“Thank you, Livie.” I hugged her back and took a deep calming breath before letting Livie go and turned to look at Mr. Davenport.

“Mr. Davenport, can you tell me the truth behind Mom’s death? What’s the forbidden spell that she used to keep me alive and healthy?” I asked him.

He looked hesitant to answer, but there was no use to keep it a secret anymore.
