章節 44: Shooting Star
Before either could react, Star let forth threats from his hands, tying them both down to the bed.
Star grabbed Yoshi and started talking to him. "Extremely loyal, very clingy, possessive, will love you unconditionally, may bite during mating, will always have your back in a fight, always happy to see you. Sounds super hot. No wonder you like her so much. Would suck if som-"
Suddenly, Alice punched Star in the face, knocking through all the walls of the school, and out into the courtyard.
She used null to destroy her threads. Then, once the area was clear, she destroyed Yoshi's restraints. "Sweetie, are you ok?" Yoshi began to hyperventilate. His heart pounded so loud, they echoed through his ears. "Yoshi!"
Seeing Star and having the sadistic spider keeper touch him was enough to send him into shock. He couldn't move his legs, even if he wanted to. He had nightmares about Star, but they were much less frequent and his friends gave him so much hope, that he mostly forgot about the pain he endured. But looking into Star's five terrifying eyes was enough to bring back all the trauma he experience. Like tearing off a bandage on a half-healed wound.
Alice didn't know what to do. Before she could think of anything, Star's threads came out from the holes in the walls and dragged her outside. He slammed her against the ground and kicked her into the side of the art room. "Pathetic. Oh, and don't worry. None of the other students will interfere with this fight. I had Willow and the other higher-ups remove them. It's just you, me, and those waste of oxygen you call friends. I hope you're ready for a show." Alice jumped back up. She tried to grab her weapons but realized she was still in her onesie. "Wow, are you gonna fight me in that thing? How s-"
Before Star could finish his sentence, he was smacked with a giant metal pole, which made him roll all the way into the main building. Alice had taken a poll and used it to hit him. "Shut up, trash. I'll fight you in whatever I want."
Star got back up, wiping blood from his nose. "Nice surprised attack. I forgot everything in this school is made out of crystos for invasions like mine. 4.5 trillion dollar campus." Star picked up a rock and threw it at Alice, it was too fast for her to avoid and it put a hole through her waist, making her eyes constrict in pain. "Tell you what. To make this interesting, I lower my level to yours. That way, I can extend this torture of yours."
Star put two of the bands he used to constrict Belle and Yoshi on his wrist. Though it greatly reduced his power, he was still stronger than Alice. "Alright, let's go."
Star prepared for his next move. She quickly regained her footing, adrenaline coursing through her veins. His spider webs extended toward her again, but this time, she was ready. She sidestepped, narrowly avoiding the strands that whipped past her and launched herself forward. She swiftly leaped into the air, dodging the threads as they sliced through the air.
She landed gracefully and retaliated with a swift kick aimed at his stomach. Star staggered back, but quickly composed himself, summoning a shield of threads that deflected her follow-up blows.
With a flick of his wrist, he sent a barrage of sharp threads toward her, each shimmering dangerously in the dim light.
Alice rolled to the side, feeling the sharpness of the threads graze her arm, leaving a shallow cut. As she ran up to him, she fired off a massive null orb, which he front-flipped over. This only made Alice more mad, because it showed Star was just toying with her.
Star's smirk as she closed the gap and unleashed a wing chun barrage. Star dismantled his shield and blocked off her attacks with his arms and the back of his hands.
Alice became even more ticked off, and she charged up a death orb. She hoped it would at least be strong enough to paralyze Star.
He quickly formed a larger shield of threads for protection, but Alice was already upon him. She struck with powerful blows, and the threads began to unravel under her onslaught. She got close to him and tried to launch the orb at close range, but he just swepted her feet and palm strikes her away. She crashed into a stone statue and fell to the floor.
"Wow, you're still so pathetic. I can't believe how sad you are." Star said while dancing over Alice's body. She tried to get up, but she had just taken too much damage. However, she still tried and eventually sprang up. But before she could attack, Star kicked her in the neck and arm, dislocating her shoulder and making her fall back down. "Well, this was fun, but I'm bored now. So, say bye-bye to your life."
As Star's hand was about to cave in Alice's face, someone came in and impaled him through the chest. Star turned around, shocked Yoshi was standing with his katana in Star's chest. Yoshi used the water and flung Star away into the side of the wall of the art building.
"Y-Yoshi, you saved me."
Alice noticed Yoshi demeanor. He was terrified. His limbs were trembling and his breath was shaky. He was absolutely terrified. Even then, he still came into rescue her. Despite his overwhelming since od dread, he was trying to push through so he could help Alice.
Seeing this filled Alice with a new motivation and she popped her shoulder back into place, which made her grunt in pain. Alice got up and held his hand gently while rubbing the back of it. It helped him calm down and his shacking began to cease. Yoshi took some deep breaths before his body stopped shaking. He handed Alice her scepter and one of her sickles.
Star got up again, but as he was charging in, he was punched by minotaur keeper Belle, sending him flying across the entire school. Even with this, he took barely any damage besides a scratch on the side of his face.
"Belle... Yoshi..."
"Sorry I took so long." Belle said with a smile. "I was getting my beauty sleep."
Yoshi turned onto his dragon keeper form. His claws extended and his 4 wings bursted forth. "Alright team, let's do this."
