Blade and his adoptive father, Jamal Afari, lived in an abandoned repair shop. Jamal Afari was elderly and could no longer fight; he could only craft various weapons for Blade to slay vampires. From a young age, Jamal Afari had taught Blade that when dealing with beasts like vampires, there could be no mercy, and they had to be ruthlessly killed. Blade had never disappointed him; he had always been merciless in his hunt for vampires.
However, last night, this cold-hearted warrior had brought back an incredibly alluring woman. Her name was Karen Jenson, and she was a young black woman, a medical doctor with delicate skin, regarded as an exceptionally sexy beauty by others of her race.
Jamal Afari, however, could not comprehend such things. He felt a deep-seated disgust towards Karen because she had already been bitten by a vampire and would soon turn into one herself. He ordered Blade to dispose of her, but Blade refused. He wanted to save her.
"Alright, it seems that men always need women. But if this woman turns into a vampire, I wonder if you'll still be interested?" Jamal Afari quipped helplessly. He injected Karen with a syringe filled with garlic extract, stating coldly, "Woman, I'm giving you garlic extract, which can alleviate the vampire virus. Whether you can survive it or not depends on you."
Garlic extract could combat vampires; all women infected with the vampire virus would endure pain for an entire night, only beginning to feel slightly better the next day. Jamal Afari glared at the woman, "You've been infected with the vampire virus. Garlic extract can only relieve the virus in your body; three days from now, you'll turn into a vampire. You'd better get a gun to shoot yourself in the head when that time comes. That would be a very good method; trust me, being a vampire is not a pleasant experience!"
Karen's face went pale with fear as she quickly distanced herself from the old man.
Blade said, "Don't mind this old man. He has a seriously twisted hatred for vampires!" Suddenly, he perked up and remarked, "Hmm? That guy is coming!"
"Who's coming?" Karen asked curiously.
"A person who likes to fly in the sky."
"Whoosh!"
Suddenly, a loud whooshing sound echoed through the air, and a dark figure swooped through the sky, gracefully flying into the repair shop like a swallow.
"My goodness, this person can actually fly?" Karen exclaimed in shock as she stared at the newcomer.
Jamal Afari also put down his weapon and quickly pulled out a long gun, keeping a vigilant eye on the person.
"Don't be nervous, Old man; he's my friend, a scientific doctor!" Blade smiled slightly.
"Hello! Are there others here?" Ye Hai descended, beaming at the three.
