章節 15: From Now On

As Wade continued driving, the snow-dusted road stretched out before him, his mind buzzing with conflicting thoughts. He considered the plot of the first X-Men movie. While his mother had absorbed some of his father's healing factor, Wade wasn't entirely sure how long her borrowed powers would last. After all, her other abilities were only temporary. That also begged the question about his own powers—would they suddenly disappear at some point? The only abilities that were originally his were absorption, claws, and a healing factor. He didn't know if, or when, the others would be gone.

"If I can get close enough to Magneto, maybe I could negotiate a swap. Tell him I've got my mother's power and see if I can strike a deal," Wade mused.

He reflected on his abilities, noting that he only possessed 20-50% of the potential power of those he'd absorbed. "And if I kill him, isn't Professor X gonna be sad because his boyfriend will die? I don't think I'd like to live in a reality where there are only two goody two-shoes... Unless I become Magneto too? But that would be too much work. I just want to have fun and enjoy my life…"

We're here to impose chaos, not maintain the balance of good and evil. Let's leave that to Xavier and Magneto. We could just defeat him later without killing him. It'll make us look good in front of Prof X…

The idea had some merit, but it was risky. Magneto was a formidable opponent and could be a valuable ally if Wade played his cards right. Still, Magneto had a tendency to manipulate and sacrifice young mutants without a second thought. Wade shuddered at the thought of exposing Ken and Laura to that kind of danger. He couldn't risk Magneto discovering them, especially with their adamantium skeletons.

(BUUUUUUTTT, hear me out, Magneto power, we'd be really OP dude!!!)

"Yeah, but it'd be supeeeer boriiiing! I don't want it! I don't care if many readers quit this fic—I DON'T WANT PEACE! I WANT PROBLEMS!!! ALWAYS!!! GIVE ME CHALLENGES, YA SHITTY AUTHOR!!! I DARE YA! I'LL FIND YA ONE DAY!!! MARK MY WORDS!!!"

(He gonna regret that later…)

Yep…

Wade's thoughts shifted to Sabretooth. "Technically, Sabretooth's still alive, just out cold. His healing factor's probably keeping him alive, but he could be in a coma." Wade considered bringing him along. It'd be pretty funny to strap him to the front of the truck, Mad Max style! But then again, he'd driven too far from him.

Yeah, too late for that… Wait… Did you just steal another commenter's idea?

"Besides, dragging a giant mutant along in front of your truck isn't exactly subtle, police will definitely chase us again—unless the author wants another car chase scene. Not to mention, I want to see an epic showdown between Dad and Sabretooth at some point. I also want to fight him too! Practicing his 'with great power comes great irresponsibility' speech again with him could be fun, too!" Wade grinned at the thought.

You are fucking crazy…

Wade grinned as he glanced at the map spread out on the dashboard, stopping for a while so that he didn't make the same mistake as before. They didn't need to be stranded in Alaska and the Canadian Yukon again. "X-Mansion it is! Hmm, we could probably get there in three days' time without stops... Ugh, three days? Fuck that! I'm just gonna steal a plane! Where's the nearest airfield?"

His eyes scanned the map, finally zeroing in on a small airfield not too far from their location. "Aha! Found it! Perfect. Professor X wouldn't mind if I crash-landed a plane on his mansion, would he? I mean, the guy loves kids, and I am still a kid! Oops, that came out wrong… Fuuuuccck… Uh, yeah, real creepy…" He paused, reconsidering. "Okay, maybe near the mansion, not on it. They've got kids there, after all."

(Sooo… the author wanted a plane crash scene, dangerous territory there author, this was near that month after all…)

Wade adjusted the truck's course toward the airfield. It wasn't long before they pulled up to the edge of the small, dimly lit airstrip. Wade parked the truck in a secluded spot, then carefully gathered up Ken and Laura, who were still half-asleep.

"Alright, mini ninjas, time to get sneaky," Wade whispered as he gently lifted Ken and Laura, cradling them in his arms. "Let's go find ourselves a plane."

