"It seems your daughter is a carrier of problems," Dylan snorted scornfully. "How could things be okay when she is around?"
Erica's temper flared immediately at his insult. "What do you mean?"
Lydia, however, was unphased by Dylan's harsh tone. She raised a hand, silencing Erica before turning her full attention to Dylan. "What did she do this time?" she asked with a grave tone, but her expression held a note of concern.
"Last night, I was at a bar, drinking. She appeared and said she would take me home." Dylan's finger pointed straight at Erica as he launched into his accusation. "But instead, she dropped me at a hotel, where a woman was waiting for me trying to seduce me. And when I escaped, a guy attacked me and almost killed me."
"What?" Dylan's words seemed to hit Lydia with the force of a freight train. Her face immediately darkened, her gaze turning to Erica, the shock and disbelief evident in her eyes.
