章節 22: Battles For The North

-The North. Camp of the Sixth Legion-

Due to the important work of the legions, the legions only took one day to be ready for the advance. The sixth legion was placed in a strategic position in Black Wolf Port although his lord was thinking of making a new city in what was the Don once he convinced the night guard. In exchange for top quality food and equipment they would get what was essentially the control of the gift. Some would think it was an exaggeration but according to Dareon himself he could say that just for the benefits in the form of food that could be produced there it would be quite good for the North.

Things had progressed as expected when Lord Stark sent for the military forces. Dareon had taken his horse and he and his elite guards had marched to meet the legion in what was the Black Wolf Port. To make it faster they had travelled to the Twin Cities of the Twin Wolves and from there they took one of the fastest ships. At most it took a few days to go there on horseback while it took less than a day to get to the city. From there he immediately informed himself of the reality: that they were at war.

The legion marched at their command. Thanks to the sending of the letter, the legion was perfectly informed, prepared and much more for the march. You could see the supply and equipment waggons advancing. The soldiers advanced in what was an infantry formation while the cavalry was on the sides with small advance groups. The cavalry, although inferior in number to infantry, showed its power. Their powerful black horses of Winter Nightmare showed why they would be feared by all seven kingdoms once they meet.

So here they were. They were in an extremely convenient position for combat. This was good since apparently Bolton had proven to be smart enough and was gathering all his men to launch a massive offensive with Winterfell. His thought is possibly that if he had the Stark house under his control he could be able to win the war. In the position they were, they would intercept Bolton's forces.

Some might say he was a little too brutal. In fact, it could easily be said that it would be. His orders were not to leave anyone alive. All the soldiers would be executed. Every man or woman found there who fought on the side of the Boltons had to be exterminated with extreme prejudice. Many might think that their lord was being too harsh. In fact, I had heard that some thought it was an exaggeration. He erased those doubts by reporting the consequences of the Boltons being able to do half the shit they wanted.

Thanks to their lord, the armies were not only well paid but in addition to that they had an efficient job and much more. The Winter Legions were at this time one of the best paid jobs. What is more important is that in addition to that you could balance the work in small businesses that would mean finishing your service time in the legion you would have the opportunity to work on something else.

The truth is that if he himself had to say it, his lord was intelligent in building the army. With each position being important, the salary improved, which made each soldier want to reach the rank. Of course the soldiers were below due to lack of experience while the maximum rank of one who does not pass through the officers' school would always be tied to full whose maximum salary would always be seven silver deer a month. If it weren't for his lord basically having discovered that massive gold mine in the lands of the mountain clans he was clear the army would be too expensive.

Dareon sighed. Thinking about his legion led him to look at his three captains. Each for one of the parts of the military force. The captain of the archer division was not a man but a woman. This woman could seem like something that no one would want in his army but if there was a lesson he knew is that you could count on her of all things to be able to balance things in your favour. As the captain was demonstrated by her ability to make decisions as well as her ability to give orders and know the best way to take advantage of her division. The Archer's armour was a black armour (Skrym daedric armour) that was there to inspire a fear beyond healthy.

The cavalry captain was a man of more than decent size for the North. The equivalent of the metre eighty. His armour was a heavy black and red armour. Normally, although it is true that it would be expected that heavy cavalry was the first-order force to be formed, he was a much more sensible captain preferring to use cavalry to break enemy forces. The only reason why the cavalry was not bigger was for the simple fact that they did not have so many black horses.

The final man was the infantry captain. He was possibly the guy who had it the hardest. The infantry mission was to advance through hell despite the threats. The infantry armour was gray with a black cape. Their shields were made of iron and carried two weapons. The first was a spear made of iron stick and the second was a sword called Gladius. The shield was a gray round shield that had been made of one of the best methods. Much lighter than normal but possibly harder and more resistant. As his master liked to say, the shield was to keep you alive by all means.

The three captains were looking with the said map. The good news is that the offensive formation was gathered not in what was the fortress of the Bolton house but in the River of Tears. It was good news because if it were the other way that would mean having to cross the mountains. Although he could trust his lord in case of need for a fortress assault as his lord liked to say attacking a fortress meant being willing to the loss of soldiers something he refused.

He also explained how the bastard prince had been able to enter the North of all things and in this way leave at the same time. He was not surprised that his master was full of unprecedented fury because of the situation they were in. That was a major security breach. Luckily the prince hadn't tried to use any fleet to invade. But of course if I wanted to get in and out quickly I needed to have in a nutshell little staff with him.

