Chapter 41: The Trial Of The Orange Crew

(After defeating the Orange Crew Gym Leader.)

(winning the Orange Island League trophy, she is placed in the Hall of Fame with her Pokemon.)

(Mew and her friends are in the house they're staying in for the league.)

(In one of the rooms, Mew is sitting on her bed as she polishes her new Orange Island League trophy.)

(and it lets out a shine as doing so.)

(Eevee and Pikachu are sitting next to her.)

(Mew nods her head with a calm smile and turns to Pikachu and Eevee.)

Mew: "It looks great, huh."

Pikachu: "Pika Pika," (It looks awesome.)

(Pikachu replies.)

(Then Eevee replies.)

Eevee: "Eevee Eevee," (I think it really shines.)

Mew: "I have to agree, but it's also a reminder of how hard we worked on getting this far, and defeating the Orange League,"

(Mew says.)

(Pikachu and Eevee happily nod their heads.)

(Just then, Misty walks in.)

Misty: "Hey Mew, are you ready? We're going to leave soon."

Mew: "I'm ready. I'm just polishing the trophy a bit,"

(Mew says.)

(Then places the trophy in her backpack, and puts it on.)

Misty: "Well, we gotta get going. We still need to get to Pallet Town to give Professor Oak the GS ball,"

(Misty says.)

Mew: "I remember,"

(Mew says.)

(Then points to her backpack.)

Mew: "It's right in here."

Misty: "I know. Now come on, we have to get going,"

(Misty says.)

Mew: "Right,"

(Mew says.)

(Mew and the others take their leave from the place they're staying.)

(and already arrive at the docks, ready to depart.)

Mew: "Alright, everyone ready to head back to Pallet Town?"

(Mew asks.)

Tomo: "We sure are,"

(Tomo says.)

Tracey: "We got everything ready."

(Tracey says.)

Mew: "Alright then, let's head back to Pallet Town,"

(Mew says, and take out Lapras' Pokeball.)

(Before they can leave, they hear a horn of some kind.)

(They look to see a boat is sailing towards the docks.)

Tracey: "Huh. It looks like the ferry is coming over,"

(Tracey says.)

Misty: "I wonder why the ferry is coming here,"

(Misty replies.)

(The group soon notice someone at the bow of the ferry boat.)

(They see a familiar person, one that Jen is so happy to see.)

(Jen is surprised, but grows excited.)

Jen: "Kate!"

Kate: "Hi Jen!" Long time no see!"

(Kate calls out.)

(It's a surprise for them to see Kate riding on the ferry.)

(And suddenly, Rose, Comet, Cosmo, arrive at the bow to see Mew and the others as well.)

(Then Cissy and her brother Senta, Danny, Rudy and his little sister, Mahri, and Luana.)

Mahri: "Hi everyone!"

(Mahri calls out with a smile.)

(This has caught Mew and her friends by surprise, mainly shocked.)

(Not only Kate is here, but the Orange Crew Gym Leaders and their friends they have at the Orange Island.)

(are on the boat as well, and heading this way.)

(Sometime later, after the ferry boat reaches the docks, Kate and the others, including the four Orange Crew members walk down the stairs.)

(Kate is the first to walk down the stairs in front of the ferry and on to the docks.)

(Jen runs up to Kate as she calls out.)

Jen: "Kate!"

Kate: "Jen!"

(Kate happily calls out.)

(The two sisters run to each other and embrace each other into a hug.)

Jen: "It's great to see you sis,"

(Jen happily says.)

Kate: "You too, Jen. I miss you,"

(Kate says.)

(Jen snuggles Kate.)

Jen: "I miss you too, Kate."

(Amaura walks over and happily says.)

Amaura: "Amaura!" (Hi Kate!)

Kate: "Hi Amaura, it's good to see you too,"

(Kate says, and rubs Amaura's head.)

Amaura: "Maur," (You too.)

(Amaura says.)

Mew: "Hi Kate, it's great to see you,"

(Mew says.)

Kate: "Hi Mew, Misty, Tracey, Tomo, it's good to see you guys again,"

(Kate says.)

(Just then, Mahri's voice calls out.)

Mahri: "Misty!"

(They look to see Mahri running towards Misty in excitement.)

Misty: "Hi Mahri, it's great to see you,"

(Misty says.)

Mahri: "It's to see you and the others,"

(Mahri says.)

(Then Rudy walks over.)

Rudy: "Hey Misty, remember me."

Misty: "Hi Rudy,"

(Misty says with a giggle.)

Misty: "I haven't forgotten."

(Senta and Cissy walk down the stairs and meet with the others.)

Cissy: "Hey everyone,"

(Cissy says.)

Mew: "Hi Cissy,"

(Mew says.)

(Then turns to Senta.)

Mew: "You too, Senta."

Senta: "Hi Mew. I saw you take on the Orange League Leader on TV. You were awesome! I can't believe you're able to beat Drake!"

(Senta says, excited.)

(Mew giggles.)

Mew: "Thanks. But Pikachu, Eevee, and my other Pokemon deserve some credits."

Senta: "I know,"

(Senta says with a nod.)

(Then kneels to Eevee and Pikachu.)

Senta: "You two were great too."

Pikachu and Eevee: "Pika/Eev," (Thanks.)

(Pikachu and Eevee happily reply.)

(Danny and Luana meet up with the others as well.)

Luana: "Hey Mew,"

(Luana says.)

Danny: "It's great to see you guys again,"

(Danny says.)

Tomo: "You too Luana,"

(Tomo says.)

Tracey: "It's great to see you too, Danny,"

(Tracey says.)

Mew: "So, what brings you all here?"

(Mew asks, interested.)

Jen: "Yeah. What brings you guys to Pummelo Island?"

(Jen asks.)

???: "They came to challenge me,"

(A familiar voice says.)

(The group turns to see Drake walking towards them.)

Tomo: "HI Drake,"

(Tomo says.)

