Eryx didn't explain anything to me, demanding that I eat, bathe, and dress first. I'd slept throughout the remaining day and night, and now it was early morning. Alaric had come to check on me, and once he saw I was snuggled in bed with the Alpha Prince, he left claw marks in his wake. I was asleep the entire time, so I knew they didn't fight.

When I asked if there was any problems with my brother, Eryx shrugged it off. By this point Kharis was off duty and returned to the Guest Pavillion. One of Alaric's servants helped dress me and put my hair in a pretty braided bun but as soon as she left, I started freeing my hair, sighing in relief when the pins were taken out.

"If you didn't want your hair done why did you waste such precious time you could have been interrogating me?" Eryx asked whilst sipping on khave and gesturing the cup opposite his on the table between the sofas.
