章節 53: Chapter 53 (edited)

Kara, she spent three years traveling all over the world, of which it only took one year to visit famous teachers from various places recommended by Bruce.

Like Bruce, she can be said to have mastered all the fighting skills and kung fu of all genres in the world.

And Bruce didn't know that Kara was hiding a bigger secret. She was a Kryptonian, or a Kryptonian who had lived on Earth for twenty-eight years. She had soaked in the golden light of the sun for such a long time, and her strength was unmatched by anyone. Guess how powerful she was.

This also allowed her to fly with her legs and take down an opponent in an instant.

The League of Shadows fighters were formidable, but they were no match for Kara.

Kara kicked one assailant in an instant, and before the first kick had fully landed, her second kick sent another flying.

Her moves were smooth and fluid, elegant yet lethal.

The others were dumbfounded—they didn't even have time to react.

Kara turned to look at the remaining fighters, deliberately lowering her voice with a voice changer as she roared, "Tonight, the hunt begins."

At that moment, she was the predator, and the shadow fighters—who had once brought fear and destruction to countless people—had become her prey.

The League of Shadows warriors exchanged glances. Fear flickered in their eyes, an emotion they rarely showed. Yet, they stood firm, their training not allowing them to retreat.

Even as Kara walked toward them.

One second she was at a distance, and the next, she was a blur, appearing in front of one of them.

Without even sparing him a direct glance, she used Wing Chun.

Wing Chun's key traits—versatile moves, flexibility, close-range combat, and its famous "inch strength"—were her weapons of choice. Her fists were a blur, delivering devastating power from the shortest distance.

When her palm struck her opponent's chest, it instantly shattered his heart.

Kara swiftly moved to the next.

Without anyone to protect or worry about, she could fight at full strength. Bruce had already jumped onto the train, speeding away.

With the remaining fighters either incapacitated by fear gas or eliminated, Kara let loose.

This was terrifying. At her full speed, even the highly trained League members couldn't follow her movements.

Using every skill she'd mastered, Kara moved through the crowd. No one could stop her.

When one fell, she was already dealing with the next.

Eventually, she abandoned complex techniques in favor of raw, devastating power. Rushing at terrifying speed, she struck each opponent with single, powerful blows.

One by one, all of Ra's men fell.

When Kara reached the last, he finally succumbed to the pressure and shouted, "Who are you? Your strength—it's inhuman! Your speed—what are you?"

He wasn't wrong. Kara's strength was indeed at a superhuman level, but it didn't matter to him.

"Tonight, all of you die," Kara declared. Her terrifying aura, combined with the low, hoarse voice from the voice changer, shook the shadow warrior's resolve.

Yet, he straightened, declaring, "Ra's al Ghul is immortal!"

Kara sneered. "There's no such thing as immortality. Even the greatest civilizations fall. What do mere mortals know of the vastness of the universe? Have you heard of Apokolips? The Source Wall? The infinite multiverse? High-dimensional beings? The origins of the cosmos? Or the oldest gods—like the Monitor, the Anti-Monitor, and the Over-Monitor? Ignorance doesn't grant immortality. Even the universe itself will end. What hope does a mortal life have?"

The man stared at her in shock. It was the first time he'd heard such things.

But he didn't have the chance to hear more. Kara crushed his neck with a swift motion, the snap echoing in the silence.

"Even a planet as advanced as Krypton perished. No one lives forever unless they transcend all things," Kara said, her eyes narrowing with unshakable conviction.

She wasn't worried about being overheard. There were no living souls left nearby. The Batman armor she wore had been thoroughly checked—no bugs, no trackers.

Kara's technological expertise was unparalleled. She had spent four years in college, studying relentlessly. If she wished, she could obtain every advanced degree in the world.

But she didn't care for accolades. Her studies were solely to prepare herself for any unforeseen crisis.

For example, in Gotham City's current predicament, if not for Bruce's strategy, she would've found her own way to eliminate Ra's and his followers.

Even the microwave emitter—a core piece of the League's plan—had flaws that she had noticed immediately.

By all logic, humans should've been vaporized first, especially Ra's and his men.

Yet the emitter worked inconsistently, a flaw Kara had critiqued repeatedly.

However, her insights served no purpose here.

With her high level of knowledge, Kara was confident in her ability to counter any trick Bruce might pull with the suit. This freedom allowed her to focus entirely on the task at hand.

Discarding the last enemy's body, Kara paused, picking up a long blade from one of the fallen fighters.

Her mastery extended beyond martial arts to weapons. Swords, spears, halberds—she had studied them all, both ancient Eastern and modern Western styles.

With the long blade in hand, Kara turned toward the train. Her super vision pierced through the fog, allowing her to see the speeding train and the battle within.

Bruce was locked in combat with Ra's and several of his men. Despite his skill, Bruce was being overwhelmed—he lacked Kara's Kryptonian strength.

Kara flicked the blade, murmuring, "Life and death form an endless cycle. We live; they die."

With that, she leaped into the air, flying at breakneck speed toward the train.