Mew: "Hello Drake,"

(Mew says.)

(Drake turns to see Mew and the others.)

Drake: "Hello Mew, I can see you and your friends are still here."

Mew: "Yeah. We were planning on leaving, we ended up seeing some of our friends here,"

(Mew says, and turns to the Gym leaders and the others.)

Drake: "I see you all made it,"

(Drake says.)

(This makes Mew and the others confused.)

(Jen asks.)

Jen: "What do you mean?"

Tracey: "Yeah. Why are you all doing on Pummelo Island?"

(Tracey replies.)

(Then Drake says.)

Drake: "I'll explain it from here."

(Then Drake steps forward and has his direction towards Rose, Kate, and Comet.)

Drake: "Rose, Kate, and Comet, welcome to Pummelo Island. As you know, I'm Drake, the leader of the Orange Crew. This is Cissy, the Gym Leader of Mikan Island. Danny, the Navel Island Gym Leader. Rudy the Trovita Island Gym Leader. Lastly, we have Luana, the Gym Leader of Kumquat Island."

(As he calls out each name, each of the Gym Leaders walk over to Drake and stand by him.)

(Mew and the others are rather curious to see what's going on.)

(Then Drake says.)

Drake: "You all decided to come for one reason. To become the official members of the Orange Crew."

(This catches the group by surprise.)

Tracey: "Becoming official members?"

(Tracey says, surprised.)

Misty: "No way. They're really going to do it,"

(Misty says, just as surprised.)

Mew: "Yeah. They're going to become gym leaders of the Orange Island,"

(Mew says.)

(Jen turns to Kate.)

Jen: "Really? You're going to become a Gym Leader?"

Kate: "Yes. Me and the Pokemon have been training hard, and ready to become part of the Orange Crew as a Gym Leader,"

(Kate says.)

Jen: "That's great,"

(Jen happily says.)

Tomo: "Wow. So you guys are trying out to become official Gym Leaders?"

(Tomo asks, excited.)

Comet: "Yeah. My Pokemon and I feel like we're ready to become Gym Leaders of our own Gym,"

(Comet says.)

Rose: "Yeah. My Bug Pokemon and I have trained hard to become the Orange Crew of our representing Gyms."

(Rose says.)

Drake: "And anyone who wants to join the Orange Crew needs to come to Pummelo Island. You see, the island isn't just for the Orange League Competition, it's a place to recruit anyone who wants to become the Orange Crew,"

(Drake says.)

Misty: "That's cool,"

(Misty says.)

(Drake nods his head in reply.)

(Then turns to Kate, Rose, and Comet.)

Drake: "Now then, in order to become official Gym Leaders, you have to prove your devotion to becoming a member of the Orange Crew. Each of you must explain to me the challenge that you will provide in your challenge. Then each of you will give me a name and design of your representing badge. Finally, each of you will compete against me in a 3-on-3 Pokemon battle. The winner will be decided when all three Pokemon from either side are unable to battle."

(Rose, Comet, and Kate nod their heads in reply.)

Drake: "We'll start each telling you your devotion to becoming Gym Leaders. You each introduce yourself, which island you're from, and explain your challenge for your representing island,"

(Drake says.)

(Then turns to Rose.)

Drake: "Rose, we'll start with you."

(Rose steps forward and says.)

Rose: "I'm Rose from Mushi Island. The first part of my challenge is to explore the jungles of the island and reach the battlefield that is by a wide open field where many Bug Pokemon like to go to. Then we'll have a 3-on-3 Pokemon Battle. The trick is, you can only use Bug Pokemon. That way, trainers can learn how to use a specific Type of Pokemon for their battles and gain knowledge on how to use Bug Pokemon."

Drake: "Very interesting and a unique way for trainers to use a certain type of Pokemon,"

(Drake says.)

(Then turns to Kate.)

Drake: "Kate, you're next."

(Kate places Jen down and walks forward.)

Kate: "I'm Kate from Jurassic Island. My challenge is to test a trainer's survival skills just like the people did in ancient times with prehistoric Pokemon roaming around. If you can become friends with some of the Pokemon, they'll lead you to the Battlebattle. And then they'll challenge me with my prehistoric Pokemon."

Drake: "That's an interesting challenge, and it gives trainers a challenge and to learn about living among Prehistoric Pokemon,"

(Drake says.)

(Then turns to Comet.)

Drake: "Now Comet, it's your turn."

(Comet steps forward and says.)

Comet: "My name is Comet, and I'm from Cosmic Island. And my challenge is a bit crazy. You see my Pokemon would abduct the trainer, which were actually my Beheeyem and Reunicles with their Psychic abilities and find their way to the main control room while avoiding the other Pokemon, and have to fight them if they get caught. Once in the control room, is when they get to battle me, and will be using Beheeyem, Reuniclus, and Deoxys. So it will be a Three Pokemom battle. If the trainer can defeat all my Pokemon, they'll win their 'freedom,' and will also get a badge as well."

Mew: "And I still think it's an interesting idea, even if it sounds crazy."

(Mew says.)

Tomo: "Yeah. We sure learned that the hard way,"

(Tomo says.)

(Drake chuckles and says.)

Drake: "Well, that's sure is an out of this world experience. And it will surely give the trainers a very good challenge. I think your challenges will be a good test for both the trainer and Pokemon, and will be able to experience battling with specific Pokemon,"

(Then says.)

Drake: "And now for the second challenge. I need you to give me a design of your badges and a specific one that represents the challenges you're having."

(The three trainers nod their heads in reply.)

(Sometime later, in one of the rental houses, Kate, Rose, and Comet are sketching their ideal badges for their gyms.)

(Mew and the others are in the living room as the group watches them draw.)

Misty: "They sure are working hard, arne't they,"

(Misty replies.)

Tracey: "Well, it's important for them to prove themselves that they can become part of the Orange Crew."

(Tracey says.)

