Ave was left speechless when they arrived at the view Lucian had promised she would like. It was located far from the villages and more closer to the palace, however, it was in an isolated location no one would have ever thought a place like this could be there.
As he helped her down from the horse, she looked around in stunned disbelief, taking in the beauty of the small forest surrounding them. In the center was a clear blue large pond, sparkling and reflecting the golden sunset, bathing everything around them in a warm, golden glow.
Birdsong filled the air, and a gentle breeze swayed the leaves. Right beside the large pond was a simple swing, made from broken tree branches, with vines curling around it. The grass looked greener than anything she'd seen here, so she slipped off her shoes as Lucian went to tie up the horse. Stepping onto the grass barefoot, she felt it tickle her feet in a way that made her giggle, like a girl again.
"This is lovely!"
