Leaving school with Violet they head home the car ride was mostly silent.

"Ash why did you hit that guy?" Violet asked suddenly breaking the silence.

"Why are you asking that all of a sudden?" He asked he had forgotten about the gruesome fight he just had at school. He was preoccupied with thoughts about his cousins and Uncle Hyde. The trouble that was bound to unfold at the manor.

"I didn't really get the chance until now. So, why?" She asked again.

"Because the shit head was talking about you, talking about how easy you probably are

and how good you'd taste and feel, what was I supposed to do? Let the talk about you? Let them get away with what they said? Fuck no." Ash growled. "You're my girl and I won't let anyone say things about my girl like that. What would that say about me?" He sounded really mad.

"You were sticking up for me?" Violet asked quietly, feeling a bit embarrassed her cheeks pinked.
