Max's POV:

No, this can't be true. Ella isn't that kind of girl. She couldn't have... not her. 

The little time I spent with her, she didn't seem like that at all. She was tough, sure. Mysterious, maybe. But sleeping around to get into school? That doesn't fit the girl I talked to, the one who barely gave me the time of day but still had this... something about her. 

She was different. Or was I just seeing what I wanted to see?

I mean, could she have been pretending the whole time? Just playing me along, acting like she wasn't interested in all the crap people say about her now? No. There's no way. She had this fire, this honesty. I know girls who throw themselves at rich guys or do whatever it takes to climb up the ladder, and she was nothing like that. 

But now... all these rumors. And the flyers. It's everywhere. How the hell did it blow up this fast?
