Alex couldn't shake the suspicions gnawing at his heart that Logan knew something about what happened to Joanna but lacked proof. How else could he make such a daring proposal?

If only Alex knew exactly what Logan did with his phone a while ago, or who he communicated with, he might have been able to piece things together.

Perhaps the delivery guy held the answers he sought, but for now, he had to keep his composure. With all eyes on him, his expression remained stern, and his words resolute.

"She's not at the office but already on her way here. She will soon join us, so let's proceed," Alex declared confidently, in case the elders tried to get information about Joanna's whereabouts from the office.

Logan was torn, wondering if taking Mia's words into action was the right thing to do. Joanna was indeed not in the office, so could it be true that she was on her way? Alex seemed sure of the situation.
