I opened my eyes slowly and the first thing I saw was Pierce’s brown eyes looking at me with love and admiration. The gentleness in his eyes always makes my heart race. The soft expression on his face that always makes me weak.

“I was too rough last night. I’m sorry,” he whispered while staring at my face.

I faced him and put my pressed palms between my cheek and the pillow. “Thank you.”

He smiled and gently caressed my shoulders. “Feeling better?”

I nodded and bit my bottom lip. “Those guys…last night…”

“I already reported them. They’re at the precinct now and I’ll make sure they’ll be punished.”

“I think someone else was involved. The drug was from the party.”

His jaws clenched. “Just as I thought. Don’t worry. Whoever is behind this, I’ll make sure they’ll be punished too.”

I squeezed my eyes closed. I felt his fingers gently caressing my arm and it went to my cheek, gently brushing his fingers on my skin.
