章節 46: Kami's Scheme

"Although I am Earth's Kami and indeed have the ability to watch over the entire planet, based on the information you provided, the range is far too vast. Even if I could find him, it would not be something I could accomplish in a short amount of time."

Kami gave a tactful response.

Upon hearing this, Gine immediately became anxious.

It was clear that even though she had arrived on Earth, she still had no idea how to find her son.

She felt like a failure, but there was truly nothing she could do.

If Kakarot had the ability to take care of himself, if he had some strength, they could sweep across the Earth forcefully, and they could definitely find him in a short time.

In fact, once Kakarot learned of their presence, he might even come to find them on his own.

Unfortunately, he was still young. Even though he was already over a year old, he was only a bit stronger than an ordinary Earthling child.

The atmosphere grew heavy. Kami, seemingly afraid of something unpredictable happening, spoke again, "Why not give me some time? It would be best if I can find him. If that proves impossible, I can also assist you in other ways to search for him."

Such a sincere offer would be accepted by anyone who heard it.

"Time is not really an issue, since we plan to stay on Earth for a while. However, the sooner we can find him, the better," Talot said, somewhat reluctantly.

If he didn't say anything at this point, Gine's emotions would certainly influence everyone.

There was even a high possibility that her suppressed feelings would completely explode.

Since Planet Vegeta's destruction up until today, Gine had been under immense pressure. If not for the hope that sustained her, she might have already broken down.

It could only be said that some things require time to heal, and right now, the time just hasn't been long enough.

With his words, Kami breathed a sigh of relief, and Gine looked toward Talot, accepting the situation for now.

Although she didn't understand why Talot trusted this Namekian Kami, she knew that Talot was a careful person who wouldn't trust someone for no reason.

If she knew Talot's true thoughts at this moment, she might have been devastated.

That's why Talot was being extra cautious with everything he did.

"Since you plan to stay on Earth for a while and I'll be helping you search for the child named Kakarot, perhaps during this time, you could reside at the Lookout. It would make it easier for us to communicate at any time," Kami suddenly suggested.

He invited Talot's group to stay at the Lookout.

Gine and Salari didn't think too much about it, naturally seeing the offer as convenient.

Only Talot understood that Kami was trying to keep them under control.

Letting them stay at the Lookout was undoubtedly a way to prevent them from causing trouble on Earth, while also using the opportunity to learn more about them and gather information.

Of course, even if there was some ulterior motive, Talot didn't mind.

As someone who had crossed over to this world, he understood Kami's nature well.

This old man wouldn't trust them easily just based on a few words. Ultimately, Kami was simply trying to minimize any unforeseen incidents.

"For now, we can stay here. After all, we don't have a clear objective, and we don't know much about Earth."

"Can you prepare some rooms for us, and let us freshen up? Six months of space travel—it's been rough," Talot remarked casually.

Hearing this, Kami smiled warmly and turned to look at Popo. "That's a small matter. Mr. Popo, go ahead and prepare everything. Consider it our way of welcoming them."

"As you wish, Kami-sama. I'll go prepare immediately," Popo said respectfully before quickly leaving.

Time passed in the blink of an eye, and more than an hour had gone by.

After freshening up, Talot, Gine, and Salari finally felt truly refreshed.

Now, they were tasting the food made by Popo, and it was so delicious they could hardly believe it.

Gine and Salari were especially delighted, as they had never tasted anything this good before.

On the other hand, Talot was on the verge of tears—this was real food, food for humans.

Unconsciously, he began to reminisce about the various delicious dishes from his previous life. It had been six years since he came to this world, and only now did he taste something similar again.

After eating their fill, Talot and the others lay sprawled out for a long time before they finally got up for some light exercise.

Light exercise?!

Yes!

But what was considered light exercise for Talot and the others was terrifying from Kami and Popo's perspective.

They moved so fast that Kami and Popo couldn't even see them. Especially the kicks and punches—if they were the ones taking the hits, a single blow would probably be enough to kill them.

The existence of the Saiyans had completely shattered Kami and Popo's worldview.

Terrifying!

That was their shared thought.

As time passed and the exercise ended, Talot and the others finally relaxed.

The warm energy flowing through their bodies could only be described with two words: pure comfort!

"Talot, you still haven't said why you decided to trust this Namekian Kami," Gine asked, sitting on the cool platform steps, gazing at Kami and Popo as they walked around the edge of the Lookout.

Talot wasn't surprised by the question; he had expected Gine to ask sooner or later.

He replied, "I wouldn't exactly say I trust him. I just want to see what this Namekian—Earth's so-called Kami—is capable of. If he can help us find Kakarot, that's great. If not, it doesn't cost us anything.

"Besides, from what I've seen so far, we're not enemies. They don't seem like the type to lie or deceive us."

His simple and direct explanation was enough to be accepted.

Gine nodded after hearing it. "I hope he can find him. Although, given the strength of Earthlings, Kakarot should be fine."

In the short span of two hours, Talot had already managed to ease half of Gine's worries.

He had convinced her that Earthlings had a very low power level. Even if Kakarot's power level was only 2, that would make him stronger than most adult Earthlings.

"Brother Talot, Aunt Gine, do you think that by just walking around the edge, they can actually find Kakarot?" Salari asked curiously.

She had actually been wanting to ask this for a while.

"They probably have a way of seeing things that we can't. Since we've decided to give him time, we can't start doubting him now. Otherwise, it would be like doubting ourselves, wouldn't it?" Talot replied with a smile.

Salari stuck out her tongue playfully, while Gine nodded thoughtfully. "I just realized—he didn't ask us to stay here just to help us find Kakarot, did he? He's also afraid we might cause trouble on Earth, isn't that right, Talot?"

Talot glanced at Gine in surprise, impressed at how much smarter she had become. She had seen through Kami's little scheme so quickly.

"I thought the same, but it doesn't matter. If we really want to leave, he wouldn't be able to stop us," Talot said.