"As everyone can see, the battle will take place in a strategic position. Lord Bolton has refused to allow the forces to camp in what is the proximity of his fortress for fear of being seen. However, we will not only be facing Bolton's forces and his allies. There are two mercenary companies. The Sons of Blood and the Looters of the Pyramid''. The two aforementioned groups were infantry units which was good. According to their data, most of the cavalry they had was just over a hundred soldiers of courtesy cavalry, neither more nor less than what the Ryswells were.

''We have the surprise factor. Our teams are far superior. But in the matter of numbers they beat us. There are fifteen thousand men if the information we have from the explorers is true. They are a serious enough force. The good news is also that they lack a command in cohesion''. The infantry captain spoke with a calm voice without fear in any way to give his opinion. Unlike other gentlemen who felt offended when a subordinate spoke in the winter army, it had been made more than clear that the opinion of officers and non-commissioned officers was not only sought after but also completely expected.

"Those are our advantages. The Boltons continue to use more than anything else armour of a lower category. Not only heavier but also less durable. So we have the advantage of our side. If we attack them tomorrow at dawn we will have the tactical advantage of the position''. The possibility of ending this with a minimum number of casualties was the hope of all the soldiers in reality. Naturally, the commander of the legion only wanted his boys to return home with a small profit since his lord had promised a golden dragon to all those who returned (and secretly two for the death of each one).

"But even so, we are talking about two mercenary companies with a little more experience. While we will also be facing the ferocity and even the ambition of our commander enemies. I don't want to sound arrogant but we are talking about fighting a hostile force that will know that it has nothing to lose in this regard due to the situation in which they find themselves. If you stood to think about it, it was the most normal and simple thing if you stop to think about it. Load and ram. He runs over and crushes with the cavalry. And massacres from a distance with archers. But his enemies were far from incompetent.

"I agree with you, captain. Our forces will be facing a more than safe combat against enemies who are actually aware that the crime for this is death or the wall. In my opinion that Lord Stark has decided that he is leaving for the certain death of all although brutal I think it will help to deter any future dissident from such actions''. Dareon honestly believed that this was the best thing that could be done about it. It was certainly an exaggerated request but at the same time he agreed with it. However, if his lord was of all things decided on this path, it had to be for a good reason.

"My lord, I have to raise a doubt about it and that is what will be done with the…

The captains grimaced but they understood and understood better than anyone what this was. Whether they liked it or they didn't like it, the reality is that Lord Stark had put many things at stake. It had helped the North to evolve and prosper. Therefore it was normal that he wanted to see the North defended and if his enemies thought they could rise it was bad. Compassion was fine but only when someone was deserving of it and fortunately or unfortunately the members of the Bolton family and their allies were not worthy of it.

"I understand better than you can imagine the difficult task that is being imposed on you. I understand better than anyone how complicated it is to do this. So far every battle has always been against those people as mercenary companies or against the Khalassar warriors who simply only wanted to fight and nothing else. I understand that now more than ever we are fighting against people who have the blood of the first men''. It was that bad if you stop to think about it. It was like that of a thing not so pleasant. But it had to be done yes or yes. There was no choice but to do things in such a way.

"Commander. If we are allowed to ask, why has Roose Bolton dared to do such a thing? We know that he has allied himself with the prince of the seven kingdoms and has kidnapped Lyanna Stark. But it's so meaningless. He should have known that he would most likely have the power of the other northerners on top of him. It doesn't make sense.'' The archery captain didn't seem to understand, understand or even know what exactly was happening. She didn't understand why the hell was going on if she was sincere. However, at the same time he wanted to know why one of them would go so against his lord of all things.

"It's complicated. But I guess the best way to say it is that I suppose he has been threatened. For years, the Boltons have wanted to take the position of lord of the north. They have desired it and despise the Stark house for it. The possibility of seeing their dream achieved at the expense of a Stark is too tempting for them in reality.'' It was a stupid reason if he had to say it. It was the reason without more sense of all if he himself had to say it. However, it was also to be expected from the Bolton house if you had to say it. Why wouldn't they be interested in such a thing? Why wouldn't they want above all to do such a thing for their benefit?

