She bundled up as tightly as she could in the provided cloak and blankets.
The damn drafty carriage was even worse than the tent had been, though.
And doubly so because there was no fire in the carriage to keep them warm.
Unfortunately, there were apparently things like 'safety hazards'.
The carriage being flammable, and the smoke filling up their small sitting area and suffocating them were apparently perfectly good reasons not to put a fire in the carriage. Which was all well and good, but had they considered - had anyone considered - just how damn cold she was?!
It was a blizzard outside, and her insane prince of a husband insisted on them riding through it! Had they even for a single second thought of how much suffering that would mean for her?!
Apparently the answer was 'yes', because she was shoved a bit closer to his warm body - he radiated heat like an oven - and covered in a bunch of thick blankets and coats.