Jen: "I wonder what kind of badges Kate will come up with,"

(Jen replies.)

(Then Cosmo says.)

Cosmo: "Well my brother has a good idea for him, and it's pretty cool."

Tomo: "What is it?"

(Tomo asks.)

Cosmo: "It's a surprise,"

(Cosmo says.)

Misty: "I can't wait to see what kind of badges they come up with,"

(Misty says.)

Mew: "Me too,"

(Mew replies.)

(Sometime later, Kate, Rose, and Comet have finished sketching out their badges and bring them to Drake.)

(Kate is the first to present her sketch of her badge to him.)

(Kate's sketch chooses a picture of a shell spiral fossil-like shell, and it has a light purple gemstone in the center.)

Kate: "This is my badge. It's called the Fossil badge,"

(Kate says.)

Drake: "It's a good representation of the use of prehistoric Pokemon,"

(Drake says.)

(Rose then presents her kind scallop shell and it has a rose pink color gemstone in the center.)

Kate: "This is my badge. It's called the Arthropod Badge,"

(Kate says.)

Drake: "It's an interesting badge, and the shell you use looks good too,"

(Drake says.)

(Comet then presents the design of his badge.)

(His badge looks like a sand dollar shell, and has celestial colored gemstones in the center.)

Comet: "This is the cosmic badge that I made. I used a sand dollar because it is shaped like the moon with a star shape in it. And I used the colored gem to represent the celestial space,"

(Comet says.)

Drake: "I think it looks great. It definitely represents space,"

(Drake says.)

(Then says.)

Drake: "I think you all have done a great job having trouble representing badges. You all pass the first and second challenge with flying colors."

(The three trainers calmly smile and are pleased with their work.)

(Mew and the others are just as pleased.)

(Then Drake says.)

Drake: "And now, it's time for the final challenge."

(Soon enough, everyone is on the battlefield.)

(Mew and her friends, along with Senta, Cosmo, and the other leaders of the Orange Crew are sitting at the bleachers to watch the battle.)

(On the battlefield, there's Drake on one side.)

(Kate, Comet and Rose are on the other side of the battlefield.)

(The referee announces.)

The referee: "Today's battle will be a three on three battle. The gym leader is forbidden to switch Pokémon during battle, but the challenger may switch Pokémon at any time. The winner will be decided when all three Pokemon on either side are unable to battle."

(Soon, the battlefield becomes rocky terrain with a pool in the middle of the field.)

The announcer: "The battle will begin on a rock and water field!"

(The announcer says.)

(Drake turns to the three trainers and calls out.)

Drake: "So, which one wants to go first?"

(Rose steps forward and says.)

Rose: "I'll go first."

Drake: "Fine by me,"

(Drake says.)

Drake: "But just remember, I won't be going easy on you."

Rose: "Alright with me,"

(Rose says.)

(Then the referee announces.)

the referee: "Let the battle begin.

(Rose throws her Pokeball and calls out.)

Rose: "Butterfree, I choose you!"

(And Butterfree comes out of the Pokeball.)

(Drake then calls out.)

Drake: "Rhyhorn, I choose you."

(And Rhyhorn comes out of the Pokeball.)

Misty: "Wow. Drake has a Rhyhorn,"

(Misty says.)

Tracey: "And it looks strong,"

(Tracey says.)

(Drake calls out.)

Drake: "Rhyhorn, use Horn Attack!"

(Rhyhorn begins to charge towards Butterfree.)

(Rose calls out.)

Rose: "Butterfree, dodge!"

(Butterfree quickly flies and dodge the attack.)

(Then Rose calls out.)

Rose: "Butterfree, use Silver Wind!"

(Butterfree then performs the Silver Wind Attack.)

(Rhyhorn is able to stand its ground and struggles to not be blown away by the wind.)

(Then Drake calls out.)

Drake: "Use Stone Edge!"

(Rhyhorn uses Stone Edge and stones rise from the ground.)

(Rose calls out.)

Rose: "Watch out Butterfree!"

(Butterfree begins to dodge the Stone Edge and just barely been hit by one, and pushed back.)

(Luckily, Butterfree is able to remain in the air.)

(Then Rose calls out.)

Rose: "Butterfree, use Sleep Powder!"

(Butterfree swoops down and spreads its Sleep Powder on Rhyhorn, causing it to become a little sleepy.)

Rose: "Now, use Bug Buzz!"

(Rose calls out.)

(Butterfree performs Buzz Buzz, which is kind of a strong attack.)

(That causes Rhyhorn to get blown back and land on the ground.)

(Soon, Rhyhorn is knocked out.)

The referee: "Rhyhorn is unable to battle. Butterfree wins,"

(The referee says.)

Misty: "Alright Rose!"

(Misty cheers.)

Tomo: "You go, Rose!"

(Tomo calls out.)

(Drake calls back Rhyhorn.)

Drake: "Rhyhorn, return."

(And returns his Pokemon to his Pokeball.)

Drake: "You did a good job."

(Rose then calls back Butterfree.)

Rose: "Butterfree return!"

(And Rose calls back Butterfree.)

(Drake takes out his next Pokeball and calls out.)

Drake: "Venusaur, I choose you!"

Rose: "Go Vikavolt!"

(Rose calls out and throws her Pokeball.)

(Venusaur comes out of the Pokeball, while Rose brings out her Vikavolt.)

Rose: "Alright Vikavolt, let's give it everything we got,"

(Rose calls out.)

(Then calls the first attack.)

Rose: "Vikavolt, use Bug Bite!"

(Vikavolt flies over to perform Bug Bite.)

(Then Drake calls out.)

Drake: "Venusaur, use Vine Whip!"

(Venusaur begins to perform Vine Whip and prepares to swat Vikavolt.)

(Vikabolt tries to dodge the attack, but gets swatted by the Vine Whip.)

(Rose calls out.)

Rose: "Vikavolt, are you alright?"

(Vikavolt is able to flap its wings and take flight.)

