Ava's eyes stayed fixed on Dylan as he carried her into his office, her mind racing with questions and confusion. She had imagined he would yell at her and accuse her out of jealousy. Yet none of that had come.

Dylan hadn't even asked for an explanation.

Ava couldn't process how he could be so calm. 'Is this just an act? Or has he truly changed?' she wondered in her mind, the uncertainty gnawing at her.

So lost in her musings, Ava didn't notice when Dylan stepped into the office until the soft cushion of the sofa embraced her.

"Justin," Dylan called out, not breaking eye contact with Ava. He knelt in front of Ava, gently holding her hands. "Bring fresh clothes for her."

"Right away, sir," Justin replied crisply.
