章節 13: Chapter 12

Otherworld, Grand Bahamar

Just when Gin was about to be devoured by the Kōtotsu in the Dangai, the dimensional travel system finally completed its activation. At that very moment, Gin's body was shattered into pieces by the Kōtotsu.

Since a Shinigami's body is composed of spiritual particles, part of Gin's spirit particles descended into this so-called otherworld—Grand Bahamar.

As a Shinigami, Gin's body was entirely made of spiritual particles. Upon arriving in this world, his body was reconstructed, emerging as a native of this world.

"I am the God of the Otherworld. As a transferred individual, I can grant you one ability to aid your survival in this harsh world."

Upon arriving in the otherworld, the first voice Gin heard was not from the system but from the so-called "God of the Otherworld."

Though Gin didn't understand why the God of the Otherworld spoke his native language, he was relieved to comprehend it.

Embracing the mentality that it would be foolish not to take advantage of a free gift, Gin promptly expressed his desire.

"I want to possess the greatest power in this world, an unmatched strength to defeat anyone I encounter!"

When asked what kind of ability he wanted, it was akin to making a wish. Naturally, Gin wouldn't hold back.

God of the Otherworld: "..."

After hearing Gin's request, the God of the Otherworld was momentarily speechless. It became evident that this so-called deity was similar to the system and that Gin's wish exceeded its capabilities.

Seeking invincible power? Where would that leave the gods, demon kings, and dragon kings of this world?

Although it was a cheat, the power granted couldn't be too overwhelming, or it would disrupt the world's balance.

Realizing his request might have been too excessive, Gin quickly adjusted his wish, "Since this is a world of swords and magic, there must be magic and mana. I wish to have immense mana and a body immune to magic. Is that possible?"

The God of the Otherworld was genuinely exasperated by Gin's second request. If it were more than a guiding entity, it would have probably smacked Gin upside the head by now.

"No, the first request was beyond its limits. Gin was simply too greedy!"

"Your second request contains two abilities: immense mana and magic immunity. I can only grant you one."

After a moment's hesitation, Gin chose 'magic immunity' from the God of the Otherworld.

This decision was made after careful consideration. Having immense mana didn't guarantee exceptional magic skills—like having a supercar without knowing how to drive. But 'magic immunity' was different; it made him a formidable opponent against magic users.

Additionally, according to the system that facilitated his transfer, his spiritual pressure would convert to this world's power system.

Even if his magical talent was lacking, his swordsmanship combined with his new 'magic immunity' would provide substantial self-defense, if not dominance.

After granting Gin the ability to survive in this world, the "God of the Otherworld" disappeared. Gin, who wanted to ask more about the world, was left speechless by the deity's irresponsibility.

Gin found himself in a forest, knowing nothing about this new world. The system he brought along seemed to only facilitate dimensional travel. During its activation, Gin's body was shattered by the Kōtotsu...

This caused his spirit particles to scatter across various worlds, and he ended up in this one.

There was no choice but to gather basic information, and for that, he needed to find other intelligent beings.

After wandering the forest for two days, Gin had slain numerous magical beasts but had yet to encounter any humans or intelligent creatures.

"Even without a map, if I keep moving in one direction, I should eventually exit this forest!"

The forest wasn't that vast, and Gin's failure to escape it in two days was due to his poor sense of direction.

"Are you robbers? I'll give you money, just let me go."

"What's this orc saying? Trying to bribe us with some papers?"

"Have orc become this smart? This one's even begging for his life. Must be a rare breed."

"If we capture him, we could sell him for a good price."

While wandering, Gin finally heard human voices. He stealthily approached the source and saw a few men.

Three men, dressed like adventurers, were beating up another man who looked human but was pleading for mercy.

Despite the beaten man's claims of being human, the adventurers didn't believe him due to his peculiar appearance.

In a world of beautiful people, his looks were not just ordinary but outright odd. Thus, despite his protests, they assumed he was a rare, talking beastman, considering selling him for a hefty profit.

Orcs were common in this world, but a talking orc was a rarity, fetching a high price.
