章節 210: Chapter 210: Found Out! Run!

"Just wait here at the dock. I'll come back to find you in the afternoon," He Chaoyong said to the two bodyguards following her, as she chatted happily with Xia Yu and arrived at the car.

The two bodyguards exchanged glances, looking somewhat troubled.

"Miss, this..."

Xia Yu smiled and, with an unmistakable tone, said, "You can just report truthfully. Nothing will happen here."

The bodyguards, hearing Xia Yu's words, fell silent for a moment before nodding. They had been instructed by the eldest son, He Youjun, and were aware of who Xia Yu was. Since Xia Yu had spoken, there was no need for them to follow.

"Alright!"

"Miss, we will wait over there."

After the bodyguards answered, they pointed to a location for He Chaoyong.

"Got it!"

He Chaoyong said cheerfully.

Then, Xia Yu and He Chaoyong got into the car, which drove away from the dock while the bodyguards watched.

Sitting in the backseat with He Chaoyong, Xia Yu glanced at her pure, close-up face. The faint fragrance from her hair tickled his nose, and he couldn't help but take a deep breath.

Suddenly, he noticed a blush on He Chaoyong's cheeks and realized his unconscious action had made her aware. He immediately felt awkward.

To ease the embarrassment, Xia Yu quickly changed the subject, asking, "Chaoyong, is there any place you want to go?"

"Let me think..."

He Chaoyong, distracted, placed her finger on her lips, tilted her head slightly, and blinked as she thought.

"Got it! Let's go somewhere to eat. I heard there's a food street in Kowloon. Let's go there."

He Chaoyong's eyes lit up as she came up with the idea and immediately looked at Xia Yu, hoping he would agree.

Xia Yu smiled slightly and nodded, "Alright, we'll go there."

He Chaoyong's face immediately brightened with joy upon hearing Xia Yu's agreement.

"Yan, take us to Nathan Road in Tsim Sha Tsui."

Xia Yu instructed Yan Shining, the driver.

"Understood, boss!"

Tsim Sha Tsui is part of the Yau Tsim Mong District in Kowloon, located at the southern tip of the Kowloon Peninsula, bordered by Austin Road to the north and facing Central and Wan Chai on Hong Kong Island across Victoria Harbour.

From a geographical perspective, Tsim Sha Tsui is a peninsula at the southern tip of Kowloon, adjacent to Hung Hom Bay.

Hong Kong is a crossroads of Eastern and Western cultures, offering a diverse array of food including Chinese, Western, Japanese, Thai, and various Southeast Asian delicacies. The city is renowned for its tourism, with shopping and food being prominent attractions.

Tsim Sha Tsui, in particular, is a hotspot for trendy food. Nathan Road, Canton Road, and Chatham Road, along with side streets like Ashley Road and Cameron Road, are filled with countless specialty restaurants, making it an excellent place to spend time.

As He Chaoyong and Xia Yu chatted happily, the car quickly arrived at Nathan Road.

"Boss, we've arrived!"

Yan Shining reminded them, slowing down the car and waiting for Xia Yu's decision.

Xia Yu stopped talking, turned his head to look out the window, and said to Yan Shining, "Find a place to park, and we'll walk from here."

"Be careful getting out, don't hit your head!"

After getting out of the car, Xia Yu said to He Chaoyong, who was about to exit.

Seeing Xia Yu's concern, He Chaoyong smiled sweetly and ducked out of the car.

"Wow, so many snack shops."

After getting out, He Chaoyong looked around curiously and saw signs for restaurants everywhere, widening her eyes in surprise.

While in Macau, she usually went out with her family to high-end hotels, rarely visiting such down-to-earth clusters of snack shops by herself.

"Let's go explore. Just say what you want to eat."

Seeing He Chaoyong's amazed expression, Xia Yu smiled and said softly.

"Okay!"

He Chaoyong nodded enthusiastically and walked with Xia Yu...

They wandered around, stopping to buy things they were interested in. Not long into their stroll, He Chaoyong was already stuffed.

"So full, I can't eat anymore, but there are still so many shops..."

Sitting on a long bench, He Chaoyong rubbed her stomach, frowning slightly as she expressed her frustration.

Looking at the endless array of snack shops, He Chaoyong pouted, wanting to try everything but feeling too full.

"I told you not to eat so much, otherwise, you wouldn't be able to eat more later. See?"

Seeing He Chaoyong's distressed look, Xia Yu couldn't help but laugh.

He Chaoyong's face turned slightly red as she quickly explained, "It was too delicious, I accidentally ate too much. How can you blame me? If anyone is to blame, it's you for choosing this place."

"Alright, it's all my fault."

