Lucius kept his hands tucked inside his pocket as he stood near the floor-to-ceiling window.

"Lucius, we could have meet in a restaurant. Why did you ask me to come here to see you?" Sylvia asked and she stopped right next to him.

Lucius's hand shot out and he grabbed Sylvia's throat tightly, his thumb pressing on it, blocking the path of air through the windpipe as he slammed her against the fibre glass.

"Lu–" Sylvia couldn't speak, her hands instinctively flew to his wrists, trying to free from his strong grip. Her face turned red as she struggled to get free.

"How dare you mess up with me and my wife? Who are you to even bring up my past like that and gather such items just to make Layla go away from me? You have tested enough of my patience and even if you die today, it won't make any difference to me," Lucius said.
