him, there must be a reason. Besides, with the ongoing battle at Tatarasuna, his frustration value had been steadily rising, so reaching ninety pulls wouldn't take too long.

Opting for caution, Luo Qing decided to stay at Tatarasuna for a while longer to ensure he had enough pulls for the Seed of Rebirth before heading back to Inazuma City.

With his mind made up, Luo Qing's expression turned relaxed once more. He hummed a little tune as he continued to wait for the fish to bite.

Meanwhile...

Teresa stood by, her feelings conflicted as she watched her lord. First, he scratched his head like a fool, then he laughed to himself like an idiot, all the while muttering strange things.

Could my lord really be mentally ill...?

"Uh... Lord Luo Qing..."

After hesitating for a while, Teresa mustered up the courage to tap him on the shoulder, thinking she was doing it for his own good.

"Hm? What's up?" Luo Qing turned to look at her.

"If you're sick, my lord... you should really get treated. It's not something to delay..."

"?"

"Are you asking for a beating?"

...

Without the thunderous storms, the view at Kannazuka had become much more pleasant.

Several days had passed, and the war between the Resistance and the Shogunate army was still raging.

After a few days in the Shogunate camp, Teresa had returned to Luo Qing's side, claiming that she had successfully trained a group of Shogunate soldiers to dance without her and that her personal teaching was no longer required.

In reality, she had begged Luo Qing with tears and dramatic pleas—not to mention some not-so-subtle attempts at seduction—just so she wouldn't have to teach people how to dance in public anymore.

It was just too embarrassing.

In the end, she succeeded, and Luo Qing reassigned her to be his fishing assistant (standing by his side and offering over-the-top praise whenever he caught something).

At Tatarasuna, with Luo Qing's earlier threats hanging over them, Kujou Sara had no choice but to make the Shogunate troops bring out the Resistance captives every day for public dance-offs, taunting the enemy in the process.

As for the Resistance, after Luo Qing bailed on them, Gorou had planned to stop the whole "prisoner dancing" thing.

But once the Shogunate started showing off, the Resistance soldiers—already filled with resentment—demanded they retaliate. Gorou had no choice but to follow suit, dragging out their own captives to join the dance competition.

And so, a strange nightly ritual took place at Tatarasuna's battlefield.

By day, the two armies fought tooth and nail.

By night, they brought their captives to the beach, cranked up the gramophone, and battled over which side had better dance coordination and rhythm.

Driven by their competitive spirit, some soldiers even grabbed whips to ensure perfect synchrony. Anyone who messed up or broke the rhythm got lashed.

Some nights, the dancing was so intense, even the fish in the sea were startled to death.

It resembled elderly ladies fighting for dance space in the town square.

At this point, Luo Qing—the mastermind behind it all—didn't have to lift a finger. Every evening, he'd receive a massive influx of frustration value without doing a thing.

In less than a month, he had almost saved enough for ninety pulls.

By now, he and Teresa had visited nearly every fishing spot between Kannazuka and Yashiori Island. Since he never left empty-handed (and sometimes resorted to electrocuting the water), fishing had lost much of its charm.

With the situation at Tatarasuna more or less under control, Luo Qing decided to slip away without telling Kujou Sara and sneak back to Inazuma City, waiting for Lumine and the Resistance to launch their attack.

One day, Luo Qing was considering visiting Scaramouche's Delusion Factory to borrow a boat for his trip back to Inazuma City. Though he could have used his teleportation toilet, it would leave one toilet behind, something too valuable to entrust to anyone—especially not Teresa.

On their way through Fort Fujitou, they happened to run into some familiar faces—Lumine and Paimon, leading a squad of Resistance fighters.

"Oh, what a coincidence!" Luo Qing grinned as he eyed Lumine and her companions. "Been a while. So, you two have been promoted to officers now, huh?"

"Luo Qing! It's you again!" Paimon shouted angrily. "Gorou told me everything! You ditched us after promising to help the Resistance!"

"I had an upset stomach that day, so I took a sick day. Any issues with that?"

Luo Qing folded his arms and smiled.

"What, am I not allowed to take a sick day?"

"..."

[+1 Frustration from Paimon]

"Who would believe that?!" Paimon fumed, stomping her little feet.

"Luo Qing, what are you doing here?" Lumine asked, frowning slightly. While Yashiori Island was considered neutral territory, running into a Shogunate officer like Luo Qing here was definitely suspicious.

"Curious, huh?"

Luo Qing leaned in slightly, a mischievous glint in his eyes. Just as he had Lumine and Paimon's attention, he suddenly leaned back, laughing softly.

"Not telling you~"

"..."

[+1 Frustration from Paimon]

"Just passing through. See you around, ladies~" Luo Qing waved casually as he and Teresa strolled past them.

A few Resistance fighters made a move to stop them, but Lumine quickly signaled them to stand down.

She knew better than to provoke Luo Qing without good reason.

As Luo Qing's figure disappeared down the road, his voice rang out again.

"Oh, by the way, one more thing."

"What is it?" Lumine asked, puzzled.

Luo Qing turned back and walked up to her, pulling a small, fist-sized mud ball from his pocket.

"I noticed that your aura is a bit dark, like a sign of impending disaster. I happen to have this 'All-Healing Pill.' Take it, and any injuries will be instantly healed. It's only 100,000 Mora. What do you say? Want to buy one?"
