Daniel remained silent until he hit his four way signal and slowed to allow a farmer's truck to speed past before he continued further down the main road.

It was just as he thought when he saw the car up ahead slow down and was not allowed to pass through the blockade.

"Zen, just tell me what is going on?"

He knew that Zen had deliberately placed himself in the middle so that Lithe would have reason to have any contact with Daniel.

No doubt he probably wished that he could sink into the seat so that he could avoid having this conversation with Lithe.

Still, when your lover is model tall, burly and sits in the middle it's hard to act invisible so this was a conversation could not avoid with his true mate. 

Not to be ignored Lithe poked him annoyingly in the thigh while he repeated, "what's going on?"

Zen sighed before he turned to look at Lithe, "if anything happens to me, just run away."
