Ava's heart raced as she made her way down the corridor. The news about Lilianna made her guilty. She had barely managed to hold herself together, blaming her own outburst for Lilianna's condition.

'This is my fault. I shouldn't have lost control,' she thought. The idea that Lilianna's baby might be in danger twisted her stomach with dread.

When she reached the waiting area, she spotted Dylan sitting with Justin, their faces serious and voices low. The tension in their postures only deepened her fear. She feared that something bad had happened to Lilianna's baby. Her legs wobbled slightly, but she forced herself forward.

Dylan was the first one to notice her approaching. His gaze flicked toward her briefly before he leaned closer to Justin. "Go back," he murmured urgently. "Don't let Ava know about any of this."
