Ye Nai pulled her electric bike into the Space and dashed into the military camp, where loudspeakers were broadcasting directions to several underground bunkers, directing people to take shelter nearby.

She didn't head for the underground bunker, as that was for the civilians who conducted business in the area. Instead, she rushed towards the dormitory building, hurried up the stairs to the roof, and looked out towards the unknown creature in the night, following the direction of the searchlights.

Just then, her mobile phone rang. It was Captain Mei.

"Ye Nai, where are you?" The voice on the other end was accompanied by the sound of running breaths and wind.

"I'm on the roof of the dormitory building."

"Good, stay in the camp. If there's danger, run on your own. Do you know where the nearest bunker is?"

"Yes, don't worry about me."
