章節 39: Chapter 39 Sakura

It didn't take them long to return to the Hidden Leaf Village.

Once they arrived, Shoi felt the urge to stroll around, absorbing the familiar sights of the village. Hinata had offered to accompany him, but he politely refused, knowing he still had missions to attend to the one involving Sakura.

Let's see how she plans to seduce me, Shoi thought with a smirk as he recalled the details of the mission.

[Mission - Taking Advantage]

Objective: Exploit Sakura's attempt to seduce you into a relationship. Use your chakra to wake Sasuke Uchiha from his coma.

Rewards: 1000 Degenerate Points, Body Recreation Jutsu ingredients.

Hehe, I can think of many ways to take advantage of this situation. Since it involves Sasuke, she'll do anything I ask. Hehehe… Shoi grinned inwardly, already imagining how this would play out.

Just then, Sakura's voice called out to him, snapping him back to reality. "Shoi!" She approached with a bright smile, her tone casual, though her intentions were clear to him.

"Sakura," he greeted her with a nod, his tone light, hiding the amusement bubbling inside. He let her think she had the upper hand, for now.

"I was just out for a walk and saw you," she said, her voice casual, but there was an underlying intent in her words. "It's been a while since we've talked, don't you think?"

Shoi raised an eyebrow, playing along. "I guess it has."

She stepped closer, her voice dropping into something softer, more intimate. "You know… I've been thinking about you lately." Her fingers brushed against his arm, light as a feather. "You're so different from everyone else. There's something about you… I can't get you out of my head."

Shoi allowed the touch to linger, observing her carefully. Here it comes, he mused, watching as she tried to play her hand.

She thought she could manipulate him—thought a little flirting would bend him to her will. Pathetic.

"Oh? Is that so?" he replied smoothly, his voice teasing. His mind, however, was already crafting his next move.

Sakura bit her lip and glanced up at him through her lashes, playing every card she had. "Yeah… there's something about you that I just can't resist."

She's really laying it on thick now, Shoi thought. He almost laughed at how obvious she was. But he kept his cool, letting her believe she had the advantage. The deeper she dug, the easier it would be to turn the tables.

"Maybe we should… spend more time together," Sakura continued, her fingers tracing small circles on his arm. "I think we could be good for each other."

Shoi leaned in slightly, lowering his voice as he locked eyes with her. "Is that what you really want, Sakura?"

He saw the flicker of hesitation in her eyes.

"Yes," she whispered, her voice trembling ever so slightly. "I want you, Shoi."

Shoi smirked, stepping closer, his hand brushing a strand of hair away from her face. His voice dropped to a low murmur. "If you want me… then you'll have to prove it."

Sakura froze for a moment, her heart racing. This was the moment of truth.

Sakura's breath hitched, and he could see the conflict in her eyes. She had started this, thinking she could control the situation. But now she realized she was losing that control.

"I… I will," she stammered, trying to keep her composure.

Shoi chuckled softly, his grip on her chin tightening ever so slightly. "Good. Because once you're mine, there's no going back."

Sakura blinked, her face flushing with embarrassment but deep inside she was disgusted him touching her.

just as they were walking around he heard someone talking

"Hey, did you hear? The hero of the 4th Great Ninja War is still in a coma. Even the healers can't do anything for him," someone murmured nearby.

Shoi's ears perked up. He saw an opportunity and smirked. "Hmm, well... not that hard."

Sakura, overhearing this, looked at him sharply. For a moment, she wanted to pounce on him, desperate to know if he could cure Sasuke. But she forced herself to stay composed. She had to play the long game. Even if it meant marrying Shoi, she would do whatever it took to wake Sasuke up. That was all that mattered.

"Umm... what? What's not hard?" she asked, feigning casual curiosity.

Sakura's heart raced, but she had to keep her mask in place. She couldn't afford to reveal how desperately she needed him—yet.

Shoi tilted his head, his amusement barely concealed. "You heard me," he said smoothly. "Curing the hero of Konoha isn't as impossible as everyone thinks. It's just a matter of having the right skills."

Sakura's breath caught in her throat. "You... you can cure him?" Her voice was barely a whisper.

He smirked, clearly enjoying her reaction. "I didn't say that. I just think it's easier than most people assume. It requires the right… approach."

Her heart fluttered with hope, but she quickly suppressed it. "What do you mean by the right approach?"

Shoi shrugged nonchalantly. "I don't know."

Sakura narrowed her eyes, suspicion growing. He knows something, but he's holding back.

"You don't know?" she repeated, her frustration evident. She had a gut feeling that Shoi knew a way to bring Sasuke out of his coma, but he wasn't telling her.

Shoi met her gaze, his expression cold and indifferent. "I have no interest in curing Sasuke Uchiha. Why should I care?"

Sakura paused, anger bubbling beneath the surface. She wanted to lash out, but she took a deep breath, forcing herself to stay calm. She needed to stick to her plan—slowly get closer to him, gain his trust, and extract the information she needed. Maybe even obtain a sample of his chakra.

She stepped forward, her voice calm and measured. "Because he's more than just a name, Shoi. He's a part of all of us. He fought for our village. Now it's our turn to fight for him."

Shoi raised an eyebrow, intrigued by her sudden passion. "And why should I care about your little village struggle? What's in it for me?"

Sakura's mind raced, searching for something that might pique his interest. "Power," she said, her voice steady. "Imagine having the hero of Konoha by your side. You could turn the tides in whatever you're planning. You'd have an ally with unmatched strength and skill."

Shoi leaned back against the wall, folding his arms across his chest. "Interesting proposition, but I don't need allies. Especially not a hero in a coma. So tell me, Sakura, what's your angle here?"

She hesitated, torn between pleading for his help and keeping her emotions in check. Revealing her desperation now would ruin everything.

"Nothing," she finally said, changing her tone to something lighter. "Let's just change the topic."

Shoi's smirk widened. "Is that so? What do you suggest?"

Sakura paused for a moment, her mind scrambling for an alternative. Then, an idea struck her. "How about we spend some time together? You know, I could invite you over. I'm planning to cook something special tonight. Maybe you'd like it."

Shoi raised an eyebrow, slightly surprised by the invitation. "You cook?"

Sakura forced a smile, masking her intentions. "Yeah, I do. So, what do you say?"