Rose: "That's good,"

(Rose says.)

(Then Drake calls out.)

Drake: "Venusaur, use Razor Leaf!"

(Venusaur then performs Razor Leaf and flies towards Vikavolt.)

(Rose calls out.)

Rose: "Quick, use Thunderbolt!"

(Vikavolt then performs Thunderbolt and is able to counter the Razor Leaf and they fall to the ground.)

Rose: "Now, use Air Slash!"

(Rose calls out.)

(Vikavolt uses Air Slash and is able to strike at Venusaur, but is still standing.)

Drake: "Now Venusaur, use Solar Beam!"

(Drake calls out.)

(Venausar soon begins to perform Solar Beam and charges up for the attack.)

(Rose calls out.)

Rose: "Vikavolt, use Zap Cannon!"

(Vikavolt soon begins to perform Zap Cannon.)

(At the same time, Venusaur soon begins to perform Solar Beam.)

(Both attacks strike at each other with full force and collide with one another.)

(Soon, both attacks cause an explosion and end up striking both Pokemon as the stadium is covered in smoke.)

(Everyone gasps in shock as they wait for the result.)

(When the smoke clears, both Pokemon have now fallen on the ground and are knocked out.)

(Then the referee calls out.)

the referee: "Both Pokemon are unable to battle. It's a draw."

(Seeing this, it shows that Drake has one Pokemon left while Rose still has two Pokemon left.)

(Rose calls back Vikavolt.)

Rose: "Return Vikavolt."

(Then Vikavolt returns to the Pokeball.)

(She looks at it and says.)

Rose: "You did great, Vikavolt."

Drake: "Return Venusaur,"

(Drake calls back Venusaur in its Pokeball.)

(Then looks at his Pokeball and says.)

Drake: "You did a great job Venusaur."

(At the bleachers, Mew and the others are amazed.)

Misty: "Rose's Pokemon sure is strong,"

(Misty says.)

Mew: "Yeah. And she only has one more to beat Drake,"

(Mew says.)

Tomo: "Rose is great,"

(Tomo says.)

(At the battlefield, Rose brings out her Pokeball and calls out.)

Rose: "Now, go Orbeetle!"

(Then Orbeetle comes out of the Pokeball.)

(Drake then throws his Pokeball and calls out.)

Drake: "Go Electabuzz!"

(And Electabuzz comes out of the Pokeball.)

(The referee announces.)

The referee: "Let the battle begin!"

(Rose makes the first move.)

Rose: "Orbeetle, use Agility!"

(Orbeetle flies in the air and performs Agility.)

(Drake calls out.)

Drake: "Electabuzz, use Thunderbolt!"

(Electabuzz performs Thunderbolt and tries to strike at Orbeetle.)

(Rose calls out.)

Rose: "Quick, dodge!

(Orbeetle begins dodging the attack.)

(Then Rose Calls out.)

Rose: "Orbeetle, use Psybeam!"

(Orbeetle performs Psybeam and is able to strike at Electabuzz with a good amount of damage.)

(Then Drake calls out.)

Drake: "Electabuzz, use Thunder Punch!"

(Electabuzz begins to perform Thunder Punch from its fist and swings it towards Orbeetle.)

(Rose quickly calls out.)

Rose: "Quick Orbeetle, use Light Screen!"

(Orbeetle performs Light Screen before Electabuzz can strike.)

(Electabuzz performs Thunder Punch and strikes at the Light Screen, but it's proven to be strong.)

(Electabuzz performs another Thunder Punch, but the Light Screen isn't breaking.)

(Rose then calls out.)

Rose: "Orbeetle, use Bug Buzz"

(Orbeetle then begins to perform Bug Buzz and is able to perform it and strikes at Electabuzz with full force.)

(It pushes Electabuzz and it falls to the ground.)

(Soon, Electabuzz is knocked out.)

The referee: "Electabuzz is unable to battle. Orbeetle wins. And so the victor goes to Rose of Mushi Island,"

(The referee announces.)

(Mew and the others cheer with excitement to see Rose has won her match.)

"Tracey: That was a great battle,"

(Tracey says.)

Misty: "Rose was great,"

(Misty says.)

Jen: "And now she's a gym leader,"

(Jen happily says.)

(Both trainers call back their Pokemons.)

Rose: "You did great Orbeetle,"

(Rose says.)

(Drake looks at his Pokeball and says.)

Drake: "You did great, Electabuzz."

(Then turns to Rose.)

Drake: "And Rose, you've really proven your battling style with Bug Type Pokemon. Congratulations."

Rose: "Thanks Drake,"

(Rose says.)

(Sometime later, the next battle is taking place.)

(This time, Drake is battling against Kate, Jen's older sister.)

(This time, the battlefield has been changed to a rather grassy field.)

(Mew and the others watch eagerly to see Jen's big sister is challenging Drake to become an official gym leader.)

(Jen calls out.)

Jen: "We're rooting for you sis."

Mew: "You can do it, Kate,"

(Mew calls out.)

(Kate calls out.)

Kate: "Thanks."

(The referee waves the flag as he shouts.)

The referee: "Let the battle begin."

(Kate is the first to call out.)

Kate: "Aerodactyl, I choose you!"

Drake: "I choose you, Gengar!"

(Drake says, and calls out his Pokemon.)

(Soon, Gengar and Aerodactyl enter the battlefield.)

(Kate calls out the first move.)

Kate: "Aerodactyl, use Wing Attack!"

(Aerodactyl begins to use Wing Attack as its first attack.)

(Drake calls out.)

Drake: "Gengar, dodge and use Shadow Ball!"

(Gengar begins to use the first attack and throws the Shadow Ball at Aerodactyl.)

(Kate calls out.)

Kate: "Quick dodge."

(Aerodactyl quickly dodge the attack.)

Kate: "Now, use Iron Head!"

(Kate calls out.)

