章節 17: Boss fight
"What was that?" Jay asked as it was different from a fireball.
"Why don't you try to stabilise the skill next time?" Astrid voice sounded from behind, "Seeing how easily you destroyed this monster, I guess you are ready for the boss" she spoke as her gaze scanned her surrounding, which was completely littered with goblin corpses.
An artificial dungeon generally holds up to 50-60 monster as mob and 1 elite monster as Boss, and this specific dungeon holds around 45 monsters, less compared to other dungeons.
Hearing her Jay nodded vigorously like a chicken picking on grain, "wait, what's the rank of the boss monster?" suddenly Jay asked, although, he became more powerful, but a boss is still a boss.
"E- Rank, same as you" Astrid replied nonchalantly, for her who is on E+ rank close to D rank, the boss was like a normal mob. "let's move to the place where boss reside" she spoke and move in a certain direction,
"How, how did you know where boss is?" Jay asked as he followed behind, "Jay, this is an artificial dungeon, it's map is available on internet" she replied.

After few minutes,
Jay and Astrid arrived before a burrow, "This is the place where boss resides?" Jay asked looked at Astrid confusedly, this burrow was massive, if not because it was grassland, Jay had certainly said it was cave that's how massive it was.
"Right, you don't have your memories" She said nodding to herself, "Let's call the boss for introduction" she said, inhaling she suddenly roared,

Suddenly a big hand came out of burrow, then Jay saw the boss.
A grotesque looking towering goblin was standing before Jay, it was a greenish yellow goblin, it was fat, skin lose a bit, there were spores all over it, wearing, a make shift cloth covering its lower body,
It had a crude club, which was dragged on floor
"Isn't this too big for a goblin?" Jay said with wry smile, now he knows why the burrow had such a big entrance.
It was 12foot tall, with a 3-meter club, Jay would be lucky to not get bashed by the club.
(Sweewo~~) (Thud), it pulled the club from the back and put in on the shoulder, then it glares at the people disturbed it.
It first looked at Astrid, worry evident in its eyes, then it's gaze landed on Jay and a furious expression appeared on its ugly face.
Looking the goblin, who was glaring at Jay, his mouths twitch, 'it really knowns how to pick it's opponent' Jay thought as he takes a battle stance. "If you need help, just say my name" Astrid said before, stepping back, she knew is she stayed with Jay, the goblin boss with not attack Jay, so she simply stepped back.
Now only Jay and goblin boss was here with a 50-meter distance, they both at each other before the boss roared and charged at Jay.
Jay stood there raising his hand toward the boss, and a small fireball sized a marble formed in his hand he didn't make it bigger instead and start creating more fireball of same size as before, 2 then 5 then 20 fireball were in his hand now,
The fireball looked combined but a small mana sheet separating them from each other.
Jay nodded at his creation and looked at the boss who swings his club in order to hit Jay,
Jay didn't wait and threw the fireballs at goblin, released from his hand fireballs spread like shotgun shots, feeling threat from the attack, the boss stopped it's attack midway and tried to block the fireballs from hitting its venerable parts, but it was too late as the shot drummed its head, chest, shoulders, abdomen and other parts, some do miss the target but most balls hit.
The fireball creates mini explosions, creating smoke hindering its vision, Jay didn't miss this chance and leaped to the goblin, thinking that he will kick the goblin's head,
The goblin who got his vision hindered, start swinging its hand around in order to not give a chance to Jay,
Fortunately for it and unfortunately for Jay, its hand strike Jay
(Bam) (thud)
Jay flew away like a rag doll, rolling on the ground, he winced in pain, "Ahh" "it felt like I got hit by a car" he complained, if not for the increase in defence after the advancement, Jay could have died there.
"You will pay for this" he stated as he focused, again fire ball size of marble created in his hand, but this time he created in his both hand, in right hand he created only one big fireball, and in other hand he created many marble sized fireball,
"Let's test my second skill" he spokes as he continued to supply mana into his right hand, diameter of 7 cm, then 10 cm, 25 cm and finally 50 cm.
A massive fireball was created, he didn't even stabilise it and threw it at the goblin, who was rushing at him with a furious expression, it didn't like hit by mini fireballs,
"Eat this you ugly thing" Jay shouted as he threw the massive ball at the goblin, this time goblin boss used its hands as a shield thinking this can save it,
Jay snorted "useless"
The fireball smashed in goblin boss's arms and busted apart, a sea of fire engulfs whole body of the goblin,
(Roar) it roared in pain and anger, but Jay didn't care, focusing on his left hand, he starts supplying mana into the twenty or something marble sized fireball, but he didn't increase its size, he supplied mana and compressed it to his best ability,
But as he was only learnt this skill this morning, so no matter how high his affinity is he can't control all the marble fireballs, after stabilising two balls his start feeling weak, nauseas and drained of energy.
"What's going on?" he spoke but threw all the marble balls toward the goblin,
"Ugh" he vomited,
The raging fire started to dried down but before it can vanish more fireballs joined in increasing the intensity of fire,
When the two compressed fireballs hit it, (Booomm!!) they made a loud explosion killing the goblin boss, even after death its body continued to burn.
