Benjamin looked at his father. Their mother needed to come out now to deal with this before it got out of hand. If Nathan was in the car then he should come out now to talk some sense into his wife. 

Adeline was playing with fire and by the end of this, she was going to get burned. Benjamin was sure of it. There wasn't a way for her to get away with turning her back on her family like this. 

Adeline kept her eyes on her father. He could forget about Nathan being in the car and hit her. Nothing was out of the question when her father was angry. He would say and do anything then have them apologise for upsetting him. 

Vance was disappointed that Adeline would be like this. He would have placed Benjamin as the one to quit first. "You are disappointing. I thought you were smart but I was wrong."
