"I'm in," Asher finally nodded, agreeing with her. The choice felt heavy on his shoulders, but he couldn't afford to think about morals right now.

Besides, he'd be lying to himself if he said the thought of killing the one responsible for his death didn't excite him a bit.

They had killed him, and no matter how cool-headed he was, deep down, he was angry.

"You made the right choice," she said, standing up and brushing off her clothes.

He focused his attention, waiting for her next words.

But instead of talking more, she turned around and picked up something behind the sofa.

"What are you doing?" he asked. 

Instead of answering, she started pulling clothes from her pile of shopping bags and laying them out on the floor.

He watched her closely as she held up each piece. From time to time, she glanced at him, her brow furrowing in thought.
