"But now I know that being afraid doesn't make bullies stop. It makes them stronger. Fear won't protect you, and the pain you fear is never worse than the pain you've already endured."

Eclipse looked directly at the head of the medical department. "You've never taught me, never helped me. I paid to be here, and you're just a school employee. We are in an equal relationship."

"But you demand respect and think you deserve it without earning it. You use moral blackmail. Isn't that ridiculous?"

The head of the department's face turned bright red, but he had nothing to say.

"You're not just a teacher to me," Eclipse continued. "You're my enemy." She let the torn report fall like snowflakes, smiling. "And I'm someone who never forgets a grudge. When I get my revenge, you'll deserve every bit of it."
