章節 4: Decisions

The morning was slowly unfolding in the De Santa household. Vincent found himself in his room, reviewing the plan he had sketched out for his next heist. His mind was filled with strategies and possible complications, but there was something he couldn't ignore: the growing pressure of his double life. Just as he was about to concentrate, he heard the sound of his sister, Tracey, in the living room.

"Vincent! You have to see this!" Tracey shouted, her voice filled with excitement.

Vincent stepped out of his room and found her glued to a live broadcast of a charity event on television. A group of celebrities was gathering for a gala, and Tracey was captivated, as if her world depended on it.

"Why do you care so much?" Vincent asked, raising an eyebrow. "It's just another rich people's party."

"It's not just that!" Tracey replied, turning to look at him. "Look at all of them. They're so glamorous! I want to be there, to be a part of that. Imagine how incredible it would be to be in the spotlight, to have everyone talking about me."

"And what about being a De Santa? It doesn't seem to matter to you," Vincent said, feeling frustrated. His sister's superficiality had always been a point of contention between them.

"And what about being a De Santa? I don't want to be like you guys," Tracey shot back, crossing her arms. "I want to be famous and have an exciting life. I don't have time for mediocrity."

Vincent watched her, recalling how rebellious Tracey had always been. Although she had her own vision of life, he couldn't shake the feeling that she was drifting away from the family. "Do you realize that kind of life can be dangerous?" Vincent said, trying to warn her.

"Like yours?" Tracey replied with a sarcastic smile. "Always with your secret plans and your friends. Don't talk to me about danger, brother. All you do is dream big and then stay in the same place."

Vincent felt a pang in his chest. She was right in some ways; he had been stagnating in his own ambition. But his world was different. He had a path he didn't want to drag his family into, especially Tracey. "Look, just be careful what you wish for. Sometimes, what seems perfect can come at a high price."

Before Tracey could respond, her phone buzzed. It was a message from one of her contacts in the criminal world. Vincent read it quickly, feeling the adrenaline spike. It was a golden opportunity, but also a considerable risk.

"Everything okay?" Tracey asked, noticing her brother's expression.

"Yeah, all good," Vincent lied, feeling his mind split between his desires and family responsibilities.

After a while of talking and more discussions about the gala and fame, Tracey left, leaving Vincent alone in the living room. He looked out the window, watching life continue outside. "What should I do?" he wondered to himself.

Eventually, he decided he needed to gather his team. He had a plan that couldn't wait any longer, and the opportunity to secure his place in the criminal world was within reach. If everything went well, he could prove he was more than just Michael De Santa's son.

When afternoon arrived, Vincent met with some of his contacts in an old warehouse. The tension in the air was palpable. His team members waited anxiously, their eyes filled with anticipation.

"Guys, today we have a great opportunity," Vincent began, feeling the adrenaline propel him. "I've gotten information about a truck transporting a valuable shipment. This could be our biggest heist yet."

The looks of his companions lit up with interest, but also with nervousness. "Are you sure about this?" one of them asked, a spark of doubt in his eyes. "This sounds risky."

"I know, but if we want to make a name for ourselves, we need to take risks. This is our chance to show that we're not just any gang," Vincent said, trying to instill confidence.

"What's the plan?" another member asked, visibly more excited.

Vincent explained his strategy, every detail carefully considered. As he spoke, he could feel the excitement grow in the air. He knew they were on the brink of something big, something that would change their future.

He took a moment to introduce his team, emphasizing their skills and roles:

Liam – Right-Hand Man: A former street hustler with sharp instincts, Liam was always the voice of reason in the group. His charisma helped smooth out tensions, and Vincent relied heavily on his negotiation skills.

Maya – Master of Infiltration: With her background in parkour, Maya was essential for reconnaissance. She gather crucial information without drawing attention.

Jared – Muscle: A former boxer, Jared was the enforcer of the group. His imposing presence was enough to intimidate anyone who dared cross their path, but he also had a soft side that he showed to his teammates.

Nina – Tech Specialist: The group's brain, Nina had an impressive talent for hacking. She handled all tech-related tasks, ensuring that their operations were secure and efficient.

As they prepared for the heist, Vincent couldn't help but wonder how he would handle the reality of his criminal life alongside his family. The line between both worlds was becoming increasingly blurred, and soon he would have to face the consequences of his decisions.
