Ye Jin's knees buckled, and her vision blurred as the strength drained from her body. She crumpled to the ground as the mist dissipated back into the air.
Dion, looking at her already unconscious self, knelt beside her, his cold gaze studying her. "Not bad," he murmured, his voice softer. "You have spirit; I'll give you that. But you will need more training if your mana core is going to be strong enough."
Dion flicked his wrist, and the black mist coiled around her, lifting her limp body.
"Rest now. You'll need your strength."

Ye Jin's breath had become heavy. She was back in the training ground, face-to-face with Dion. His dark mist swirled around her; however, this time, it coiled around her neck like a serpent.
Her hands clawed at the mist, desperate to pry it off, but it only tightened, strangling her. Her vision was becoming blurry as she felt life being sucked away from her.
