"Is that even something that should be asked?"
Sidney sneered as he looked at the options presented by his system. "My name is Sidney Oak, and I'm already handsome and wealthy; I don't need any more. Regardless of how you look at it, the first option is the right one for me."
He had a brother named Gary, but the most important one was Blue. What mattered most to him? Naturally, it was to be a powerful trainer.
Communication was key.
He quickly made his decision, without any hesitation.

Sidney wasted no time in looking through his details.
His previous information had suddenly changed.
There were a few new lines to describe him.

Sidney smiled as he understood his system and felt the new changes in his mind. He could feel them right away.
This world was an AU where the plot he knew didn't matter, but he didn't want to get GG as soon as he accidentally met a legendary. Communication and immediate understanding were critical.
Yes. Sidney had been suddenly transmigrated in a way he did not understand. Moments ago, he was still sleeping in his bed, dreaming of a beautiful life.

"What are you babbling about, Sidney? We'll pick our starters tomorrow, and I need to sleep." Gary took a sudden look at his brother. He had just turned off the lights and was trying to sleep.

"What're you talking about?" Gary's eyebrows moved in confusion.

Gary said, "I'm still torn between Elekid and Pikachu. There's also Alolan Geodude. I really want an electric type as my starter."

There were even starters like Mankey in this world who could evolve into Annihilape after Primeape.
This world was unique, and it affected evolution as well. Strength and experience, as with any other Pokemon, were required for evolutions, whether final or not. Items and skills were irrelevant to evolutions.
Rich people found other ways to profit from their large fortunes.
"What about you?" Gary asked. "You never told me."
Sidney said, acting slightly different from his previous counterpart, "We can choose from almost each type of pokemon tomorrow; I really don't know, but I have an idea."
"What idea?" Gary looked curious.
He did not want to lose to his brother. Blue was a huge pressure.
"Hehe." Sidney laughed. "Why would I tell you? Didn't you say you didn't want to travel with me when we leave? I have nothing to do with you."
Sidney saw Gary's expression and said, "Don't look at me like this; I'll tell you if you change your mind. If you want to be smart, I'll probably wait until later to pick my starter. You won't know until you ask Grandpa later."
Gary said, hesitantly, "Actually, I don't mind traveling with you a bit... I've been thinking about it today, but I didn't know how to tell you."
"Really? Why have you suddenly changed your mind?" Sidney appeared surprised.
"Because we're family… We'll be able to get there much faster if we travel together." Gary acted more maturely than he had throughout the year. "Don't you want to have a better shot against Blue?"
"Blue? I don't mind traveling with you, but what's Blue got to do with us? We're just starting out as trainers. He's already challenged the league twice." Sidney stated.
Obtaining any badge in this world was difficult. Gym trainers did not play nanny with new trainers. They went all-out.
What was the point of hiring an actor as a gym leader? In this world, the Pokemon League was not a comedy troupe.
Each badge earned by a trainer was valued as a symbol of strength and status.
Some tournaments allowed only those with a certain number of badges to participate.
"When is the last time you checked social media?" Gary gave his brother a funny look. "Check it before telling me that again."
He didn't waste time talking while Sidney turned on the light.
He placed his head back on the pillow.
Sidney grabbed his phone and ran a quick search on the search engine.
When he found the person he was looking for, he hummed quietly, realizing what Gary had meant.
Blue was coming to Pallet Town tomorrow to put on a show. He was even cruel enough to advertise that his two brothers were beginning their journey and had greater potential than he did.
Sidney had no interest in a live event where new trainers could receive helpful and well-intentioned advice, but Gary was probably different.
He carried the weight of expectations on his shoulders and cared about what others said.
Blue's return here with his groupies and sponsors put pressure on Gary. He didn't want to be labeled as less than his brother.
Performing well tomorrow could land him a few sponsors.
Blue himself was dating the daughter of his main sponsor.
She was a pretty decent trainer.
Sidney was not interested in her; he was more interested in someone from his own generation, Green.
She was going to pick her Pokemon with them tomorrow.
Her, Ash, Gary, and Sidney grew up in this town.
Their families were close.
Leaf was her sister of the same age. Red was Ash's older brother.
Elaine, Chase, and Trace were single children with no siblings.
Sidney had planned to travel with Green and Elaine because they were close friends, but now that Gary wanted to join them, he didn't mind making this a multi-person journey.
The more, the merrier, the easier it is to gain experience and exchange ideas.
Knowing Leaf, she would most likely follow because she was competitive.
She was like Gary.
Sidney fell asleep with a smile, recalling a prompt from the system. He would have the opportunity to update another description following during the starter choice tomorrow.