Moving with surprising stealth, Wade navigated the quiet airfield, weaving through shadows and avoiding the few personnel on duty. The soft hum of machinery and the distant buzz of the airfield's lights added to the tension, but Wade's confidence never wavered.

After a few tense moments, he spotted a small plane at the far end of the runway. "There's our ride," he murmured, a smirk forming on his lips.

With his siblings securely in his arms, Wade made his way to the plane, slipping inside with practiced ease. The cockpit's controls looked complicated, but with Skinny Wick's memories guiding him, Wade felt confident he could manage. He settled Ken and Laura into the back, strapping them in securely with parachutes on their backs before turning his attention to the controls.

The engines roared to life with a deep rumble, vibrating through the plane as the propellers spun up to speed. "Alright, folks, welcome aboard Deadpool Airlines! Next stop: X-Mansion! Or... you know, somewhere close. Probably the pool or the fields—not the garden. We don't want Storm's wrath on us."

"Please don't explode, please don't explode," Wade whispered to the plane as it began to roll down the runway. "C'mon, baby, take off nice and smooth, and I'll let you crash-land in style later."

With a slight pull on the yoke, the plane lifted off the ground, leaving the airfield behind. Wade let out a whoop of excitement, the thrill of the flight rushing through him. "We're airborne! Now, let's just hope I don't pull a Die Hard 2 and blow us all to smithereens!"

(He gonna pulled Die Hard 2 isn't it?)

He already jinxed it… So, yep…

-

Logan's eyes snapped open, his senses immediately on high alert. The sterile white room, the soft hum of machines—it was all wrong. Instinctively, he ripped the IV from his arm and jumped to his feet.

"Sugar?" Marie's voice cut through the haze. She was already sitting up in the bed beside him, looking as disoriented as he is.

Before Logan could respond, the door swung open, revealing a red-haired woman in a white lab coat.

"Whoa! You're awake!" she exclaimed, stepping into the room.

In a flash, Logan was on her, moving with lightning speed. He slammed her against the wall, one hand around her throat, the other claws inches from her face.

"Where the hell is Sabretooth?" Logan growled, his grip tightening around the woman's throat.

The woman gasped, struggling for breath. But before she could answer, Marie was up and moving, eyes narrowed, her stance ready for a fight. "Talk. Now. Where are we?"

The woman started to speak, but the pressure on her throat was too much. She made a choked sound, and before Logan could loosen his grip, she slumped unconscious in his hold.

"Shit," Logan muttered, letting her drop to the floor. Sometimes he forgot how strong he and Marie was. But before he could think of what to do next, Marie was already moving toward the door, eyes scanning for threats.

"Let's go," Marie snapped, taking out his hands and running through the door.

As they rounded a corner, they skidded to a halt in front of a large cabinet, the doors slightly ajar. Inside, rows of sleek, black-and-yellow uniforms were neatly hung, ready for use. But what caught Logan's eye was a simple, worn sweatshirt folded on a shelf near the bottom.

He reached for it without thinking, tossing it to Marie before grabbing one for himself. They both slipped them on, the soft fabric offering a small sense of comfort amidst the chaos.

"Where're they going?" Their senses flared up after hearing a whispered voice in their heads.

"Did you hear that?" Logan glanced at Marie, now on high alert as he didn't like where they'd ended up. Too many bad memories in places like this.

"Yeah," Marie answered warily. She didn't like being here either, especially with the strange voices and whispers.

"Where are you going?" the voice said again, softly inquired, almost as if puzzled by their indecision. Logan and Marie were startled, their eyes sharp looking for where the voice might have come.

"Over here," the voice continued, nudging them left, then right, subtly directing them toward the elevator from the facilities.

"What the hell is this place?" Logan muttered under his breath.

Marie didn't answer, but her eyes were just as wary as his. The elevator opened up into a wide corridor filled with sunlight, large windows revealing a sprawling lawn outside. As they moved, they passed what appeared as classrooms, hearing the faint murmur of lessons and clatter of children and teenager voices. The atmosphere was far from hostile, but they still as vigilant as ever.

