"Maybe we should ask the guild master if he knows where to find a Dragon-Slaying Crystal."

After watching the match between Erza and Natsu, George felt a pang of inspiration. Although Natsu ultimately lost, the way his Dragon-Slaying magic enhanced his physical abilities was truly captivating.

Erza's strength was her own, further bolstered by her magical armor. Natsu, on the other hand, drew his strength from the powerful, unique enhancements of Dragon-Slaying magic—a level of force that far surpasses ordinary magic.

What's more, George noticed that even Erza's Flame Empress Armor didn't seem to suppress Natsu's dragon flames all that well. Normally, any fire magic would be halved in power under its influence, yet Natsu's Dragon-Slaying flames still maintained about eighty percent of their strength.

Since there's no magical armor or weaponry in other worlds, George found himself more inclined toward learning Dragon-Slaying magic.

Especially considering that Dragon-Slaying magic allows the user to consume matching elemental energy to boost their own power, he imagined that, should he ever encounter a nuclear attack in the future, he might be able to absorb the energy from the blast and redirect it.

"Restore to its former state!"

Casting a Repair Charm to fix the damaged streets, George returned to the guild with everyone.

Three days later, in the guild hall, George took the opportunity during lunch to ask Master Makarov:

"Master, I've heard that your grandson Laxus became a Dragon Slayer by implanting a Dragon Crystal?"

"Are you interested in Dragon Crystals?"

Makarov's face showed a hint of surprise.

George didn't hide it; he nodded and replied, "I am indeed interested. If I could get my hands on a Dragon Crystal, I'd like to become a Dragon Slayer as well."

"Huh, does that mean you'd turn into a dragon cat, meow?" chimed in Happy from across the hall, unable to resist a bit of teasing.

Happy certainly loved a good joke, almost more than Lucy did.

George was momentarily taken aback, then laughed and replied, "You could put it that way."

"Dragon Crystals, crafted from the hearts of dragons, are incredibly rare treasures," Makarov explained. "Years ago, Ivan learned about Serena's existence from me, and in his pursuit to strengthen Laxus, he searched all over Ishgar but couldn't find a Dragon Crystal.

"In the end, he only managed to obtain a Thunder Dragon Crystal from a mage who hailed from the continent of Giltena. So, I'd advise you not to get your hopes up too high."

Finishing his drink, Makarov shook his head with a sigh.

Dragons had long since become creatures of legend; they were already exceptionally rare, let alone finding and defeating one to use its heart to create a Dragon-Slaying Crystal.

"A mage from the Giltena continent…"

George tried to recall the geographical details of this world from a magic book he'd once read.

This world, known as Earthland, consists of four known continents: the East, West, South, and North.

The eastern continent of Ishgar has over five hundred wizard guilds and multiple kingdoms, with Fiore being just one of them.

On the western continent, Alakitasia, there's supposedly a unified empire, though it shares no interaction with the East. Diplomatic relations are virtually nonexistent, with no exchange of news, letters, or books.

Still, some western immigrants occasionally come to Ishgar seeking work opportunities. Two of their own guild members, Bisca and Alzack, originally came from the West.

The South is largely unknown; there's only an assumption that a continent lies in that direction, though no mage has ever confirmed it—perhaps it doesn't exist at all.

As for the northern continent, Giltena, it seems to be tied to the mysterious "Hundred Year Quest," but the books hold few specific details about it.

"Who is Serena?" George asked, steering the conversation away from Ivan's acquisition of the Dragon Crystal.

George knew from Mira that Ivan, Makarov's son, had been expelled from the guild for reasons unknown to him, which led to a longstanding tension between Laxus and his grandfather, Makarov. Mentioning Ivan now would likely bring up bitter memories for the guild master.

He already had some clues about the Dragon Crystals, so he could seek out Ivan for details when he was stronger, or perhaps he'd explore the northern continent himself to find more leads.

"Serena, also known as God Serena, is a mage who once stood at the pinnacle of the Ten Wizard Saints and led the 'Four Emperors of Ishgar.' He fused eight Dragon Crystals into his body, allowing him to wield eight types of Dragon-Slaying magic," Makarov replied with a hint of awe. "But he vanished years ago, and no one has heard anything about him since."

George's eyes widened in surprise. "Eight Dragon Crystals!"

He hadn't expected that not only could someone fuse multiple Dragon Crystals, but also as many as eight! His interest in Dragon Crystals grew stronger.

If eight could be fused, did that mean he could fuse even more—maybe eighteen? If he could collect Dragon Crystals of all attributes and fuse them, wouldn't he be able to wield Dragon-Slaying magic in every elemental form? Every type of magic he'd cast could be Dragon-Slaying magic, and he could devour all kinds of elemental magic. The thought was exciting.

"Why am I so sleepy..."

Just as George was fantasizing about obtaining more Dragon Crystals, he suddenly felt an overwhelming wave of drowsiness. Almost reflexively, his mental defenses kicked in, shaking off the unnatural fatigue. But as he glanced around, he saw that every wizard in the guild had collapsed, even the S-Class wizard Erza.

"Sleep magic? Could this mean there's an intruder?"

George instantly spread his wings, gripped his premium wand, and aimed it at Erza.

"Lift the curse."

Makarov was the guild's strongest member, and George could see that he was still conscious, having resisted the sleep spell. His next priority was Erza, who ranked just below the guild master. Once she was awake, he could work on Natsu, Gray, and the others.

But Makarov stopped him, saying, "George, calm down—it's not an enemy. It's Mystogan. He prefers not to interact with others, so he cast a sleep spell to put everyone under."

"Mystogan, the S-Class wizard," George thought, his heart pounding.

He'd heard guild members gossip that Erza was widely regarded as the strongest female wizard in Fairy Tail, while opinions differed on the strongest male wizard. Some thought it was Laxus, others Mystogan—both were S-Class wizards.

Then there was Gildarts Clive, another S-Class wizard, officially considered the strongest in Fairy Tail. He was rumored to have taken on the infamous Hundred Year Quest and hadn't returned in years.

For that reason, people rarely included him in the "strongest male wizard" debate.

Natsu and Gray had also made significant progress in recent years, to the point where some in the guild felt they could just about enter the running too.
