章節 27: Chapter 27: The Hyūga Counterattack

(Hope you enjoy the chapter like I did 😵‍💫)

Asura was abruptly woken from his sleep by a sharp knock on his tent. He groggily opened his eyes, quickly becoming alert as he saw one of the clan members standing outside.

"The Clan Head has summoned you to the main tent," the messenger said, his tone serious.

Asura nodded, immediately gathering his things and slipping his sword into its sheath. The tension in the air was thick, and he could sense that something was amiss. Without wasting any more time, he made his way to the main tent.

When Asura entered, he felt a wave of unease. The elders and Tajima were gathered around, their faces stern, and the atmosphere was tense. The moment Tajima noticed him, he motioned for Asura to step closer. Asura approached and gave a respectful nod.

"Good morning, Clan Head. Elders," he greeted, his voice calm but respectful.

Tajima acknowledged him with a curt nod before getting straight to the point. "We interrogated the shinobi you captured," he began. "It turns out he was part of a group of mercenaries hired by the Hyūga clan. Their mission was to ambush and kidnap a member of our clan to gain information. They must have thought it would be an easy task—unlucky for them that they attacked you."

Asura's eyes narrowed as he processed this. "Did they reveal the Hyūga's location?" he asked, his tone serious.

One of the elders spoke up. "Yes, they did. We've confirmed their route, and it matches where the Hyūga clan is headed. We will be ready to intercept them and attack in about an hour."

Asura nodded, realizing everything was falling into place. They had the upper hand, and soon, the Hyūga would pay for trying to ambush them. But before he could dwell on the thought any further, a clan member burst into the tent, his face pale with urgency.

"The Hyūga have captured Izuna!" he shouted, his voice filled with panic. "And Madara has gone after them to bring him back!"

Tajima's eyes widened, and his face contorted in fury. "What?! Explain!" he demanded.

The clan member quickly continued, "A group of twelve Uchiha, including Izuna and Madara, were patrolling the perimeter when they were attacked by a group of Hyūga. During the skirmish, the Hyūga managed to capture Izuna and began retreating. Madara, realizing they were after Izuna, went after them, taking eight others with him. He ordered the remaining members to come back and report."

Tajima's fists clenched, and without a second thought, he ran out of the tent, his voice booming as he barked orders to the rest of the clan. "Prepare for battle! We move now!" He turned back to the elders, quickly giving them instructions before fixing his gaze on Asura.

"Asura," he said, his tone deadly serious. "I need you to go ahead of us. Catch up to Madara and help him retrieve Izuna. Do whatever it takes."

"Understood," Asura replied. Without another word, he activated his Lightning Armor, the electricity crackling around him. He combined it with his wind chakra and Body Flicker Technique, his Sharingan spinning to life, and in an instant, he was gone, his speed making it seem as though he was teleporting through the forest.

The world blurred around him as he moved, the strain of using multiple techniques at once beginning to take its toll. He pushed through it, focusing on the faint traces of chakra ahead of him, hoping he wasn't too late. For five long minutes, he dashed through the forest, the effort starting to burn through his reserves, but finally, he caught sight of them.

Ahead, Madara and the group of Uchiha were locked in combat with the Hyūga. The Hyūga clan members fought with precision, their Gentle Fist style disrupting the Uchiha's chakra flow whenever they landed a hit. Asura's eyes immediately zeroed in on a few Hyūga who were trying to escape, dragging an unconscious Izuna with them. The others with headbands had stayed behind, acting as a shield to cover their comrades' retreat.

Without hesitation, Asura activated his Domination technique, pouring as much chakra into it as he could manage. The air around him thickened, and the pressure became so intense that it felt as if gravity had increased tenfold. The Hyūga trying to flee were suddenly forced to the ground, crushed by the immense force, along with Izuna, who was caught in the radius.

Seeing the Hyūga pinned down, Asura dashed forward, his sword gleaming in the dim light. The Hyūga holding Izuna tried to lift his head, but Asura was already there. With a swift, decisive motion, he sliced through the man's throat, ending his life. He grabbed Izuna, carefully adjusting the pressure around him to lift the boy off the ground without hurting him further, and tossed him over to Madara.

Madara caught Izuna, relief flooding his features as he checked to make sure his brother was still breathing. But before he could say anything, Asura turned his attention back to the other Hyūga, still pinned under the crushing pressure. His Sharingan glinted as he moved toward them, and in a matter of moments, he made quick work of them, cutting down each one without hesitation. Blood soaked the forest floor, but Asura's expression remained cold and unfeeling.

With the Hyūga dispatched, Asura turned to head back, his mission completed, but a cold, mocking voice echoed through the clearing, stopping him in his tracks.

"Where do you think you're going?" the voice taunted.

Asura turned sharply, his Sharingan whirling, and he saw the Hyūga clan leader standing there, a sneer on his lips. Behind him, an army of 600 Hyūga warriors spread out, their faces hard with determination. The clan leader's Byakugan was activated, veins bulging around his eyes, and he looked at Asura with a mixture of amusement and disdain.

Asura's eyes narrowed, and his Sharingan began spinning rapidly, the tomoe swirling as he steeled himself. He could feel his chakra reserves depleting, but he wasn't going to let that stop him. "Madara, take Izuna and retreat," he said, his voice low and commanding. "Get back to the others. I'll hold them off until reinforcements arrive."

Madara hesitated, his eyes darting between Asura and the Hyūga army. "But—"

"Go!" Asura snapped, his Sharingan locking onto Madara's eyes. The intensity in his gaze was enough to silence any argument. Madara clenched his jaw, his hands tightening around Izuna. He muttered a quiet apology before turning and signaling the others to retreat.

Asura watched them go, his heart pounding as he turned back to face the overwhelming number of enemies before him. His sword was already in hand, and his three-tomoe Sharingan spun wildly, analyzing the movements of the Hyūga as they prepared to attack. But as he stared at the clan leader, something changed. His Sharingan began to shift, the tomoe merging and warping, transforming into a new shape.

The world seemed to slow as Asura's eyes evolved, unlocking a new power. The Mangekyō Sharingan burned brightly in his left eye, its intricate design marking the beginning of a new chapter in his strength.

He took a deep breath, feeling the surge of power course through him. He had to buy time, no matter what it took. With a determined glare, Asura raised his sword, preparing to face the oncoming horde of Hyūga, his newly awakened eyes blazing like fire in the dark forest.