Logan and Marie exchanged puzzled glances, silently agreeing to keep moving. They had no time to dwell on the surreal scene. They finally made it to the exit, slipping outside into the fresh air.

The grounds around the building were expansive, with lush gardens and wide-open fields. The place was beautiful, but that didn't put them at ease.

"This a school?" Marie hissed, her expression skeptical. They are stealthily avoided a bunch of teenagers running from the stairs.

"Looks like it," Logan grunted, still scanning for any sign of a trap.

Logan and Marie exchanged a glance, quickening their pace as they followed their instincts. They could almost feel the presence of whoever was guiding them, a force that seemed to be working in their favor despite the intrusion into their minds.

"Good morning, Logan, Marie." The voices in their heads now had a physical presence as they found themselves in a classroom with a bald man in a wheelchair, teaching a group of teenagers.

"So, I'd like your definitions of weak and strong anthropic principles by Wednesday," the bald man said, dismissing the class.

"Physics. I'm Charles Xavier. Would you both like some breakfast?" Charles—apparently—asked gently while holding up a book.

Marie took a step forward, her eyes narrowing as she scanned the room. "Where are we? And what's going on?"

"Westchester, New York," the man replied smoothly. "You were attacked. My people brought you here for medical attention."

Logan's eyes narrowed. "We don't need medical attention."

"Yes, of course," the man said, unperturbed.

The door to the classroom slid open, and a man with a red visor and a woman with white hair entered, their presence adding to the tension. The man's visor gleamed with a red light, while the woman's aura seemed to fill the room with electricity.

"Logan, I'd like you to meet Ororo Munroe, also known as Storm," Charles gestured to the woman with white hair who had just entered. "And this is Scott Summers, also known as Cyclops." He gestured to the man, who extended his hand to Logan and Marie. Neither of them responded, still on high alert and distrustful. Scott seemed slightly offended by their subtle rejection.

"They saved your lives," Charles said, his voice gentle, though he looked puzzled by their wariness.

The woman they had attacked earlier walked into the room, looking slightly disoriented. "I believe you've already met Dr. Jean Grey. You're in my school for the gifted—"

Marie cut him off, her voice tinged with skepticism. "What kind of school?"

"A school for mutants," Charles explained. "You'll be safe here from Magneto."

"What's a Magneto?" Logan's voice was rough with confusion.

"A very powerful mutant who believes that a war is brewing between mutants and the rest of humanity," Charles explained. "I've been following his activities for some time. The man who attacked you both is an associate of his, called Sabretooth."

"Sabretooth?" Logan echoed, then continued, "Storms, what do they call you? Wheels? This is the stupidest thing I've ever heard." He glanced at Charles, finding the situation absurd.

"It has been almost three years, hasn't it? Living from day to day, moving from place to place with no memory of who or what you are, and not knowing the whereabouts of your son? Isn't that right, Logan? Marie?" Scott, Storm, and Jean look surprised at this revelation as they didn't find any child near the couple when they rescued them. They seems to look equally distressed with the though that they left behind a child all alone on his own in that quiet road in Canada.

"Shut up," Logan snapped back, annoyed. "How the hell did you know anyway?"

"How did you know about our son? Did you rescue him? Is he here?" Marie asked, her voice filled with hope.

Xavier remained calm. "No, I don't believe we have your son as a student here, but I can help you find him. Give me a chance. I may be able to provide you with some answers."

"Why should I trust you?" Logan's voice was low, almost a growl. Marie remained quiet, but she looked distressed.

"Because you're not the only one with gifts," Xavier said, his gaze steady as he sent them a mental image, reminding them of how his voice had guided them.

Marie glanced at him, her eyes wide with concern. "So, this Magneto, he's coming after us? What does he want?"

"That's something we're still trying to determine, although we suspect it's because of your mutations, your gifts," Xavier admitted. "But what I do know is that both of you are safer here than anywhere else. And if you're willing, we could use your help. The world outside these walls is changing rapidly, and there are many like you—young mutants who need guidance and protection. We offer training, a community, and a purpose."

