The atmosphere was tense as Nicholas asked coldly, "Did you find where Doctor Fisher is?"

Since that incident of Thomas' surgery, Mathew Fisher had resigned from the city hospital and left the city without a trace. Nicholas had been looking for him to interrogate him to see if he was involved with Lydia, but there had been no success until now.

Alex swallowed hard, shaking his head. "We are still searching for him. But we have uncovered something significant." He stepped closer, pulling out his phone and sliding it across the desk toward Nicholas.

"I went to find him in his hometown and found this photo," he added.

Nicholas's brows furrowed slightly as he picked up the device. The screen displayed a grainy graduation photo. In it, a younger Lydia stood in the center, her radiant smile drawing attention. Next to her, among the group, was a familiar face—Mathew Fisher.

"I see," he mumbled.
