"Next, please allow me to introduce you," the puppet girl said, maintaining a sweet smile, displaying none of the annoying brat's demeanor.
She raised her hand to lightly brush the hair at her ear and led Ahtal to the main seat, then consciously stood beside him.
She was the very picture of an assistant.
"This girl... is such a suck-up," someone murmured under their breath, causing the puppet girl to frown. Looking in the direction of the voice, she caught the eye of a Shark Girl sitting cross-legged in a chair, with a serrated greatsword beside her.
"I think you misunderstand," said the puppet girl with a smile. She produced a cup of coffee from nowhere and placed it in front of Ahtal's table.
"My respect for Lord Ahtal comes from the heart."
"Ah... yeah, I feel that," the Shark Girl scratched her head, her gaze drifting away. She had just made a snarky comment without much thought and felt a little embarrassed now that she had been caught in the act.
