章節 19: Damien's New Quarters
Damien had already resigned himself to the fact that everything was moving forward without him being informed. He decided to just let it go for now.
"I'm glad to hear that," Theo said, smiling. Then, still holding Damien in his arms, he started to climb the stairs with a light, almost skipping step.
Damien mentally gave up. Fine, just do whatever you want.

After reaching the second floor, Theo turned right and continued walking—though technically, it was Theo doing the walking, not Damien—until they arrived at the far end of the hallway.
This was the room that had been prepared for Damien.
The hallways were so wide and the distance so long, it felt like walking through a school building. But the space between doors was even greater than the width of classrooms.
How big are these rooms? Damien wondered.
That question was soon answered—or rather, wasn't—when Sebas opened the door to reveal the room prepared for Damien.
It was a luxurious living room, furnished with an opulent table set that could seat around ten people. The room was so spacious that it could easily accommodate two or three of the rooms from the inn where Damien's family had once stayed. It was more than enough space for living.
But as Damien looked around, he realized there was no bed in sight. Instead, there were plush-looking sofas, a low table, shelves filled with expensive-looking vases, landscape paintings, and even a fireplace. There was plenty of unnecessary decor, but no sign of where he'd sleep.
Damien briefly entertained the idea that perhaps they lived in a traditional style, where the table and furniture would be cleared away to make room for a futon at night. Of course, he knew that was unlikely.
There were three doors: one on the right and two on the left. One of them was probably the bedroom. Still carrying Damien, Theo walked toward the door on the right, and Ivan, following behind, opened it.
Beyond the door was a room just as large as the living room, featuring a luxurious canopy bed and all the furniture one would need. In addition, there were two more doors at the back of the room. This was clearly the bedroom.
Damien was speechless. His mind went blank as Theo gently laid him down on the bed, treating him as if he were a fragile object. The bed was unbelievably soft, like lying on a cloud.
I feel like I'm floating…Damien thought, trying not to completely escape into this daydream. He needed to thank Theo.
"Theo, I'm truly grateful for your hospitality. But, um, will I be staying in this room indefinitely?" Damien asked, hoping that this was only a temporary arrangement until they could find a smaller, more modest room for him.
However, Theo seemed to misunderstand Damien's question, his face clouding over with concern.
"I'm terribly sorry, Damien. This was the best room I could offer. If there's anything you find unsatisfactory, please let me know, and I'll do everything I can to make it right," Theo said, his tone apologetic.
