“Freya?” Did I just hear her right? I wasn’t imagining it…was I?

She buried her face in my chest, holding onto me tighter than ever. “Don’t say a single word! I’ve waited for this long enough…if you refuse once again, I swear I’ll just tie you up and force myself on you!”

A surprised laughter escaped my lips at her words. “You know…if the situation had been reversed, then I’d have been sent to jail.”

Freya looked up at me then, her blue eyes holding a kind of vulnerability that I had never seen before. “I’m not joking!”

Maybe it was the fact that I had come so close to losing her today or maybe it was just frustration that the mating bond hadn’t been able to connect for so long…but I decided to hell with patience once and for all. Freya was now eighteen and she was ready for me.
