章節 39: I Need You

Sophia rummaged through Liz's belongings, searching for medicine to tend to Ronan's wounds. Her heart pounded with urgency. The spears had inflicted deep, non-healing injuries, and she knew Ronan needed immediate care to regain his strength.

No matter how rude Ronan is, she couldn't let him die. She somehow knew that his hot temper is not by choice. Maybe if she helped him figure out why he acted like it, she could help him tame it.

But for now, her main goal is to get him out of there.

"I know what you are up to, Sophia," Liz's voice cut through the tension, stopping Sophia in her tracks.

Sophia turned, feigning innocence. "I am not up to anything bad."

Liz's eyes narrowed. "I am not stupid, Sophia. You're trying to help your mate, aren't you?"

Sophia's frustration boiled over. "Can you blame me? You would've done the same for your mate. I'm not going to let him sit there and bleed to death."
