Clang! Clang! Clang!
In the darkness of the night, dozens of figures dressed entirely in black moved stealthily around the mansion. Once they were in position, they began to advance.
Their current mission was to eliminate all the key leaders of Ryo Fui's faction so that Ei Sei could lead the kingdom without any opposition. This way, Jun would gain control of all of Ryo Fui's riches, taking a tremendous amount of power in Qin.
"Move now!"
"Yes!"
The figures soon reached the gates of the first buildings, but it was obvious they would encounter guards, making a confrontation inevitable.
"You! Who the hell are you?" a guard demanded, unsheathing his sword.
"Identify yourselves or you'll be killed!"
"We are the cleaners, eliminating the useless and paving the way for our lord, the one who sees everything in the darkness of the night."
"Then die!" shouted a guard as his companion alerted the others that intruders were in the mansion.
Bang!
But at that moment, a curtain of blood clouded his vision, and when he tried to regain sight, he found his companion reduced to a mass of flesh.
"Enemies! We are under attack by multiple foes. We request backup!" Someone managed to gasp as a sword was driven deep into his chest like a ghost.
Once all the guards had been eliminated, the sound of fighting echoed from the upper floors, along with screams of terror.
"Prioritize the targets, avoid unnecessary confrontations, but eliminate any hindrances."
"Who sent you?" Ryo Fui stared at the bodies of the guards, members of his family, and the powerful defenders at his disposal. And yet, not a single assassin had been injured.
"Ryo Fui, priority assassination order. You will be executed for conspiring against His Majesty the King," declared the lead captain of the assassins, all clad in black and wearing animal masks.
"If you promise not to kill, I can give you whatever you desire in this world," Ryo Fui stammered, his face filled with horror as he raised his sword.
"The reports said you were distrustful and terrible with a sword. Now I believe it, but you do have courage." The captain of the assassins didn't move, and without warning, a ghost-like figure appeared behind Ryo Fui and drove a blade into his heart.
"How…" Ryo Fui never understood who had attacked him or how his enemy had been so strong.
"The last obstacle in our region is eliminated. The message will be sent, so let's leave this place," one man said as the rest of the assassins retreated.
In just one night, Ryo Fui had been killed along with hundreds of his guards in the mansion. No one was left alive, and no outside sources realized he had been assassinated just a few hundred meters from the palace.
Not everyone was killed; people like Commander Mou Bu weren't worth the risk of eliminating. His contributions to Qin were considerable.
If they wanted to kill a general like him, Jun or some of the Asuras who accompanied him would have to deal with him personally.
Since Ou Ki's death, the aura around Mou Bu has changed. The sharpness in him had dulled, but in its place was a fierce fighting spirit swirling deep within him. At this moment, the most terrifying general of Qin was undoubtedly Mou Bu, and his death would have been a great loss for Qin.
That's why Jun didn't touch him.

A day after that blood-soaked night, Jun, along with a small group of his diplomatic council, arrived at a vast forest near the mountains where the free men lived.
Behind him, a large convoy of carts loaded with dried food was being brought as a small offering to these people, though Jun wasn't sure if they would accept it.
Crack!
"Stop!" Jun, an expert in sensing his surroundings, halted. He sniffed the air coming toward him and, knowing they had arrived, said, "Take me to your leader. My name is Jun Asura, and I'm certain I bring important news that could affect your life in these mountains."
"Are you sure they're here?" Shen, who stood a few meters away from Jun, hadn't seen anything.
But at that moment, large figures emerged from the bushes, watching Jun warily.
Jun, skilled in interaction, raised his hands and said, "We come in peace. Let me have a meeting with your leader."
The mountain men studied Jun, and after a while, one of them extended his hand forward.