(Aerodactyl then performs Iron Head and is able to strike at Gengar with force.)

(Drake then calls out.)

Drake: "Use Dark Pulse!"

(Gengar then begins to perform Dark Pulse and is able to strike at Aerodactyl, and falls to the grassy field.)

(Luckily, Aerodactyl is able to stand and spread its wings and take to the skies.)

Drake: "Use Night Shade!"

(Drake calls out.)

Kate: "Use Hyper Beam!"

(Kate calls out.)

(Gengar and Aerodactyl perform their attacks and they collide with one another.)

(Soon, Hyper Beam takes over the Night Shade and strikes at Gengar with full force.)

(The referee announces.)

The referee: "Gengar is unable to battle, Aerodactyl is the winner."

Kate: "Alright,"

(Kate cheers.)

(Jen cheers.)

Jen: "You go sis!"

Tracey: "Wow. Kate's Aerodactyl is strong,"

(Tracey says.)

Misty: "Really strong,"

(Misty says.)

(They watch as the trainer calls back their Pokemon.)

(Drake has two Pokemon left, while Kate still has three Pokemon at hand.)

(Drake throws his Pokeball and calls out.)

Drake: "Onix, I choose you."

Kate: "Armaldo, I choose you!"

(Kate calls out and throws her Pokeball.)

(With that, Onix and Armaldo come out of their Pokeball.)

(Armaldo is a bipedal, amphibious Pokémon that somewhat resembles a mantis shrimp.)

(It is covered with thick, grayish-blue plates.)

(There are accents of yellow, black, white, and red throughout its body.)

(Its oblong eyes protrude from the sides of its head.)

(A black pattern with two red, teardrop-shaped spots covered the center of its head and a yellow lower jaw.)

(Three pairs of wing-like appendages extend from the sides of its long, thick neck.)

(A plate of armor on its back has four short spikes and two triangular, yellow-rimmed wings extending from underneath.)

Misty: "What is that Pokemon?"

(Misty asks.)

Mew: "It's an Armaldo,"

(Mew calls out.)

(She brings out her Pokedex and Dexter says.)

Dexter: "Armaldo, the Plate Pokemon and the evolved form of Anorith. A Rock and Bug Type. Armaldo's tough armor makes all attacks bounce off. These Pokémon's two enormous claws can be freely extended or contracted. They have the power to punch right through a steel slab."

Tracey: "That's amazing,"

(Tracey says.)

Mew: "Yeah. Your Anorith is going to become that when it evolves,"

(Mew says.)

Misty: "I guess so,"

(Misty replies.)

Tracey: "It's going to be difficult. Both of them are rock types,"

(Tracey says.)

Jen: "Don't worry, Kate's Armaldo is really strong,"

(Jen says.)

(Soon, the battle begins.)

(Drake calls out the first move.)

Drake: "Onix, use Rock Throw!"

(Onix then performs Rock Throw at Armaldo.)

(Kate calls out.)

Kate: "Armaldo uses Metal Claw!"

(Armaldo then performs Metal Claw and cuts through all the Rocks being thrown in its path.)

Misty: "Wow. Kate's Armaldo is strong,"

(Misty says, amazed.)

Tomo: "It cut the Rocks with no problem,"

(Tomo says.)

(Drake then calls out.)

Drake: "Onix, sue Dig."

(Onix then digs under the ground.)

(Armaldo looks around as it tries to predict.)

(Kate is also doing the same.)

(Just then, the ground begins to show cracks as the ground begins to shake from under Armaldo.)

(Kate cries out.)

Kate: "Armaldo, watch out!"

(Armaldo tries to move out of the way as Onix rises from the ground.)

(Armaldo is thrown forward as it tries to run away and lands on the ground.)

(Armaldo tries to get up after the impact.)

(Drake then calls out.)

Drake: "Now, use Bind!"

(Onix then uses its Bind Attack, and coils its body around Armaldo, and begins crushing it a bit.)

(Kate calls out.)

Kate: "Armaldo quick, use Aqua Jet!"

(Despite being bound, Armaldo performs Aqua Jet as hard as it can.)

(and is able to break free and strikes Onix under the jaw and sends it back.)

(Then Kate calls out.)

Kate: "Now, use Metal Claw!"

(Armaldo charges and strikes at Onix with Metal Claw, and strikes at Onix with full force.)

Kate: "Now, use Aqua Tail!"

(Kate calls out.)

(Then Armaldo strikes at Onix with Aqua Tail, and Onix has fallen unconscious, and knocked out.)

(The referee says.)

The referee: "Onix is unable to battle, Armaldo wins."

Misty: "Alright Kate!"

(Misty cheers.)

Jen: "One more and Kate wins,"

(Jen happily says.)

(Then both trainers call back their Pokemon and glad they have done a good job with the battle.)

(Now Drake has one Pokemon left and Kate still has three.)

(Drake then calls out.)

Drake: "Magmar I choose you."

(And Magmar enters the battlefield.)

Mew: "A Magmar, huh. I didn't know he had one,"

(Mew says.)

Tomo: "It looks strong,"

(Tomo says.)

Misty: "I wonder what Kate will use,"

(Misty replies.)

(Kate throws her Pokeball and calls out.)

Kate: "Go Mamoswine!"

(And Kate's Mamoswine enters the battlefield.)

(It's a large, quadrupedal Pokémon resembling a wooly mammoth crossed with a boar.)

(Its brown fur is very thick to endure harsh cold and protect from snow and ice.)

(Its tusks, which are smaller on a female Mamoswine than on a male, are made of pure, solid ice.)

(Mamoswine has a blue mask-like pattern with a white rim around its face and eyes, resembling ski goggles.)

(The fur on its muzzle is tan and shaggy, and its nose resembles that of a pig.)

(Mamoswine's feet are black with three thick toes, and its tail is small.)

Misty: "It's big,"

(Misty says, surprised.)

Tracey: "And hairy,"

(Tracey says.)