"Do they risk a war with annihilation in mind just because they think they have a chance of winning an opportunity on the crown side for the position of lords of the North? Forgive me commander but with nobles like these I see the North seriously failing''. The cavalry captain already had a very bad opinion of the nobles thinking that most of them were overrated idiots. However, then there were the nobles like hariric Stark. People who used their position to improve things. Although some would say that Stark was only benefitting, he did not believe the same seeing that it was not a single gentleman but the whole North (who did not want to stab him in the back) who were benefitting.

"Of course they would. It's power. Roose Bolton has seen her position diminished. With each passing day the power of the house of the red kings fades more and more. Some would say that this is an exaggeration but it is not. In the North, the Stark house rules almost absolutely. And Roose Bolton thought she had found the perfect ally for him in this case''. That's how things worked. Bolton wanted an ally. He didn't mind selling the lords of the North at the highest bidder. He didn't mind fucking them all. He only cared about himself. It was one of the reasons why Hariric wanted to be the most exemplary in this regard.

''So that's all commander. If you allow us, we would like to meet with the non-commissioned officers to be able to make sure that things are ready. The army must be as ready as it is. With your due permission we would like to have your permission to leave sir''. The infantry captain thought it was the best. Now things were clear. Roose Bolton is not just a traitor to the North for rebelling against the feudal lord supporting the things that were essentially the help of southern enemies. No. He was a traitor because he wanted to destroy the prosperity of the northerners because of his sense of selfishness.

"You don't need permission. We will attack at dawn. We will be putting in their place in every possible way those who think they can trample on us and become lords of all. It is time for the North to be freed from the presence of those who only hurt the people of the North.'' With a single gesture Dareon fired them. Possibly some would say that it was negative on his part but Dareon felt that it was the best thing he could do at that moment. If he also had to be honest, he preferred this the way he did things. The captains nodded according to him and left without thinking twice.

Dareon sighed. If I had to be honest, the idea of a war was not good. It would weaken the North. Of course some idiots would think that punching the chest and shouting I'm strong was fine. It was a trait that he did not enjoy as much as his master. Don't be wrong, they knew that physical power was necessary. And that if they weren't the best in any way they could say they were strong enough. But in reality, screaming at the rest of the kingdoms of these things was the worst possible news.

His thoughts turned to Tykren. He had been badly wounded by the red priests. Twenty of them were needed, it's true. But it had still been overcome in the end. Tykren's magic had kept him alive enough for Lord Umber to take him to medical care and heal. Curing him had been a hard test because he had been poisoned with magic. However, his master knew what was being done because there were many medicines that could be called magic and had saved Tykren's life, which was excellent news. He didn't want to imagine his lord's anger if Tykren died. Not as high as the anger he felt when he hunted his sister but it would be strong.

Dareon looked at the maps calmly at that point knowing that they would not return anything but he knew the truth. His army was marching to a battle in which the enemies had five thousand more men than him. He was not discouraged by it but as he had already mentioned they would fight as if his life depended on it because that is what it meant. The Boltons faced annihilation above all things. It didn't matter how it could be seen, nor did it matter how much it was thought at the end of the day, the only thing that mattered was that the Boltons were about to be annihilated. He felt a movement in the store and turned to see one of the valkyries.

"Your orders are that while I face the main force I want you to put your hands on Bolon and his allies. I didn't even want him to register in them. You and your associates must above all put your hands on them and go out. That's the fundamental thing.'' The Valkyries were an important part of the Northern army formed by a group of women trained in many ways in the same camps as the war wolves except that the Valkyries were all women and served mainly Mrs. Ashara Dayne. That they were here was only because she wanted them personally.

"Those are your orders. Catch Bolton and take him before his presence. Before her husband returns, she wants to show him the mistake of his ways. He wants him to know the big mistake it was just to think that he could jeopardise the lives of his sons commander''. The Valkyrie spoke in a funny voice. She, like her sisters, had been in the presence of her lady when she was furious. Needless to say, only an idiot would get in his way.

"Does the lady think there will be a magical presence? That's the only thing that would explain your participation. I know better than anyone the opinion you have of getting into matters like this and you only obey your lady of all things''. The Valkyries were women who despised what the conflict was. They were sent just to be a blow that would cut off the head. Her lady had her own white list since in her own words she and Hariric had their own priorities. For example, the only thing they both agreed on is that if Tywin or Olenna Tyrell tried a single shit, they would come out very badly.

