General placed a coin on the table.
"Is this the payment?"
"For your future and us? Yes..."
"I don't get it."
"It is simple Mr Christoph. According to our scientists, all you have to do is to put this coin in that miniatire blackhole.$
"Is that it? Is it that easy?.. I mean you could ask your men to do the job. I appreciate that you want to show me this general but... this is lowkey insulting to my profession."
"No...no...I'm not finished saying. What you have to do was something that may be simple but not easy. You only has to put the coin there, yes... but... on that way, you may encounter things many normal human beings cannot handle. You will be passing through the dimension of danger and terror first..."
"What kind of terrors"
"You cannot predict what kind... because it is the pure dimension of chaos. What would come to you cannot be foretold by anyone."
"What is the goal of this mission. What are you trying to do with it?"
"After you finished dropping the coin in the singularity of "The Rotten Gold", there will be a butterfly effect happening in the time space continuum and finally resulting in a way that would benefit our civilization."
"Why does that required a coin?"
"Well... it's not limited to just a coin. The black hole is specifically designed to bring benefit no matter the consequence after all. The coin is more of a decoration. The reason we chose the coin is that we want to recreate the miracle like those wishing wells. And the coin is also not just a normal coins. It was one of the treasures remained unscathed from the previous nuclear war. It is a lucky dime."
"What treasures?"
" Our country has been in existence for millenias. Even thousand years before the nuclear war. It was said these treasures belonged to traitorus scums who betrayed and fled this country. That's all the records we know about."
"I just realized something. With this technology, you could just impress the space people and collaborate with them. Wouldn't that also bring benefits?"
"That would bring benefits but then we would have to share. What we wants to do is us... only us will rule over them and everyone. Only our nation will come out on top. We want to go back to the olden days where we watch our enemies suffer."
"Doesn't that include me?"
"Not if you cooporate with us. You will receive benefits as much as us. You can eat as much as you want. You can live as much as you want without needing to work. You can become the official citizen and enjoy all the luxuries in the world!"
"Hmmm... it's not quite good news for other nations and people but since I will be receiving huge loads of rewards. Then deal..."
"Excellent Mr Christoph. You may now start your journey."
Christoph arrived at the front of the black hole.
"How do I enter this?"
"We recommend diving into the black hole like diving into water."
Christoph did as scientists suggested. He can feel the spagettification starting from his fingertips. A massive blinding light covered his whole vision. He felt like he was floating then suddenly the feeling of falling replaces it. His vision was covered in white bright light a while ago but it soon starts to fade. The other warmer colors such as red, yellow and orange begin to appear. He feels warm as well. Then he slowly feels hotter and hotter as the more he "falls".
He feels like his whole body was burning and the falling also becomes faster. But he expects the worse terrors have yet to come. His head was violently shaking. He feels dizzy and starts to see hallucinations. But they were not just mere hallucinations. Sometimes, he felt like something has stabbed his back but the wound is not presents. But he could still feel the pain as the wound was there.
The hallucinations became more and more vivid as they were slowly forming into real monsters. He takes out his exceptionally high quality sword made from advanced technology and starts cutting whatever that appeared in front of his eyes. The sword could cut easily through the things like butter. But the "blackhole" somehow has high speed air resistance which made him harder to swing. He begins to doubt if this was even a real blackhole. They said it was purified. But he still doesn't understand the logic.
Out of nowhere, he suddenly stopped. He didn't feel any inertia. He stopped like he was never been falling. At a few distance, he can see a tiny black sphere.
"Is this the singularity they told me? Wait, I wasn't stopped. Am I slowly approaching toward the sphere? But what would happened if I reach it? Or, should I throw the coin right now? If I throw the coin would I go back? Did they lied to me? I have so many questions."
Chrstoph puzzled for a very very long time...
