My mind went blank for a moment before I saw an explosion of light behind my eyes the second He'dtaalh's lips touched my own.

He was practically hunched over in two, trying to make up the height distance between us. Not wanting the kiss to end any time soon, I stood on my tiptoes, as lost in the kiss as he was. His tongue moved freely inside of my mouth, dancing with my own until I didn't know whose belonged to who.

It felt like he was trying to take my soul from my body, only to replace it with his own.

With every second that passed between us, I tasted his desperation, his need to be with me. I tried to wrap my arms around his neck, trying to bring our bodies closer together, but I couldn't reach around his neck.