Tomo: "I remember that Pokemon. It's the one I play with you and Kate,"

(Tomo says.)

Jen: "Yeah. Mamoswine is a good buddy of ours. I remember meeting it when it was a Piloswine,"

(Jen says.)

(Mew brings out her Pokedex and Dexter says.)

Dexter: "Mamoswine, the Twin Tusk Pokemon. An Ice and Ground Type. Its impressive tusks are made of ice. The ice age is over and the climate has warmed, so this Pokémon's population has thinned."

Misty: "This battle is getting interesting,"

(Misty says.)

Mew: "And it won't be easy. Mamoswine is an Ice Type so they're weak against Fire Types,"

(Mew says.)

Tracey: "I have to agree, but Mamoswine looks strong as well. Let's see what happens,"

(Tracey says.)

(Kate calls out.)

Kate: "Mamoswine, use Powder Snow!"

(Mamoswine then begins to use Powder Snow.)

(Drake calls out.)

Drake: "Magmar dodge and use Fire Spin!"

(Magmar dodges the attack, and performs Fire Spin.)

(Kate calls out.)

Kate: "Quick, use Blizzard!"

(Mamoswine performs Blizzard to stop Magmar in its tracks, but it doesn't have effect.)

(Then Magmar strikes at Mamoswine hard and pushes it back.)

Kate: "Mamoswine are you alright?!"

(Kate calls out.)

(Mamoswine nods its head in reply.)

Kate: "That's good. Now then, give it your Take Down Attack!"

(Kate calls out.)

(Mamoswine then charges at Magmar.)

(Then Drake calls out.)

Drake: "Magmar, use Fire Punch!"

(Magmar then begins to perform Fire Punch as it charges at Mamoswine.)

Kate: "Use Ice Fang!"

(Kate calls out.)

(Mamoswine begins to perform Ice Fang as it charges towards Magmar.)

(Then Magmar throws the Fire Punch as Mamoswine tries to bite it down.)

(Magmar, soon able to push Mamoswine away with the Fire Punch, Mamoswine is still standing.)

(Then Drake calls out.)

Drake: "Magmar, use Flamethrower!"

Kate: "Mamoswine, use Stone Edge!"

(Kate calls out.)

(Magmar performs Flamethrower as Mamoswine performs Stone Edge.)

(Stone Edge is proven to be stronger and able to strike at Magmar with strong effects.)

Kate: "Now, use Take Down!"

(Kate calls out.)

(Mamoswine then charges and strikes at Magmar with full force.)

(Soon, Magmar is knocked out.)

(The referee annonces.)

The referee: "Magmar is unable to battle so Mamoswine wins. And the victor goes to Kate."

(Kate cheers.)

Kate: "Yes."

(Mew and the others, especially Jen, cheer happily for Kate's victory.)

Misty: "That was cool,"

(Misty says.)

Tomo: "Mamoswine really pulled through in that battle,"

(Tomo replies.)

(Soon, they see Drake and Kate call back their Pokemon in their Pokeballs.)

(Kate smiles and says.)

Kate: "You did a great job Mamoswine. Armaldo, and Aerodactyl too."

(Then Drake looks at Magmar's Pokeball.)

Drake: "you did a good job, Magmar."

(Then turns to Kate.)

Drake: "And you did a good job as well. It's clear that you raised these prehistoric Pokemon very well."

Kate: "Thanks Drake,"

(Kate says.)

(Sometime later, after the match.)

(Kate and Rose are sitting with Mew and the others.)

(Jen is very happy that Kate is now going to become an official gym leader of Jurassic Island.)

(Now, it's time for Comet to have his battle against Drake, to prove he can become a Gym Leader as well.)

(Cosmo happily says.)

Cosmo: "I'm really excited. It's Comet's turn."

Mew: "Yeah. It will be great to see Deoxys, Reuniclus, and Beheeyem,"

(Mew says.)

Tomo: "Yeah. I'm sure my Deoxys will be happy to see its friend again,"

(Tomo says.)

Tracey: "We can wait until after the battle,"

(Tracey says.)

Tomo: "Sure,"

(Tomo replies.)

(Soon, they see the battlefield is on icy terrain.)

(Drake and Comet are now ready to battle.)

(The referee waves the flags and announces.)

The referee: "Ler the battle commence."

(Comet calls out.)

Comet: "Reuniclus, I choose you."

Drake: "Go Jynx!"

(Drake calls out.)

(And with that, Jynx and Reuniclus come out of their Pokeballs and onto the battlefield.)

Mew: "This is going to be interesting. Considering they're both Psychic Type Pokemon,"

(Mew says.)

Misty: "Psychic vs. Psychic,"

(Misty replies.)

Tracey: "Let's see what happens."

(Tracey says.)

(Drake makes the first move.)

Drake: "Jynx, use Powder Snow!"

(Jynx then performs Powder Snow.)

(Then Comet calls out.)

Comet: "Reuniclus, use Protect!"

(Reuniclus uses Protect and is able to protect itself from the snow.)

Comet: "Now, use Psywave!"

(Comet calls out.)

(Reuniclus then performs Psywave.)

Drake: "Jynx, dodge!"

(Drake calls out.)

(Jynx dodges the attack by teleporting and appears close to Reuniclus.)

(Then Drake calls out.)

Drake: "Now, use Double Slap!"

(Jynx then performs Double Slap and slaps Reuniclus multiple times.)

Comet: "Quick use, use Zen Headbutt!"

(Comet calls out.)

(Reuniclus then performs Zen Headbutt and is able to strike at Jynx with full force.)

(Jynx is pushed back, but is still able to get up.)

Drake: "Jynx, use Focus Punch!"

(Jynx then uses Focus Punch and is able to strike Reuniclus with force.)

Drake: "Hyper Voice!"

(Jynx falls to the ground and is knocked out.)

(Then Comet calls it back.)

(Drake then calls back Jynx and says.)

