The space was illuminated with darkness, and a blank curtain hung before it. Nothing could be seen or heard, creating an unsteady feeling of unexpected events.

Taking gradual steps through the darkness, Daniel turned to scout for anything in the darkness. Yet his eyes could not grasp anything, and this kept him on edge.

Thinking his past dilemma was probably the end of the facade, he walked through. But his feeling of uncertainty rose with the fear of ambush, loosening his grip on reality.

After a few steps, Daniel sensed something amid the blooming chaos. Was it perhaps a figure, or a hallucination? His thoughts could not determine the root cause.

"Hu-man. Have you come to ease my pain?"
