章節 6: Chapter 6; You are kids...
Sixth Master Huo placed the food tray on the bedside drawer before arranging the pillows at her back, letting her lean backward comfortably. He was surprised that she hadn't insulted them but was very understanding and patient towards them.
Was she acting and plotting something behind all this facade? He didn't truly believe that she had decided to stay and be a good mother to their triplets. It's been five years, he was hopeful but at the same time, he didn't want to be disappointed.
"Here is the porridge... Drink it first before having your medicine." He picked up the bowl of porridge and placed it on her lap.
Huo Minghao hurriedly picked up the bowl from her mother's lap, and her brother passed a tablespoon over to her, "Mommy, can I feed you? I will be super careful with you! I won't scald you." She eyed her nervously but also determined to show their mother that they would be good and lessen her burden.
"It's okay, but that will be slow... I want to go back to sleep." She was all dizzy and feeling bad; she wanted to rest as soon as possible, and her feeding her would delay her.
"I will be fast, Mommy." Huo Minghao immediately dipped the spoon inside the bowl, carrying the porridge, fetching some; she blew cold air from her mouth over to the spoonful that was carrying the porridge, cooling it down before feeding her. She was so careful and fast.
Tang Fei could only surrender to her gazing at those innocent puppy eyes, Sixth Master Huo strode over to the couch and settled down watching Tang Fei's face, he didn't see any disgust or displeasure on it like other days, it was just a different kind of emotion on her face that he couldn't describe what it was.
" See... It's done, have your medicine now, Mommy." Huo Zhihao gave her the medicine, and she swallowed it with a mouthful of water before moving the pillows away and laying down flat; she dragged the bed covers over to her body, covering herself weakly.
"Okay, we will accompany you here today Mommy." They softly spoke up, getting over to the bed to sit closer to her. They were in their clean home clothes, and they had already had their breakfast.
"You are kids; tell your father to take you over to the shopping mall to shop or play with other kids since it's a weekend; I will be just sleeping." The fear of abandonment could be seen and highly emitted out of their eyes as she could see and feel it.
She just wanted to sleep peacefully without anyone watching over her, but with them around, she wouldn't freely fall asleep comfortably.
'What if when they were out there she ran away? No, no, they won't go away. Instead, it's better if they watched over her.' Huo Fenghao shook her head not accepting her suggestion. They weren't going to move even an inch.
The other kids also shook their heads in disapproval! What if she ran away while they were out there shopping? They will be coming back home to just memories.
"You don't have to worry about that, momma. Today, we just want to stay indoors, and we will sit there on the couch and won't disturb you even a little bit, Mommy." They got off the bed and strode over to the couch, sitting down beside their father, facing her bed. The meaning was very clear, they weren't moving or going anywhere.
But since she had taken her prescribed medicine, she felt dizzy and fell asleep; they went over to the bed and aligned the covers, watching her closely.
Sixth Master Huo understood them since birth; this was the first time they could get closer to their birth mother without her getting violent and insulting them. He could only feel heartache for them.
"You know, if you watch someone so closely, they may feel you." And true to his words, the reborn Tang Fei was an assassin, and her consciousness was wide awake, and she could hear them and feel their movements.
"It's okay Father, she might wake up a different person that we wouldn't be able to get closer to... Let's enjoy this moment now as long as it could last." This was their fear, they also wanted to have a mother figure in their life. A mother who would love and treat them as their kids.
"Okay... " He stood up and picked up the food tray with the dirty dishes before leaving the bedroom and closing the door behind him.
He walked through the corridor and went down into the living area, he was wearing a black suit and matched with a white shirt while he wore black Oxford shoes. He didn't know why, but he didn't have any plans of going over to the office to work today. He felt like lazing around the house.
