My eyes fluttered open as I tried adjusting to the stream of light hitting my face.

I seemed to be lying on a bed and my vision was blurry. But I could make out the voices of a few people.

"She'll be fine."

Brittany?

I sat up, and my vision finally focused as I scanned my gaze around the room.

It wasn't my room but a room within the mansion.

My gaze landed on Brittany who stood beside me with a slight smile on her face.

"Thank the moon you're awake." She whispered, holding my shoulder tightly. "And just in time for dinner too."

It was then that I remembered what happened.

Those maids... They attacked me.

I admit I acted rashly when I held one of them by the wrist, but they had no business shoving me around or insulting me to my face.

That's when things escalated.

My eyes creased when I remembered that Brittany was also there but didn't do anything to stop those girls or stop me.