"You said it's our mutations that Magneto wants. How about our son? How will you find him? Because if he is our son, his mutation will likely be similar or related to ours. Sabretooth claims to be my brother, and he also has a healing factor," Logan said, his tone concerned. He was just realizing that he and Marie had unintentionally abandoned their child, who was now in great danger because of his potential mutations.

"We have our ways. I'll even take a look right now to see where your son might be," Charles said, looking at them kindly. Although his face remained neutral, he was genuinely concerned that their latest rescues had a son together and, even worse, didn't know where he was.

Logan's jaw clenched as he weighed his options. The idea of being tied down to any place, of working for someone, didn't sit well with him. But the thought of Magneto coming after them—and their son—was even worse. They had no leads on their son's whereabouts, which only intensified his unease.

Logan exhaled sharply, his internal struggle evident. After a long moment, he finally nodded. "Alright, Bub. We'll stay. But we're not here to work. We just want to know where our son is and what Magneto's plans are."

Xavier smiled warmly. "That's all I ask. And I assure you, you won't regret it."

Meanwhile, with Wade, Ken, and Laura…

As the plane ascended into the sky, Laura and Ken slowly stirred from their sleep. Laura was the first to realize what was happening. Her eyes widened with excitement as she gazed out the window at the shrinking landscape below. The vast expanse of clouds and the clear blue sky filled her with a sense of wonder.

Ken, still groggy, rubbed his eyes and looked around. "We... flying?" he asked, his small voice filled with awe as he peeked out the window, his little hands pressed against the glass. "Wade... we up in sky!"

Wade grinned, turning in his seat to face the kids. "That's right, my little co-pilots! We're soaring through the sky, just like Peter Pan! Except, you know, with a lot more metal and slightly less pixie dust. But hey, who needs magic when you've got Wade Howlett at the controls, right?"

Laura, still not fully understanding, reached out and touched the window with her tiny hand, leaving smudges as she tried to grasp the fluffy clouds outside. She made a soft sound, a mix between a giggle and a hum, her small mouth curving into a smile.

Wade's heart melted a bit at the sight. "Look at you, kiddo! You've got the right idea—just enjoy the ride! Clouds are like cotton candy, but, uh, less edible. Trust me, I've tried. Spoiler: they don't taste great."

Ken giggled at Wade's words, even if he didn't quite understand them all. "Cotton candy... in sky?"

Wade winked at Ken. "Exactly! It's like a giant, fluffy, sugar paradise up here. But don't worry, we'll find some real snacks when we land. Maybe we'll hit up the X-Mansion kitchen—they probably have got cookies the size of your head. Seriously, that guy wealth needs to be questioned, what the hell that he do? That geeks club not gonna generated income and I don't think his trust fund is that bottomless? No way!"

Laura, still curious but not yet able to express herself verbally, tugged on Wade's sleeve. She pointed out the window again, then looked back at him with big, questioning eyes.

Wade nodded, understanding her silent question. "We're going to a big house, kiddo. It's called the X-Mansion, and it's full of really cool people who can do amazing things—kinda like us, but with fewer claws and more homework. But don't worry, I'll make sure you get to the fun stuff first. Who needs algebra when you've got superpowers, am I right?"

Laura responded with a happy wiggle in her seat, her small feet kicking as she clapped her hands together, enjoying Wade's attention and the excitement in his voice.

Ken, always looking up to Wade, asked, "Big house? Like castle?"

Wade chuckled, nodding enthusiastically. "You bet! It's like a castle, but with more gadgets and fewer moats. We might even find a secret passage or two—because every cool place has to have secret passages. It's a rule!"

Ken's eyes lit up at the mention of secret passages, his imagination running wild. "Find secret! Hide-and-seek!"

Laura, catching on to Ken's excitement, clapped her hands again, even if she didn't fully understand what a secret passage was. She just liked the idea of playing and exploring.