''Lady Ashara considers that the possibility that there are men or women who follow the red god is an existing possibility and that therefore appropriate measures must be taken to ensure by all means that they are treated with extreme prejudice. It is understandable the discomfort that this can actually cause''. The Valkyrie knew that Dareon Rogare was possibly one of the most reliable people in the North. But that didn't mean that he wasn't still a nuisance of some kind in his mind. At least she could say that he would do his job.

"You know it's incredibly good to see the way you treat me. Anyway, I will leave what is the threat of the priests if they are there for you. What however makes me question is why you are here when they may have gone to see Lady Ashara of all things''. The possibility was too great if you stoored to think about it. It didn't matter how it looked, nor did it matter how many ways I tried to understand it. But in Dareon's mind the safety of the children of Lady Ashara and Lord Hariric were much more important than anything else.

"We are Lady Ashara's personal guard. Let's go where he tells us. And she has considered it appropriate that we deal definitively…

Camp of the forces of the Red Alliance-

Roose Bolton was not having a good day. Not at all. The truth is that it had been a long time without wearing and having a good day if he had to be honest. Things got ugly when his father died. A part of him wanted to blame the Stark house but it was not possible. There was no evidence. But he knew about his father's plot to damage the Stark house backed by an unknown ally. Roose felt more than justified by that action by believing and thinking that as the true sovereigns of the North the things that happened to the Stark house were perfectly fine.

Unfortunately, it doesn't matter what I try. The Stark presence in the north grew with each step and what is worse, the Northerners throughout the North revered the Stark house as responsible for this. The Forresters had occupied the position that the Glovers had before and enriched themselves thanks to a business of Lord Stark. As if that wasn't bad enough in his mind was the fact that each of the houses of the winter alliance was gaining more and more power. So he did what was normal and warned the crown. In this way he would have an ally against the Starks and could use the power of the southerner to subdue the winter lords.

He wasn't stupid. By then he realised that the messages were being intercepted. That froze his blood that day because he knew that then the Stark house knew that someone was trying to align the southerners against the North. Roose could say many things but if it was known that his house was of all things doing such things it was very possible that it would somehow end up in the worst place. No northerner would like the mere idea of a lord that somehow one of his own was willing to betray them by allying himself with the same lords who had fucked them for centuries.

Roose knew at that time that she had to move very carefully so that in the process the fury of the lords of the north would not awaken. If there was a reality that he could mark, it is that without the support of many houses he could never govern the North. And although there was nothing he would like more than to kidnap the heirs of some houses to support him, he quickly realised that it was better not to do such a thing.

Roose hated and despised Hariric Stark more than anyone could imagine. In the years Hariric Stark had helped the Northerners. The Northerners could get food now and what is more important with the large number of greenhouses they had that also meant that they could take care of people with food. Not to mention that the largest animal farms had meant a greater production of animal goods. And that without counting on the cold boxes in which they could keep food perfectly.

As if that wasn't bad enough, Hariric Stark had discovered mines in different territories. The action of obtaining different mines for each territory had meant a considerable increase in income. And he had taken advantage of it for the construction of a port in the Sea Dragon point and also to rebuild the moat even better by making that large canal that had meant new income. Thanks to those actions it meant in a few words that the North would be gaining of all things two settlements for its people or rather two places for the Stark house.

Among those things and much more was also the point that Lord Stark was a man who created solid alliances. Each of their allies produced a unique element that later meant that they produced a consumer good: perfumes, spices, silk, alcoholic beverages, sugar, cocoa, tea, coffee. All that was produced by the North. Although the Starks took a considerable part of the income, they still shared enough with their vassals, which made it impossible to say that they were not receiving a profit of some kind.

Of course at one point I had thought about using that thing. In saying that the Starks were a lot of profit but little sharing but it was shown that it was a huge mistake. Lord Stark distributed the money in two ways. One was the payment to the workers and therefore to the lord for what it was essentially to get the raw material. The second was for the protection of the matter of assailants. Needless to say, Lord Stark had earned a reputation just for that single fact. Of course, after knowing how much I earned with the sales of the elements, I could say that even the houses were receiving a tiny amount.

Of course, a good plan would have been to mention that Lord Stark was earning large amounts of money with his shares and that the others barely saw so much. It could have been the best thing I could do. But the problem is that no one would believe him. Hence he did the unthinkable and that he knew that if the word spread before he was ready he would be dead. He had allied himself with Prince Targaryen and later assisted in the kidnapping of Lyanna Stark. He knew that if the Starks found out that he had something to do with it, he was dead. All his house destroyed. That's why he had gained allies. The Ryswells and the Hornwoods had taken his side. But he also had two mercenary companies on his side.

