The moment the woman's subordinate shot Ronald directly in the head, just as the woman was about to use her untraceable phone and call a cleanup crew and a few more subordinates to deal with the inconveniences occurring in the ballroom, she noticed that the bullet didn't actually pierce through Ronald's head, but only tilted his head slightly downwards.
But even though she was slightly surprised that Ronald was initially stronger than what the reports about him showed, she still wasn't afraid of him despite the fact that bullets can't harm him.
After all, killing someone as strong or even stronger than Ronald was almost an everyday occurrence to her.
That's right, she was also an assassin as well.
However, the difference her and every other assassins out there was that she was in a whole different ball park.
In the assassin scene, there was 4 publicly known lists worldwide that an assassin can raise their rank and status in every time they've completed a task from their employer and or client.
The Tiro list, which consists of beginner assassins, or assassins usually just starting out and trying to make a name for themselves.
The Maven list, which consists of intermediate assassins who typically have the ability to hunt down and kill those who are heavily protected.
The Maestros list, which consists of elite assassins who can infiltrate most of the heavily guarded places in the world and even kill those who are extremely well versed in martial arts, like master martial artists.
And The list of Titans, which consists of master assassins who can easily murder pretty much anyone in the world no matter what given that the person they're trying to assassinate isn't some kind of superhuman.
However, despite the fact that there was only 4 known public assassin lists out there, the actuality was that there was 3 more assassins list out there that literally nobody else besides those who resided on the list knows about.
The Celestial List, The Divine List, and The List of Immortals.
And the gap between someone from the celestial list and someone from the Titan list was so huge that even if everyone from the previous 4 lists mentioned combined their strengths together, they still wouldn't be able to take down the weakest person from the celestial list.
And of course, the gap between the assassins from the Celestial list and the assassins from the Divine list was even bigger.
Although she was ranked 5 out of the 30 people on the Celestial list and bullets couldn't scratch her skin at all, not even 100 of herself could take down the lowest ranked assassin on the Divine list.
And she didn't even want to think about the amount of strength someone from the list of Immortals has.
But anyways, enough of that being said.
"You seem quite stronger than I had initially thought, it looks like you do have some qualifications to meet me after all." The woman gave a half smile and stated in a ridicule voice.
For some reason however, Ronald didn't even bother budging at all and continued to blankly stare at the floor with probably one of the coldest expressions he's ever made ever since he has regressed back into this life.
"Tell me, what do you want help with?" Seeing that Ronald didn't respond to her at all, she started to get angry and spoke in a more aggressive tone.
Even though she had already planned to completely erraticate Ronald the moment he had stepped into this room, she still at least wanted to hear Ronald out.
The moment Ronald had heard the woman's aggressive voice, he closed his eyes, took a deep breath, slowly composed himself, and then decided that he'll take a more sinister approach.
"Here's the problem, recently there has been quiet a lot of people wearing daoist robes lurking around me for some reason, and I need them gone." Ronald said while staring at the woman with expressionless eyes.
"So...? I can't imagine that they're stronger than you, right? Why don't you just take them out yourselves?" The woman paid no heed to Ronald's rude behavior since she decided that she was going to kill him later anyways and asked the questions she had on her mind.
"I have my reasons." Ronald didn't want to tell her that he couldn't just openly use his strength against them.
"And I assume that the people wearing daoist robes that you're referring to are the ones that are attacking the ballroom right now, right?"
"That's correct."
"I see, so, what do I get in return?" The woman looked deeply into Ronald's expressionless eyes and asked.
However, the moment she had heard of Ronald's next words, her eyes couldn't help but started to heavily twitch.
"Lin Minyi."
