LUELLA CHEWED on her teeth as she stared at the Grand Duke. She tried her best to hide the surprised look on her face. 'How did he know about the fire bird? I thought Heath said it wouldn't be obvious unless it is closely looked at. So how? How did the gran duke know, and also why is he suspicious of the date?' 

She squeezed her finger tight, but not hard to draw blood.

"I don't know what you mean by your question, your grace" She opted to lie to him. 

It was her business, and she wasn't going to tell him. And thinking about it properly, there was no way she would willfully tell him and he would believe her. 

Archibald raised his brows at her. "You are still a hundred years too early to be lying to me."