He could honestly say that he had a great advantage over the Stark house. I didn't think there was a way for the Stark house to be with him. Once they found out about the kidnapping, he was sure that they would be looking like crazy and once such a thing was done then they would search. The prince told him that the Starks would find out that it was him and they would march south. Without the Stark house knowing, they would attack them from behind and then the Stark house would be destroyed. He allowed himself a little wine savouring the victory. But his court martial was already there with the leaders of the mercenary companies and the two lords present there as well

Roose frowned. He had been forced to accept several demands to have Ryswell and to have Honourwood on his side. From Ryswell he had to accept a wedding with a daughter from that house as well as at the same time deliver what was the city of Sea Dragon point for them. It was too high a price in his mind but he needed Ryswell's cavalry whether he liked it or not. However, despite that, he had the certainty and security that he could achieve what he had in mind in reality. And he also still needed an heir. But the Ryswell house would be treated with precision. Of the Hornwoods I had to deliver neither more nor less than the city of Whiteport and I also had to deliver the Twin Wolves. I was honestly upset with the demands.

When they caught his attention, he came out of his thoughts focussing on the people around him. It could be said with simplicity that everyone was waiting for him. A sigh came out of his throat before unrolling a map that showed what the northern lands were. It could be said that he had many things in mind but the most important strategy of all this is that the North was a land that was slowly changing. Lord Stark had rebuilt many territories creating large population positions. One more thing to control. If things continued the same way, the Bolton House would become the weakest house in the north.

"Well, let's start. Rumours that Prince Rhaegar has arranged a possible union and has taken Lyanna Stark are already circulating. It's only a matter of time before the members of the Stark house move against it in a way that could end perfectly well for us.'' Roose counted on the Starks to be against it. It was well known that Hariric Stark fought tooth and nail what was essentially her sister's marriage to Robert Baratheon so you didn't have to be a genius of any kind to know that he would also reject what was in essence that she was taken out of the north.

"It's a good thing that that gentleman and all the men who accompanied the girl ended up dead Lord Bolton. If not, then possibly Lord Stark would already be on top of us with the intention of cutting off our heads. I don't know about you but I like where my head is''. Lord Hornwood jokingly spoke of what he knew would have been real shit for them if it ended up happening. However, he had heard of the fight and how the knight and the twenty guards had brought forward several of the soldiers who had fought against them. He talked about how well trained the northern troops who trusted Stark were. It wasn't the best news.

"One hundred soldiers were lost to reduce those men. I don't think it's right to say we're lucky. If only twenty men and a winter knight are capable of doing such damage to the forces, I don't even want to imagine how much damage they can do with an army of such skilful and capable people. Bolton glanced at the idiot who thought it was funny. The prince and his guards had seen with surprise how those men had faced those of the Stark house. A trail of fear flooded him when he found out. The mere idea of soldiers like this filled him to the top with the feeling that Lord Stark could be preparing for war.

"Calm down Lord Bolton. I understand that you are upset by the choice of words of our common ally and I really understand it. But he must understand more than anything that he didn't want to offend about it. However, it is true. If that man had somehow found himself capable of informing the Stark house now we would have them on top.'' Lord Ryswell knew he had to calm Lord Bolton before he erused with rage and rage.

"I have reasons to be upset. Lord Stark…

-Battlefield-

-POV Bolton Alliance-

The whole red alliance and the mercenaries could see the northern army better now. In fact, they had an idea of them and felt fear. The army's armour was much better than theirs. Even the soldiers of the mercenary groups were nervous about the clearly better and superior armours. But the cavalry was not far away. The black horses were very large and looked even fiercer and stronger than their cavalry. The opinion that the whole alliance had was where such an army came from.

For the alliance came questions such as where exactly the money, wealth and resources came from. The North should not be able to afford such high-quality equipment in any way. Nor the horses that were essentially so strong. No. Lord Stark was lying to everyone somehow. He had hidden the wealth that the Styark house had to grow in strength. This led everyone in the alliance to start shouting at the army. A scream that was only made for one reason. A form of Defence.