Xia Yu said with a helpless smile.

"It's okay. If you want to eat through an entire street, I'll bring you here next time."

"Yes, definitely. Next time, I want to try everything."

He Chaoyong's face showed determination as she made her decision.

After resting for a while, He Chaoyong and Xia Yu stood up to continue shopping.

Without realizing it, they arrived at a corner.

Seeing a crowd gathered across the street, He Chaoyong couldn't help but be curious and said to Xia Yu, "Xia Yu, there's a huge crowd over there. Shall we go see what's happening?"

"Let's go!"

They approached the crowd outside, and Xia Yu's gaze swept over the photos displayed and the items people were holding, quickly realizing it was a bookstore where readers were lining up to buy "The Legend of Qin."

"So it's a bookstore. I've never seen so many people around a bookstore before. This is the first time!" He Chaoyong said with surprise after seeing the sign. She was even more curious about what book could attract so many people to gather at the bookstore.

"Ah Dong, you're so lucky. You got the deluxe edition with Xia Yu's autograph poster inside. I envy you," one of the people who bought the book said as they walked out of the crowd.

"Hehe, I told you to buy the deluxe edition, but you wouldn't spend the money. A deluxe edition is only forty Hong Kong dollars, and you bought three copies for just thirteen Hong Kong dollars more. It's just three times the price. If you save up a bit, you would have that money," the young man named Ah Dong said cheerfully.

"Not everyone is as rich as you," the other person said with a pout.

He Chaoyong overheard their conversation and immediately understood that the bookstore was selling "The Legend of Qin."

"But isn't 'The Legend of Qin' Xia Yu's book?" He Chaoyong asked Xia Yu, looking puzzled.

"Yes, it's being released today," Xia Yu confirmed with a nod.

"Then I want to buy a set and have you sign it for me."

He Chaoyong's eyes lit up, and she immediately made the request, looking at Xia Yu with anticipation.

Xia Yu was somewhat at a loss for words and said, "If you want the book, there's no need to queue. I can give you one when we go back."

"I don't want you to give it to me. I want to buy it myself. By buying your book, I'll be a true fan of yours," He Chaoyong refused, giving her reason.

Xia Yu shook his head with a wry smile, deciding not to argue further. As long as she was happy, that was enough.

So, He Chaoyong and Xia Yu joined the queue. As the line moved slowly, He Chaoyong showed no signs of impatience. Instead, she listened eagerly to others discussing "The Legend of Qin" and Xia Yu, her face breaking into a smile.

At that moment, Xia Yu felt a peculiar sensation. It was the first time he was queuing to buy something, and it was his own book. The experience was indeed unusual.

Soon, it was He Chaoyong's turn. She approached the cashier and said, "I'd like a set of the deluxe edition of 'The Legend of Qin,' please."

"Alright, here you go."

"Thank you!" He Chaoyong took the book and politely thanked the cashier.

She then turned to Xia Yu with a happy smile and said, "Xia Yu, I bought it. You need to sign it for me!"

He Chaoyong spoke quickly, and before Xia Yu could stop her, it was too late.

Sure enough, as soon as He Chaoyong's words were out, the crowd went silent. Everyone turned their attention to Xia Yu, especially the bookstore owner. After confirming that the young man was indeed Xia Yu, the owner's face lit up with joy and he was about to speak.

"Oh no!"

Xia Yu thought to himself, realizing the situation was getting out of hand. Before the crowd could react, he grabbed He Chaoyong's hand and ran toward the exit.

"Chaoyong, run!"

He Chaoyong was confused at first but quickly realized her mistake upon hearing the commotion. She shouldn't have shouted Xia Yu's name so loudly in this place.

"Is it really Xia Yu? Xia Yu, please sign my book!"

"Ah! Xia Yu came to the bookstore to buy a book!"

"Don't run, Xia Yu! I'm your loyal reader, please sign for me!"

"Chase them!"

The crowd of readers outside saw a man and woman running out and were initially puzzled. Then they heard the excited cries from inside, realizing that the author of "The Legend of Qin," Xia Yu, was the man running away.

Realizing this, many were filled with regret. They hadn't recognized their favorite author when he appeared right in front of them and had to be reminded by the people inside. If they had known earlier, they wouldn't have let Xia Yu escape.

But fortunately, Xia Yu hadn't gone far!

Seeing Xia Yu running with a beautiful girl in tow, many immediately started to chase after them, with more people joining in behind.

Suddenly, Nathan Road became a spectacle: a man and a woman running hand in hand, with a large crowd chasing them excitedly, shouting and calling out.

This unusual scene made pedestrians stop and discuss, wondering if it was a film shoot.
