Jamie really wanted to say, "If you hit him, don't hit me. But he knew that was impossible."
When he saw his teammates suffering, he decided not to endure the same.
Bang!
Russell grabbed his wrist and the bullet grazed his scalp.
"You want to die?" Russell looked at Jamie, who looked ready to sacrifice himself, and immediately understood the situation.
"I didn't expect you to be a clone. I really underestimated you!" he said in surprise.
It was the first time Russell had seen such a cowardly person, and he thought he really deserved to live in the void. But it didn't matter.
Even though the clone's unique abilities couldn't be plundered, from this guy's perspective, he hadn't actually created the clone himself.
Therefore, even if he managed to steal the abilities, they'd probably just belong to an ordinary clone.
But that didn't mean that the clone in front of him was useless.
Russell looked at the dazed clone and suddenly flashed a friendly smile. "You want to die easier?"
As he spoke, his palms began to glow slightly red.
Hiss!
The sizzling aroma of burnt protein filled the air, and Jamie's clone screamed in agony, feeling an intense, burning pain!
In just two seconds, the entire right hand was charred and shattered. Five seconds later, only the forearm was left, smelling faintly of spices. After eight seconds, the elbow was charred.
After ten seconds, Russell and Jamie came to terms.
A few minutes later...
Russell killed the clone without hesitation and fell into deep thought.
He had just gathered a lot of information from Jimmy. The organization led by Cassandra had a total of forty-six mutants.
Among them were Juggernaut, Azazel, Pyro, Sabretooth, Dead Girl , Toad, Warpath, Scorpion Man, Riptide, and more.
In addition, there were a large number of powerful weapons, as well as Cassandra's collection of magical artifacts and potions.
But...
Russell was a little confused. With that kind of power, how did Wolverine and others succeed in Deadpool 3? When he'd first seen the movie, he'd thought the success was a bit over the top.
With their advanced technology, Wolverine and X-23 should have posed little threat. Blade and Elektra, though skilled, were only human and could easily be overpowered.
And the Gambit? He was much weaker here than his comic book counterpart.
As for Deadpool, his strength wasn't all that remarkable either.
Russell couldn't figure out how they'd won, and he was still unsure how to approach this organization.
Plus, Cassandra's psychic powers were incredibly powerful. Even Doctor Strange had become her prisoner with the Sling Ring, so Russell doubted he could handle her alone.
In truth, the TemPad seemed like the only way out.
With a sigh, Russell raised his hand and shot the unconscious Sean, ending his life.
The next second, a voice sounded in his head.
[ Entry Plundering complete! ]
[ Mutant Ability - Sonic Wave (Blue-Purple) ]
Abilities include:
1. Sonar: Can assess surroundings in total darkness or determine the distance of an object with precision.
2. Sonic Scream: Capable of vibrating objects within range, causing imbalance and dizziness.
3. Flight: With the help of a special wingsuit, you can hover or fly subsonic.
[ Would you like to load the entry? ]
Russell didn't hesitate and loaded it immediately. Though the sonar was of limited use and the flight required a wingsuit, with the Venom suit he wouldn't need any extra equipment to fly.
And Sonic Scream provided a powerful way to surprise enemies in close combat.
Bang! Russell casually snapped his fingers, undoing the magic web around him. If he hadn't been practicing Spider-Man's powers combined with melee combat, he could have killed the Sean in ten seconds!
Then he walked over to the still dazed young girl, Laura, crouched down and smiled. "Hey, girl."
"I saved your life. Have you thought of how to repay me?"
Laura stared at him, afraid he would disappear at any moment.
"Are you confused?" Russell teased, "Didn't I just save your life?"
He pinched her cheek, then lifted her eyelids to check her pupils.
Everything looked normal.
Just when he was feeling confused, Laura spoke slowly and clearly.
"My name is... Laura." She made sure he heard it right, afraid he might misunderstand.
Russell, taken aback, nodded and replied, "My name is Russell."
He preferred this name in the Marvel Universe, wanting to leave his former identity behind.
Laura repeated his name a few times, then looked up with determination. "I am not weak," she said firmly.
Russell was slightly embarrassed. "I know, I was just kidding," he assured her.
"By the way, where's your base? I'll take you back."
She nodded and replied plainly, "I'll be your girlfriend."
Russell nearly choked. "It was just a joke, no need to take it so seriously."
"I am serious!" she replied immediately.
Russell could feel her heart beating close to him. It felt real and he didn't know how to react.
"Laura, you're still young."
"I'm sixteen. I'm an adult!" she insisted.
"If this is just to repay a favor, don't worry about it."
"I like you," she said unwaveringly. "I can feel my heart racing."
Russell was speechless, knowing he couldn't hide his own quickening heartbeat.
There was a pause as he suddenly felt her breath close to him, and the next moment he smiled in relief.
Finally, he leaned in.
Night fell, but the darkness was no longer silent.