Wade ruffled Ken's hair and then gently tapped Laura's nose, making her giggle. "That's the spirit! We'll turn this whole place into one big game of hide-and-seek. And don't worry, I'll make sure you both win. No one out-hides Wade Howlett!"

"And speaking about a game, hey how about when we get there, I have an idea—one that might just get me skinned alive by our Daddy and Mommy, like, infinite times," Wade said, his eyes glinting with mischief. "But it'll be epic! You guys in?"

Laura and Ken, catching his infectious excitement, scooted closer to Wade. Ken's eyes widened with curiosity, and Laura, though she didn't speak, nodded eagerly, her small hands clapping in anticipation. Their eyes gleamed with mischief, fully onboard with whatever wild plan Wade had in mind.

(Ohhh, this gonna be good!)

Our healing factor gonna work overtimes multiple times, I felt sorry for them…

It hadn't been a day since their discussion about what to do after Charles Xavier's failure to find their child with the help of a machine or super computer called the Cerebro. Logan and Marie were discussing their options in near the garden when a small plane flew overhead. The Professor and Jean quickly alerted everyone at the mansion about the unauthorized aircraft.

"Is that a bird? Is that a plane? Is that Superman? No, it's Marvel Jesus y'all!"

They heard a loud, boyish voice from a megaphone and the sound of children laughing coming from the plane. The aircraft performed a series of acrobatic loop-de-loops before diving straight toward the ground.

"Hello X-Men! Behold! I am Marvel Jesus, your Lord and Savior, here to save you! Excelsior!" The voice boomed through the megaphone as the plane dove toward the earth. The figure inside the plane stood up and appeared to throw something out. A bundle popped open into a parachute, revealing two toddlers strapped into it.

Panic ensued, but fortunately, the plane was diving into a clearing where no students were around, and the plane was quite small.

The plane hit the ground with a loud explosion. Gasps and screams erupted as everyone saw that the boy was still in the aircraft. Scott and several older boys rushed to the field, with Logan and Marie following closely, to assess the crash site.

"I AM ALIVE!!!" a voice screamed as a twelve-year-old boy figure jump up from the wreckage, arms raised like with the boy looking a human torch for a bit. "Aw, it's hot, it's hot!!!" he exclaimed, trying to put out the flames on his clothes and body.

"Well, shit. Now we know we actually survived a plane crash! Hurts like hell, though! Hey, maybe I should've hijacked that hijacked plane in '01 and saved everyone? Too soon? Yeah, you're right, probably not a bright idea. I could've made it worse, and the whole timeline thing could be screwed up," the boy mused aloud, still feeling amused as he made his way from the crash site. Above him, the parachute slowly descended, revealing the two toddlers strapped into it.

"Again! Again! Again!" one of the toddlers shouted enthusiastically while the other reached out, asking to be carried. The boy, now out of the wreckage and looking surprisingly fine despite a few burned patches and a somewhat haggard appearance, approached the toddlers.

"Not now, Laura, I'm still healing and pretty hot—I don't want to give you burns. I feel like a Human Torch right now! Not my favorite's Chris Evans roles, but I managed! And YEAH KEN!!! MY BOY!!! We definitely doing it again! We should probably plan ahead, though. Since I know the aircraft here is a super-secret geeks' club owned that probably wouldn't accept me anyway, they never did, most I could do probably intern… Hey! Maybe we could steal from Stark or SHIELD in the future?" he suggested, trying to put out the remaining flames on his body before checking the parachute and picking up the smaller toddler, who was throwing a tantrum from being ignored.

"Who's the bravest girl? Yes, you are! See, I'm okay!" The boy said as Laura reached for his healed hand. He carefully pulled his hand away and extended three clawed blades, causing everyone to gasp. "I'm okay, see? Still got claws! Don't worry about me, princess! And you know not to touch my skin, right?" He retracted his claws and pulled up his mask, revealing a young face strikingly similar to Logan's.

The boy grinned at Logan and Marie, as everyone looked on in astonishment.

"Hey there Momma! Pops! How long has it been? You guys really hard to track lol! Eh, before you said anything! I swear it's not because I couldn't read the map!"