The soldiers of the northern army remained firm in ranks. Looking at those who insulted them as if they were nothing. As if their words had zero value for them. As if all they could think and say about them is that they were more than anything the talk of a weak. Some would say it was an exaggeration of his attitude in some way. But what people didn't know is that one thing that was drilled in the army was military discipline. Above all, keep calm and don't get carried away by anything.

The red alliance seemed about to make the move of sending a dignitary when they were surprised to see the troops advance. The steel line was actually amazing and the military forces of the North advanced mercilessly. There was no trace of compassion. With a cry, Ryswell's cavalry led by the heir went out into the open field. Everyone hoped that this would bring some benefit from their side. What neither of them expected is what would take place after all things. After all, it was one thing to see the black horses in action and another very different thing was to see them destroy everything that really got in their way.

-POV Dareon-

Dareon saw the cavalry leave and with a single gesture gave the signal. The cavalry was positioned. I look at their enemies and with a single order they left. The powerful strength of horses. The armour and equipment of these. They were heavy cavalry without any doubt. And you could see how they took out their spears and put themselves in position. A few small lines against more lines. In a short time the two cavalry collided and it was to the misfortune of the red alliance that the cavalry of the alliance was crushed by the powerful attack force. There was no doubt about it. They passed them with their spears through them as if nothing had happened. Some of the horses came out badly but when it was crossed you could practically see the field covered with dead courtesy of no more and no less than the cavalry

Giving an order, all the horses that were out there running without a master were called with a whistle. In the words of his lord, resources are resources at the end of a war and taking the benefits from these was the best. You could see how the cavalry retreated as if nothing had happened. Not a single drop in this regard. Some would find it overwhelming. But that's what happened when you faced a highly trained military force against a force of screaming idiots. And the Khalasar had learned it the hard way.

With a single order the infantry continued its advance. He was in the middle of them. The black armour (Black knight armor FFXIV) that he wore along with a shield that had a dragon face and his sword with it. The accuracy of the advance. A rhythmic and calculated movement. You could feel the fear in the air. You could feel how the soldiers in front of them had fears. But then the scream came and as one they charged. The mercenaries too.

With the advance they saw the enemy infantry coming and in a calculated movement they lowered the spears placing them in a firm position. They remained firm and then the impact came. Like a furious wale that hits the acanthalido. Behind the force of the blow many could have thought they would retreat but they were only a small step. Between the very weight of the soldiers due to their continuous exercise and the heavy armour the onslaught was not powerful enough to make them retreat and then before they realised the infantry soldiers began what was the pushing task.

The infantry advanced. One step one launched and then coverage. That's when the enemy soldiers despaired and started all kinds of action to try to get through them. But he quickly turned against them when the Northern Archers rained their black arrows. Armed with better arches than anyone could imagine courtesy of high quality wood and a little alchemy he found that the arrows reached the targets at a distance. The archers shot in groups of five hundred. Every time a group shot, it retreated to give the next line the opportunity. The infantry northerners didn't even have to move just endure persisting and maintaining support while the archers bled them with crushes.

The infantry saw with despair how the arrows hit and arrived and then something unexpected happened when the infantry broke up forming in groups of two leaving aside the spears to draw their swords. Between the use of the well-known shield and sword tactic. While one attacked, the other defended. But that left Dareon who fought with his sword and shield. What no one saw was the thin flame that covered his sword allowing him to cut and go through everything. For everyone's eyes and especially his elite guard, they saw how Dareon Rogare compassionlessly pierced the enemy soldiers without further ado and did so by launching blows that broke the armour and broke the shields.

From the back Bolton and his conspirators saw how the army was massacred. They were clearly superior in number of that there was no doubt about it. But the combination of battle allowed the army fighters to overcome. Between that and their best armour that received the attack of the arrows, the enemy forces were soon seen retreating in fear. But then the worst happened when the cavalry of the northerners attacked and crushed mercilessly. The battle hasn't been long.

He and the others saw a group of no more than twenty figures. Smaller than them. They must have been women. Bolton was stunned when he saw that they had approached his position without any problem. Before he said to do anything they had knocked him off his horse and now he, Lord Ryswell, Lord Hornwood and the two mercenary captains were at the point of the sword. A small part of him shouted at him to defend himself but the intelligence seemed to shine. And then the defeat became more than present in his mind. They had fallen. What would this mean for the Bolton house? What would this mean for his legacy? It wasn't the most pleasant thought.
