"Hello, shopkeeper. I was passing by and saw the words' Devil Fruit,' which piqued my curiosity, so I decided to come in and look," Bruce Banner said politely to Rosh. Given his current predicament, Bruce didn't immediately reveal his true intentions and instead chose to assess the situation first.
"Welcome! Please, come in!" Rosh greeted Bruce with a smile, ushering him inside.
"Thank you," Bruce replied courteously, following Rosh to the counter. His gaze was immediately drawn to the peculiar-looking, oddly styled fruits in the display case.
"Shopkeeper, are these the Devil Fruits?" Bruce asked in amazement, staring at the bizarre fruits. Even though he'd heard from Helen about the miraculous abilities of these fruits, their strange appearance still caught him off guard.
"Yes, these are the Devil Fruits. Don't be fooled by their appearance; they are incredibly powerful," Rosh explained, giving Bruce a brief overview of the fruits' nature.
Bruce listened carefully but maintained his poker face, quietly assessing the situation. The shopkeeper's description matched everything Helen had told him. Bruce had already experienced Helen's healing power firsthand, so he had some level of trust. While still cautious, he was willing to give it a chance.
"Here, take a look through our catalog, which lists all the available fruits," Rosh offered, handing Bruce a book with detailed descriptions. "You might find something that suits your needs."
Bruce took the catalog with gratitude and began meticulously reading through each page, carefully scrutinizing the entries. Over the past months, he had tried countless ways to cure what he considered the "Hulk disease," but every attempt had failed. This place was his last hope for the time being, and he had to ensure he didn't miss anything.
"Ox-Ox Fruit, Model: Giraffe?... Cat-Cat Fruit, Model: Leopard ?" Bruce muttered as he skimmed through the list. "What on earth?"
He quickly realized that these fruits were categorized under the Zoan type, allowing people to transform into animals. Unfortunately, none of them addressed his issue. Bruce swiftly moved on to the Paramecia section.
The catalog was full of incredible and bizarre abilities: The Gum-Gum Fruit, Stitch-Stitch Fruit, Hormone-Hormone Fruit, and the Calm-Calm Fruit. While each fruit was fascinating in its own right, none seemed to offer a solution for his Hulk problem.
Meanwhile, Rosh was watching Bruce closely, pondering his situation. 'This version of Bruce… he's probably already turned into the Hulk, hasn't he?' If that were true, Rosh began to go through the various fruits available in his mind. Unfortunately, none of the fruits currently in the shop seemed capable of resolving Bruce's unique problem.
Even thinking about all the known Devil Fruits in One Piece, Rosh realized none could offer a perfect solution to Bruce's Hulk dilemma—except for one.
'The Door-Door Fruit! That's it. While it couldn't cure Bruce completely, it could help him manage the transformation to some degree.'
'The fruit that allows its user to open doors anywhere, anytime, and step into a separate dimension. With this power, Bruce could escape just before transforming into the Hulk, retreating to a safe place. The Door-Door fruit's extra-dimensional space could even serve as a containment area where Hulk could rampage safely until Bruce regained control. While not a perfect solution, it has a potential workaround.'
'Unluckily for him, the Door-Door Fruit isn't currently in stock.'
"I'm sorry, shopkeeper. Is this the entire selection of fruits?" Bruce's voice interrupted Rosh's thoughts. He looked up to see Bruce gazing at him with hopeful eyes.
"Yes, these are all the fruits currently available," Rosh replied, noting the disappointment that washed over Bruce's face.
Bruce's face fell slightly, disappointment washing over him. "I see," Bruce said, his final shred of hope fading.
"But don't worry," Rosh added confidently. "We'll be getting more fruits in the future. I'm sure one of them will be exactly what you need."
This perked Bruce up slightly. "Really? What kinds of fruits will you be getting?"
"The new fruits will be even more varied, and their abilities will be more powerful and complex. For example, the Door-Door Fruit." Rosh named the fruit he thought would be Bruce's best bet.
"The Door-Door Fruit?" Bruce asked, a bit confused. "What does it do?"
"It allows you to create a door anywhere—on a wall, in the air, even on water. You can step through the door and enter an alternate dimension or any location you want," Rosh explained.
Bruce's eyes lit up. This sounded like something that could actually help.
"Shopkeeper, when I open a door, where does it lead?" Bruce asked, already eager.
"Anywhere you want to go! Or you don't have to go anywhere at all; the door can lead to an interdimensional space where you can wait until it's safe to return," Rosh continued.
Bruce's face brightened with excitement. This fruit could be exactly what he needed. With the power to escape just before transforming into the Hulk, he could prevent much of the destruction caused by his alter ego.
"Are there any limitations to this power?" Bruce asked, trying to keep his excitement in check.
"None. You can open a door anywhere—on a rock, a tree, water, even on living beings."
This was it. Bruce felt he had finally found a way to control the Hulk.
"I'll be waiting for this fruit, shopkeeper," Bruce said, determination filling his voice.