Drake: "Ditto, I choose you.

Comet: "Go Beheeyem!"

(Comet calls out and throws his next Pokeball.)

(And Ditto transforms into Beheeyem.)

(Mew and the others look to see Ditto has transformed and think the battle is going to get interesting.)

Comet: "Beheeyem, use Psybeam!"

(Drake calls out.)

Drake: "Ditto, use Teleport!"

(Ditto teleports as Beheeyem uses Psybeam, and it misses.)

(Then Ditto appears close to Beheeyem.)

(Then Drake calls out.)

Drake: "Ditto, use Hidden Power!"

(Ditto then performs Hidden Power and is able to strike at Beheeyem with strong effect.)

(Beheeyem is soon pushed back and falls to the ground.)

(It still has some fight and is able to stand and levitate itself.)

(Then Comet calls out.)

Comet: "Beheeyem, use Psychic!"

(Beheeyem then performs Psychic towards Ditto.)

(Then Drake calls out.)

Drake: "Ditto, use Light Screen!"

(Ditto performs Light Screen and is able to counter the Psychic Attack.)

(Then Comet calls out.)

Comet: "Beheeyem, use Hyper Beam!"

Drake: "Ditto, use Hyper Beam too!"

(Drake calls out.)

(Then both Pokemon use Hyper Beam and they both collide with one another.)

(That ends up causing an explosion and they're being pushed back from the blast and the battlefield has been covered in smoke.)

(When the smoke clears, it is revealed that Beheeyem is knocked out.)

(Ditto is also knocked out as it reverts back to its original form.)

(The referee calls out.)

The referee: "Both Pokemon are unable to battle."

(Drake calls back Ditto.)

Drake: "Ditto, return."

Comet: "Return Beheeyem,"

(Comet calls back to its Pokeball.)

(Comet looks at his Pokeball and says.)

Comet: "You did a great job."

(Drake looks at him and says.)

Drake: "You did a good job, Ditto."

(Then brings out his last Pokeball.)

Drake: "Now, save the best for last."

(He throws his Pokeball and calls out.)

Drake: "Go Dragonite!"

(And Dragonite comes out of the Pokeball.)

(Then Dragonite lets out a roar.)

(Comet brings out his Pokeball.)

Comet: "I know it's a risk, but I plan to use it for last."

(Comet then throws his Pokeball.)

Comet: "Reuniclus, Go!"

(And Reuniclus comes out of its Pokeball.)

(And with that, the battle begins.)

(Comet calls the first move.)

Comet: "Reuniclus, use Psybeam!"

(Reuniclus begins to perform Psybeam.)

(Drake calls out.)

Drake: "Dragonite, use Ice Beam!"

(Dragonite then performs Ice Beam and it counters the Psybeam Attack, shocking Comet and Reuniclus.)

(Comet calls out.)

Comet: "Use Zen Headbutt!"

(Reuniclus then performs Zen Headbutt and charges towards Dragonite.)

(Drake calls out.)

Drake: "Use Skull Bash!"

(Dragonite then performs Skull Bash, and ends up countering the Zen Headbutt and strikes at Reuniclus hard and sends it flying.)

(Then Dragonite calls out.)

Dragonite: "Now, use Thunderbolt!"

(Dragonite performs Thunderbolt and strikes at Reuniclus and it cause a lot of effect.)

(It's enough to knock Reuniclus out.)

(The referee announces.)

The referee: "Reuniclus is unable to battle."

(And with that, Drake only has Dragonite left while Comet still has one Pokemon left to win this match.)

(At the stands, Mew and the others look to see how the match is going.)

Tracey: "Drake and Comet are pretty strong. And now Comet has one Pokemon left. Same as Drake,"

(Tracey says.)

Misty: "And since Drake is using Dragonite, I wonder if whatever Pokemon Comet is going to use will have a chance,"

(Misty says.)

Cosmo: "Don't worry, I know Comte can beat him,"

(Cosmo says.)

Mew: "I agree. You remember one of the Pokemon that Comet has, right?"

(Mew replies.)

Jen: "I remember. Comet has Deoxys, but will it be strong enough to beat Dragonite,"

(Jen replies.)

Tracey: "We'll have to wait and see what happens,"

(Tracey says.)

(Comet returns his Pokemon to his Pokeball, then looks at it.)

Comet: "You did your best. Get some good rest."

(Then Comet brings out his last Pokeball.)

Comet: "And you're the only chance I got."

(He throws his Pokeball and calls out.)

Comet: "Deoxys, I choose you."

(And with a throw of his Pokeball, Deoxys is out of its Pokeball.)

Cosmo: "Alright Deoxys is on the battlefield. This is going to be exciting,"

(Cosmo says, excited.)

(Comet calls out.)

Comet: "Ready Deoxys, this will be your first official battle. I know you can do it."

(Deoxys nods its head in reply.)

(Drake says to himself.)

Drake: "Deoxys, huh. This will prove to be quite the challenge."

(The referee informs the trainers.)

The referee: "Begin battle."

(Comet calls out.)

Comet: "Let's go Deoxys."

(Deoxys levitates and dashes to Dragonite.)

Drake: "Let's do it, Dragonite!"

(Drake calls out.)

(Dragonite roars and flies towards Deoxys.)

(Comet calls out.)

Comet: "Deoxys, use Swift Attack!"

(Deoxys then begins to use Swift Attack.)

(Drake calls out.)

Drake: "Dragonite, use Agility to dodge!"

(Dragonite then uses Agility as it flies and dodges the Swift Attack with ease.)

(Then Drake calls out.)

Drake: "Use Thunderbolt!"

(Dragonite then performs Thunderbolt.)

(Comet calls out.)

Comet: "Quick, use Iron Defense!"

(Deoxys just then changes form and uses Iron Defense to defend itself from the attack.)

(To Mew and the other's surprise, Deoxys changes form.)

Mew: "Wow. Deoxys change forms,"

(Mew says, surprised.)

Jen: "That's amazing,"

(Jen replies.)

(Then Deoxys changes its form back to its original form.)

(Then Dragonite takes to the sky.)

(Then Comet calls out.)

Comet: "Deoxys, use Zen Headbutt!"

Drake: "Dragonite, use Skull Bash!"

(Drake calls out.)

(Deoxys perform Zen Headbutt while Dragonite perform Skull Bash.)

(They both strike their attacks at the head and push at each other.)

(They try to get the upper hand against one another, but neither one budges.)

(Soon, they end up being pushed back, but are still in the air.)

(Then Drake calls out.)

Drake: "Use Dragon Rage!"

(Dragonite then performs Dragon Rage and flies towards Deoxys.)

(Comet calls out.)

Comet: "Deoxys, transform to Attack Form!"

(Deoxys transforms to Attack Form.)

(Then Comet calls out.)

Comet: "Now, Zap Cannon!"

(Deoxys then performs to Zap Cannon and fires at the Dragon Rage.)

(The Zap Cannon counters the Dragon Rage and aims at Dragonite.)

(Drake calls out.)

Drake: "Dragonite, dodge and use Ice Beam!"

(Dragonite quickly dodge the attack and use Ice Beam.)

(Seeing the attack, Deoxys quickly dodges the attack.)

Comet: "Use Hyper Beam!"

(Comet calls out.)

(Deoxys then performs Hyper Beam and is able to blast Dragonite square on.)

(as Dragonite performs another Ice Beam and ends up hitting Deoxys at its leg and loses control.)

(Soon, they both crash to the ground.)

(Everyone waits for the result as they see both Pokemon on the ground.)

(Soon, they see both Deoxys and Dragonite struggle to get up and are standing on their feet.)

(However, Dragonite ends up falling and collapses on the ground, and is knocked out.)

(Seeing the results, the referee announces.)

the referee: "Dragonite is unable to battle, Deoxys wins. And the victor goes to Comet."

(Cosmo, Mew, and the others cheer in excitement that Comet has also won his match as well.)

(Comet is just as happy.)

Comet: "We won. We really won."

(Deoxys then lands on its bottom in exhaustion, but is still conscious.)

(Comet walks up and kneels to Deoxys.)

(He rubs it on the head and says.)

Comet: "You did a great job, Deoxys. That was an amazing battle you did."

(Deoxys nods its head and leans to Comet with a calm and yet, happy expression.)

(Drake returns Dragonite to its Pokeball and smiles.)

Drake: "you did a great job out there Dragonite. You deserve to have a good rest."

(After the three battles, outside of the stadium, Drake along with the other Gym Leaders are in front of Kate, Rose, and Comet.)

(Drake says.)

Drake: "Kate, Rose, Comet, you've all proven that you all have what it takes to become part of the Orange Crew. And so, we're all happy to say that you all pass the challenges with flying colors, and are now officially part of the Orange Crew as official Gym Leaders."

(Mew and the others clap for their friends who are now official gym leaders.)

(Jen, and Cosmo are especially happy to see their older siblings are now Gym Leaders of their own gym of their representing island.)

(They've been given the badges they need for trainers and everything that they need to know about running a gym.)

(After the little ceremony, everyone is at the docks where Mew and the others are going to depart.)

Cosmo: "So where are you all healing now?"

(Cosmo asks.)

Mew: "We're heading back to Pallet Town in the Kanto Region,"

(Mew says.)

Misty: "We're heading back to Mew's Hometown,"

(Misty says.)

Rudy: "That's long ways away,"

(Rudy says.)

Misty: "Yeah, but maybe someday we'll come back for a visit,"

(Misty says.)

Mahri: "Will you be able to come back?"

(Mahri asks.)

Misty: "Don't worry, we'll come by someday,"

(Misty says.)

(Tomo then says.)

Tomo: "Hey Kate, when I ten, I can't wait to travel to the Orange Islands and challenge your gym."

Jen: "Me too,"

(Jen happily says.)

(Then turns to Amaura.)

Jen: "I'm sure Amaura would love to challenge your gym, right."

Amaura: "Amaura,"

(Amaura happily replies.)

Tomo: "And I'm sure Tyrunt would love to battle your gym,"

(Tomo says.)

(Kate giggles and says.)

Kate: "And I'll be sure to have a badge for each of you. After beating my challenges of course."

Jen: "Yeah,"

(Jen says.)

(Then hugs Kate.)

Jen: "I'm going to miss you sis."

Kate: "I'll miss you too,"

(Kate says, and gives Jen a hug.)

Kate: "And I actually got a present for you."

Jen: "What is it?"

(Jen asks.)

(Kate removes her backpack, opens it, and takes out a light brown color Pokemon egg with four or five dark brown stripes on the top.)

Jen: "A Pokemon Egg?"

(Jen asks, excited.)

Kate: "That's right. I think it will be good practice for you to take care of your own Pokemon Egg and raise it when it hatches,"

(Kate says.)

Jen: "Thanks Kate, you're the best,"

(Jen says and hugs Kate.)

(Kate giggles in reply.)

(Tomo then turns to Comet and Cosmo.)

Tomo: "And I'm sure Deoxys would love to challenge your gym."

Comet: "Glad to hear it. I'm sure, both of our Deoxys would love to battle each other,"

(Comet says.)

Cosmo: "That I can't wait to see,"

(Cosmo says.)

Jen: "Me too,"

(Jen says.)

(Tracey says to Rose.)

Tracey: "I'm glad that you and the others are now official gym leaders."

Rose: "Thanks. I hope that you can come by Mushi Island to check out the gym,"

(Rose says.)

Mew: "Maybe we will. We hope we can visit the Orange Islands,"

(Mew says.)

(Soon, Mew and the others are riding on Lapras as they say their goodbyes to Drake, the other Orange Crew Members, Kate, Rose, Comet, and Cosmo.)
